Definitely Like the video! Will definitely be buying the C70 (better features, image, dynamic range, and raw) but I like the way you explained your thoughts
At this point I relate immensely to your opening montage.. I'm currently in film school and will be getting a sony fx6.. so I've watched every fx6 video on RU-vid lol
The FX6 is a great machine I've used in on some of my shoots as AC, but then again I've been using the C70 for my main DP work and without the speed booster. Just using the RF 15-35mm f/2.8 for most of my commercial shoot. The crop factor makes it around 24mm - 55mm in terms of focal length. And range is good enough for majority of the shoot. So I don't think Canon did anything wrong, but that's probably because I was pretty invested on RF lenses since the day they launched the EOS R.
@@luisedtr07 True, but also, I don't really shoot any focal length wider than 24mm on my daily work shooting doco, short film and commercials. Anything wider would be more of a stylized shot. And I am able to achieve that using my Canon R5 as a B cam. At the end, it does go back to how invested you are in the brand eco system. RF lenses are great as they are also compatible for RED cameras like the Komodo and Raptor. My take on focal length shotting is always, if it ain't wide enough, just move a few steps back. If not just find a better way to frame it in. Just like how the Godfather was shoot entirely on a 40mm focal length. But then again, the FX6 is really good haha. If I was a Sony shooter on day one, that would be the camera that I will eventually own as well.
The tamron 15-30mm 2.8 g2 lens is a slept on lens it’s similar to the Rf 15-35 the for half the price just gotta get the urth EF to RF adapter the straight through one not the speedbooster
Subscribed 38 seconds into i subscribed. I'm not sure what to call it, but that richness you only ever find in new creators with abundant untapped originality and creativity, thats what you got here. Getting to watch you try new things and... idk dude super stoked to see what you do with this channel or filming editing in general!!!!
Wow man, can’t believe u subbed lol.. I have been binge watching ur lumix videos these past few weeks and they have been great! Decided to purchase a GH6 to test out. Will do some comparison videos soon! 😄 Btw you’re a total beast on the drums bro!
I'm a Canon r5 and r user and I totally agree. I don't want to use EF lenses and they simply don't care. Sony is taking the EF dominance over lenses by far. Canon adopted a really weird strategy. No 3rd party lenses, no new lenses and the ones that exist are crazy crazy expensive. They're pushing users to Sony system to be honest
I have and love two C70s but have been to several events lately and I have not seen a single C70 but multiple FX6s at each event. So the FX6 clearly for events and concerts at least seems to be the choice. The only thing I really do dislike about the C70 is that the autofocus is not reliable at all and for what I do I really need that feature. So I may switch to FX6 and FX3 as B cam.
@@EdmundElijah Also 10 stops of NDs are the only option if you want to use internal NDs. 7 stops in FX6 is not enough for any prime lens, it's like you don't have internal NDs at all, but there are too many noobs on this world not realizing that, and that's why Sony exists :) :)
Ooh brave video haha. I got so much hate for not loving the C70 in my review despite saying great things about it, my most disliked video. I completely agree on your points, although the C70 image is slightly better it does have flaws as a camera that the FX3 and FX6 don’t have. The lens situation is frustrating too. Subbed.
As a musician, I can only comment that you said four-way, instead of your first journey into photography being a foray. You have four-ways in life, I have forays - we are not the same.
@@luisedtr07 c70 has better color science, but speedboster is making magenta circle. Fx6 no audio when on gimbal, nd a bit short. I really dont wanna use ef lenses on c70. Hmmmm
I read comments about the Sony exists for nobbies, Everyone has their tastes and opinions about cameras and their color science, but where Sony vs Canon differs is that Sony have a better sensor, better options codec and their Slog 3 is unbeatable vs Canon only has CLog, the creppy problem of Canon's are bad in low light conditions and supposedly they have RAW and It is not a real RAW because is 10 bits, only the Fx3, Fx6 Fx9, BMPC with Atomos has a real 16 bit RAW, that is when many when they switch from Canon to Sony say holy cow why wait so long to try them? Canon always was designed for photography and they are trying to beat with the others to keep making money. The fx6 is an excellent camera but if someone has tried the fx3 as I have 2 of them I can tell you that the C70 falls short in many things, about the internal ND's it's better use external ND filters, is much better bc Tiffen, Peter McKinnon, Freewell etc etc they make better cinematic tint, about the resolution many say ohh but the Sony does not have 8k, perhaps are you going to release a film in 8k when neither RU-vid nor Netflix show movies in 8K? they are barely in 2k. C'mon guys everyone enjoy their camera and get the best out of it, it's not the arrow is the Indian who is behind the camera makes it shine and brings life to the films arts. Good video bro. 🍻
Thank you! I agree with you 100% about the Sony line up. I think right now they are the ones making it easier for creators to create. Simply put. On the NDs though.. IDK man. I just did a new video comparison the 3 most popular NDs in the marketplace and I was really disappointed with both the PP and Freewell filters. I also tested the Nisi and they were the ones that came out on top in my opinion. Check out the ND video I did and let me know what you think!
Dude you had an opportunity to buy an ursa 12k? Let’s not talk about image quality because you would be highly embarrassed. Good luck with your Fx6. Hope it makes you a lot of money.
@@luisedtr07 My issue is that you cannot buy the FX6 as sony is not shipping it to retailers right now due to chip shortages and its been completely out of stock everywhere in the US for like 8 months. Ive called every single retailer that sells cameras in the US that I could find even small mom and pop places cannot find one.
@@luisedtr07 you know there is no difference between a lens made for s35 and a lens mate for FF when using a s35 camera. The camera image will be the same dof and brightness if both lens are say 35mm F2.8. The only difference is the camera is only using the sharpest portion of the FF lens
My problem with Sony is really only the lens options, I know that with adapters you can use any lens but I’m worry if it makes vignettes with them… and also not having angle shutter and false colors
