Too faced really had the right vision for that little palette but I wish they would focus on updating their formulas. There’s so many amazing formulas on the market today.
Amen. I enjoy the smaller palettes too and I enjoy these latest mini Too Faced palettes but agree whole heartedly they need to update their eyeshadow formula. They can be so dry and their metallics, shimmers and sparkly shades are dry and hard to stay put. I mean even Morphe’s latest chrome palettes are so amazing. If they can change their formula Too Faced can. I do love my Natasha and Indie brands more.
Thank you for doing update videos like this! Consumer culture has encouraged us to talk about new makeup releases all the time instead of focusing on what we already have. So this was fun! 💕
She literally spent $1000 on more things she will likely not use...your comment makes no sense. Focusing on what you already have? Yet she bought a bunch of useless items@@Stefistat
The Sephora where i live is garbage. I employees are not helpful. Every sample of ANYTHING has been smeared all over everything. I quit shopping there years ago. I just shop at $ tree and walgreens now. Our Ulta is shyt too, and im over it. You'd be surprised at how well walgreens products work! (Im older, still havent found the right foundation)
I appreciate how you've detailed your Sephora spending experience. Your regrets show a real commitment to thoughtful consumerism, and that's admirable. Looking forward to more of your reflections!
I’ll never forgive urban decay for getting rid of the naked foundation(in the clear container). It was INCREDIBLE for my dry/combo skin, covered ALL my texture and felt so lightweight. Not to mention the awesome shade range they had. I also wish brands would use less harsh undertones in their foundations, nars is notorious for INTENSE undertones especially with their medium/full coverage products which makes it even harder to sheer the undertone out
i’ve been really struggling with foundations as well, which is weird because i think my bare skin is the best it’s been in my life. the only ones that look good on me are haus labs, the lisa eldridge skin tint, and jung saem mool cushions
I’ve been having those same problems too. I have a couple of go to foundations I’ve had to go back to just feel pretty in my skin. I mean when I wear makeup I want it to look good not dry and patchy.
Oh god that ABH foundation reminds me of the BareMinerals foundation stick. I remember buying that early on in my makeup obsession and I forced myself to finish it during the pandemic, but it was HORRIBLE.
Thank you for this. I can’t wait for ND to drop the next liquid foundation. I’ve had the same issues as you for foundations. I don’t wanna have to babysit or “fix” foundation to get it to work well.
7:43 I hate that you have to deal with textured skin (for you), but I’m so grateful for your content bc I struggle with the same issues! I don’t have sensitive skin, but a lot of products (especially base products) do not work for me. You’re one of the only creators I see that addresses textured skin and difficulties that come along with it!
I love the look you were wearing in the clip applying the Fenty highlights! 😍😍 White tank, fresh blond hair, light shimmery eyes, and that glowy cheek! You look like an angel! So pretty! White really makes your skin glow!
Let me just say... Makeup is really not for me, I know you from your perfume content. But this video came up in my feed and I immediately was like "sign me the f up" because I like hearing you talk :)
I have been using ND concealer as a foundation since it launched. I combine two colors and I love all over my face. I have dry skin and am 41 years old for the record.😊😊
I enjoyed this video, i wish influencers wouldnt assume something youve talked about is boring or we know which products you already love. I have no idea & dont want to search for a video always to learn that
I feel like recent foundations have been dubious since they are more about some new gimmick then making a good foundation. Its something that shouldn't be messed with if the formula works, but that doesn't mesh well with brands needing to launch new products multiple times a year. I'd purchase an OG foundation formula over a newly released one every time
I purchased the CT plumper and had high hopes. It looked pretty (I had Med-Deep) BUT I couldn’t handle the stinging, tingling sensation that seemed to last waaaaay too long! Ten minutes later I was still feeling it! I knew I would avoid reapplying it because I did not enjoy the sensations it gave my lips. I returned it even though I really wanted to love it. Thanks for such thorough reviews.
I didn't love that Pat McGrath baby pink powder, as it seemed more powdery than the translucent one, which I loved; however, Stephanie Marie recommended going over the powder with a barely damp beauty blender. I tried that and wow, I love it now. I've been going over all my powder products with a slightly damp beauty blender. Game changer for sure.
Hi! I'm a newer subscriber and have been watching you nonstop for a long while now. just on a roll haha 💜I saw you review the Dermalogica Milkfoliant baby spit-up product. lol. I seems super similar to the Peach and Lily glass skin face polish. It helps with the dryness around my mouth, too. and the big size is $48 instead of the $66 for the oat one. :D
It could be because you’re getting older and skin changing. I noticed that I had to switch from liquid to concealer or using a cream to powder on my skin.
Have you tried the Tower 28 Sunny Days skin tint yet? I know you love their concealer and I really enjoy the concealer but I LOVE the skin tint! I also really struggle with enlarged pores that can look terrible under makeup and I reeeeallly hate how a lot of bases sit on my skin and look so obvious and mask-like. The Sunny Days is GORGEOUS. It's light-medium coverage and there's a non-greasy glow that's just so pretty. I really love how it looks on my skin and it blends so easily too. And it's SPF 30 so you can mix a few drops into your sunscreen to make something tinted without diluting your protection! Plus the lightest shade is such a good match for my extremely pale cool-toned complexion, huge recommend for any pale girlies (like guaranteed shade 1 in every brand IF it's not too dark and orange kinda girlies) Can't say enough about this product, I think you might love it Lauren.
One trick that works great for very dry concealer. I apply eye cream and add my concealer. It worked for my LYS. Also Iconic London concealer is perfect as it is not drying. Does not crease and sets quickly. I got it in a Boxycharm box. 😂❤😊
I love my plumpgasm! I have two of them, they are moisturizing but I agree the plumping isn’t intense, I put my NYX lipclicks over it then a gloss and it’s such a good combination, no white ring for me
Lauren, I have a good suggestion for foundation. Try the new MAC Foundation. I was not sure because I am like you about foundation. It’s actually beautiful on the skin.
I know you've been struggling finding a foundation lately. You should try the YSL All Hours foundation! They reformulated recentlyish and it's GREAT. I have dry skin with dry patches and it's super finicky too and I LOVE this foundation. Great coverage, lasts all day long, natural finish that I don't have to set on my dry skin, and it looks gorgeous on the skin.
I am still on the hunt for a med-full coverage foundation natural finish that leans slightly matte, that is silicone free and cruelty free. Tall order! The only one I like enough to keep using is the Glossier Stretch Fluid foundation which I know doesn’t work for everyone. The LYS serum foundation (more like a skin tint) is okay, but I don’t love it. I don’t wear foundation every day and am happy to use either a loose mineral foundation alone or just concealer alone. I have so much make up in general and am using up and getting rid of a lot before I buy any more. Helps that nothing new is calling to me. 😂
I really like putting my Haus Labs blush (I got the hibiscus one) on top of the Rare Beauty highlighter. I find the highlighter WAY too shiny and kind of glittery, but it looks quite nice under a pigmented blush.
For the ABH stick skin tint, would you be willing to re-visit that product in the wintertime when the air is usually dryer and skin needs the extra moisture? I'm betting many of the not so great reviews may be due to the hot, humid summer weather. This may be a two season product
Well that Urban decay foundation you were talking about at the beginning I bought it to a couple of weeks ago I was disappointed in it and as much as that cost it's going back 🤷 I'll stick with my Estee Lauder😊
Love your videos and always love seeing what you think:) Side note-I got the belief moisturizing eye bomb and it irritates my eyes so bad, if anyone knows they like it I am going to sell it since it doesn’t work for me and I only used it once.
I honestly think it’s just the foundation formulas these companies are coming up with that are the problem because I’ve had an issue with it too. The only thing that works for me is the ELF halo glow filter and even then I have to add powder products over top to make sure it’s not too greasy
THANK YOU I feel so validated right now when I first tasted the Ole Henriksen in Cocoa cream I said it tasted like blood, and I definitely thought I was the only one lmao! 💗
I LOOOOVE the Tillbury plumping gloss. I love everything about it, the packaging, the shade, the plumpness, and I really love the gourmand scent. It is my favorite gloss of all time lol 😆 I’ve never bought a bougy gloss before, so I cherish this thing. I feel so lux when I pull it out 😊 That gloss looks amazing with Tillbury lip liner in Iconic Nude
My first time on your channel so if you’ve tried these I apologize. But I have similar shade and sounds like we have similar texture. I really like the TirTir that’s been going around but also Shiseido self syncing foundation is my ride or die. It’s been out for awhile so people probably forget about to. It’s magic. Idk how they do it.
I hope at some point you’ll make a video of the best satiny eyeshadows. I just watched your palette declutter, where you mention you have started liking those more, and you mention how the Dior ones in this video are flattering on the eyes 😊
7:42 ofc Lauren is always gorgeous but the saie concealer is giving 2003 drugstore quality. I say this because I was a toddler mom then & tried to start doing concealer & it always looked like that - doll skin shade imo not many humans - how much bluish-purplish do they think we have in our skin? I’ve finally started wearing concealer& loving it, due to formula improvements (I had no idea I had such a finicky face, never expected my 50s to be when all my makeup dreams came true, mostly at very nice price points if a person does some legwork & research! It actually makes me really mad when I see a brand like saie offering up 2003 elf (don’t believe my sisters in their Rosie glasses, that early makeup was pretty terrible but they were the 1st to really try to make cheap makeup look cute, I thot wet & wild was a decoy brand designed to disappoint & drive sales to other brands tbh, it was bad in every way, that concealer still provokes me, even tho it never went above $3). Oh Lordy I waked & I baked & I writed a book 😂
I loved the way you looked with the Haus Labs matte blush. TBH I don't get out much, since having back trouble, and I depend on you to let me know what's new in cosmetics. You're wearing what I would call intense shimmery blush, and I just don't really get it. Maybe if it was countered with a matte eye or lip? When you're out and about, do you see many women with this bright blush? I would be curious to see you in a more tanned look, with matte lips and your pretty shadows. I think it would be very sexy and less cute. Would you consider trying it and seeing the comments?
It's odd that you're questioning whether intense blush is popular, especially when you stated that you rely on this channel for makeup info. Also, your "sexy and less cute" comment is icky. You are asking her to tan (?) and wear matte products. When did her skin tone become not sexy? Furthermore, she has said many times that she loves shimmer. Your "sexy" is asking her to wear things she doesn't prefer. Her "cute", in my opinion, has always looked stunning, timeless, and beautiful. She knows makeup and she knows what she likes. Asking her to do different because her preferences don't fit yours is icky.
