@@aquilanusUK I really like my layout tbh. I put my jump to L2, deflect to X, and Alt fire to R1. Btw, I did this for Echo and Lucio, and it REALLY improved my Lucio play.

@@nickmacon300 it's very similar to mine, except I use L3 for deflect :) You just need to experiment with your sensitivity and maybe lower the aim assist then :) L2 for jumping is best for nearly all heroes too.

I personally find any of the spectating/commentary videos to be fun to watch - so more is always cool. That being said - it's a big responsibility to tell a player they are or aren't good enough for comp.

@@Youre-Welcome I just recently made the switch to PC. I will say that mouse and keyboard is more difficult.. It definitely has a lower skill floor and higher skill ceiling. But long time PC players act like aim assist is like some kind of cheat code console players have and it's just not true

The aim assist sucks in my opinion ( at least in overwatch). I used to play ps4 and i just took it off. i find it does more bad than good especially on hero's like widowmaker and mccree when headshots are key

To be fair, QP is an absolute free for all, it has no rules, players do whatever and people tend to either overcommit over anything or are absolutely sleeping with their games on. I'll never forget back in season 3 when I played a QP match as Tracer, and had to deal trhoughout the whole game with 3+ people chasing me to the end of the map, including one support and one tank, while my team somehow would lose 5v3 and still trash talk me.

Nothing to do with the TV. It seems that a lot of console players (regardless of what hero they play) don't adjust the settings. So many play on default button layout, which on PlayStation at least can be finger twisting af. I spent hours and hours changing every single hero's button config, and whilst I'm still not that brilliant at some heroes, such as genji, it's made it so much easier to play them. From what I can see of his game play, all he needs to do is adjust the sensitivity settings for both vertical and horizontal. Doesn't need to be a drastic change either. He can just raise it by 5 until its comfortable, and then raise it again, rather than just totally ramp it up to max. I try my best to let people know how simple it is to make changes for playing on console, but a lot either don't use mic or just don't want to try it. Oh well.

That genji just needs to increase sensitivity up a little bit and turn the auto aim down a little. I'm a ps4 player and whilst I'm still not brilliant at genji, it's helped a lot.

I know it's mostly useful for like protecting yourself and reflecting specific abilities but it can also be used to turn around a ton of burst damage at a choke if you can use it right.

You don't really need to stop moving. Just claw grip and use your pointer finger to press down on the D pad. Granted it's much easier on PS4 than Xbox, but even then you can always just jump and do it mid-air to keep your momentum.

@@untapped8776 I use the jump thing too. Allows you to move and still use comms wheel.

Getting a controller with bottom paddles or even buttons is great for that, especially for lucio wallriding

@@deadmaniac0472 For DPS, yes. I played on default before realizing I could change them and got used to it. I think most of the tanks got changed, and Ana should be like the hitscan. Mercy and Lucio just got the minor changes to their kits, and Brig is somewhere around my Rein but I don't run her.

A deflecting ability tank would be cool... something like an ult that absorbs damage then shoots it back.

Are you on Xbox or PS4? I personally think PS4 controllers are better, because you take less time to thumb buttons

@@deadmaniac0472 Xbox One, personally. They're not... too different from each other, save for maybe their performances are better in PS4, IMHO, than XB1 most days. I don't really edit too much on most of the heroes settings (about 89% of them are still the same), save for my most used Support characters. I optimized them to fit my personal needs, and help me try to perform better during Comp. I think the controls are at least relatively the same, although I personally can't say for sure, as I don't own the PS4 version of Overwatch. But from watching StealthHacker back from their PS4 days on Overwatch, I've noticed the buttons aren't... too different. Then again, everyone sets theirs up different. I did mine my way because it suits me. It is pretty cool that people on other consoles are able to perform better with less input! I'm still just trying to learn to walk the maps backwards.

@@KatTheGamerGalYT it's mostly left stick placement, but because Xbox controllers are bigger and the left stick is above the d pad rather than below, it makes it longer to press the button
