Moisture retention: The wax helps the cheese retain moisture and prevents it from drying out. Appearance: The wax gives the cheese a distinctive look. You can freeze the duck fat in an ice cube tray and then you have a little amounts you can pop out.

OMG I love using duck fat for searing any steak I make. It is also incredible when you add it to roasted potatoes!!! There is a store here in Los Angeles that I go to for some great imported products - including some of the best French butters you have ever had!!!! Imported cheese, jams & jellies, crackers, cookies, tin fish... and they are open to the public (they supply restaurants and other businesses) so their prices are much lower than you typical 'gourmet shops'. Refrigerate the fat after you open the container. It will keep for a very very long time in the frig. When ready to use next time, just take it out, let it sit for a little bit (as it will be solidified) and scoop out as much as you need and back into the frig goes the unused container. :)

P.S. we store our duck fat in a sealed tight container and keep in the fridge (coldest part).

There’s prepared chicken meat (thicker slices than the deli meat) in the refrigerated prepared foods section, variety of flavors, good stuff!

i ate it today for lunch and immediately wish i had some spaghetti and meatballs to go with it! it really has a typical pizza flavor but tasting it in a salad was strange! it was still good though! i also think it would be great in a meatball sub sandwich 😁

Duck fat is supposed to be the ultimate when it comes to fried or roasted potatoes of any sort, including french fries. I looked for the other video you said would be posted by the time this one went up but I can’t find it.

It seems cruel to me, too, but so do all animal products where the animal is killed. It doesn’t seem as cruel as pate, where a tube is shoved down their throats, though. However I am not a vegetarian, though I believe that is more ethical, so I can’t criticize duck fat any more than the things I eat. 😅
