LeBron worked with Nike and they came up with a lion logo for him (in reference to his nickname as “the King”). So that’s likely what the half LeBron/half lion shirt is based on. If you look at the LeBron Nikes, they have lions on them. Also, I love the way you pronounce Nike and Adidas 😂😂
God I remember watching you at 14, as a high school drop out wishing I could be as cool as you 😭 now I’m 17 and a sports student. How times have changed.
The story behind the founding of Adidas in Germany is v interesting - guy was called Adi Dassler hence the pronunciation, and his brother founded Puma as a rival brand
Nike was the only one I noticed that was pronounced “incorrectly,” but very charmingly. I liked hearing the Adidas pronunciation as well, it’s definitely correct, but in the US we butcher many words!
I used to be part of a company that had a partnership deal with Reebok, who at the time was owned by Adidas. We were invited to take part in a presentation at the Global Brand Conference, and I remember that in our very first meeting one of the first things they told us was that Americans all pronounce Adidas wrong. The way she is pronouncing it is actually correct!
Love that blouse it looks unique aas for Elbat as a animal hmmmm A Meerkat... Tall, Inquisitive, Lover of Cats and bring joy, fun and laughter and caring community
I'm not sure if it was mostly a thing in the US but the wrinkly blouse is called a popcorn top 🤣 They were HUGE in the early 2000s and there were even hats made out of that material
Definitely a capybara! I have no explanation why but you give me capybara vibes 😅 (Might be my brain being broken, I'm in the middle of exams right now, and my thoughts are getting more questionable day by day)
That black "crinkle" button-up blouse has GOT to be from the 90s when those were everywhere in the USA. They generally came and looked like a child's size, but with all the ruching and ruffling, an adult woman could fit into them.
I don't think this would be particularly your style, but with the floral skirt you could put it with a tucked in white t-shirt, dainty gold necklaces, maybe some bangle bracelets, ankle booties, and a hat (think those fabric boater hats/ fedoras that tumblr hipsters were wearing years ago lmao). It would take it from grandma to church/very summery but sweet and modest. Saw a lot of stuff similar to this in Utah USA
There's a 1 kilo event thing in some areas of the UK, mainly Brighton area that has a bunch of clothes in a hall to choose from and you get charged per kilo of clothes. The prices start higher at the beginning of the day but by 4pm you can get things for under £10 per kilo. They usually have more proper vintage and unique pieces. There are still a good amount of branded items but a lot of the pieces are things that are good to style and not necessarily just a shirt with a brand name on.
The floral skirt is giving boiled sweets I have to say 😂 The final curated outfit is giving Ali G with the hat and the chain but with your own jacket at the end looks much better!
A gazelle (Edit: figured I should probably elaborate but all I've got is that that's what my brain came up with and then refused to remember any other animals, so there you go lol)
12:22 That is a legitimately FANTASTIC idea. Animal wise, you're quite obviously a chipmunk. I can see it now; a smouldering, serious pic of half of your face alongside a cutesy wee chipmunk in black and white looking classy as FUUUUUUUU- EDIT: NO! A flying fox bat. They're so damn sweet and cute. Go and look for RU-vid videos about flying fox bats. Do it right now! You won't be disappointed.
I almost exclusively wear used clothes. Some time ago I got a pair of emporio armani jeans from a friend. Truly, it was the best pair of jeans I ever had! really comfortable, and it lasted longer than most other brands. For your t-shirt design, I'd say you remind me of a husky. Don't know why tho. Maybe it's because I feel I can really trust you, and you always keep going, no matter what. Nothing seems to hold you back. The "adorable factor" is really high in both you and huskies too, but that might just be my quirky mind XD
So funny story, those blouses were popular among older ladies maybe 15 years ago. They were often marketed as one size fits all. I remember my boss's retired mother had one, though it was pullover not button down.
He is known as King James. So King of the Jungle reference. The curated box was probably the best over all, but i think I did like that flowery skirt with the black top you loved the best.
I don't get why you don't absolutely love the black pencil skirt 😍 I have one just like that and it's one of my absolute favourite clothing items! You can combine it with almost any top. For work with a more preppy top, or for an laid-back yet elegant leisure look: With an oversized T-Shirt, flat boots and elegant earrings. 👌
I could see the floral skirt with a chunky sweater and chunky leather boots for winter, or a cropped white tank top and white, low converse for summer. The length is definitely tricky.
I would style the floral skirt with a white mock neck top, knee high boots and an oversized jacket (blue denim or brown suede) and gold jewelry. I think its really pretty
I love that there's more options popping up for people wanting to try out thrifting. Tbh I don't think I could ever do one of these boxes though. The shipping part of it kind of cancels out part of the sustainability, especially since I won't see or be able to try on the pieces until I get them. I also am very particular about how a fabric feels and finding pieces with specific silhouettes (I'm a short, large-chested woman, and I don't wanna look like a pillowcase lol). If it gets more people to start shopping second-hand then that's a great step!
Okay the floral skirt is so cute! You could do a plain black tee and a thick woven belt and some low ankle boots or you could wear some cute slides with it and maybe a white bag
I was suprised by how similar the clothes seemed originally. It seemed so basic. But the quality really shines through honestly. I think the curated box outfits looked way nicer.
I'm not gonna lie the first mystery box feels more like a crime against humanity and with the prize you payed even more 😂. The second one is decent at least, i wouldnt wear it but its giving. How you make any of the pieces of the first box look good is beyond me, so im guessing it's all you . I would have not touched any of these pieces, let alone wear them😂. Would wear the shirt with you on ! Make it a worm or a lamb ! :D Love the new trying-on-clothes corner, looks very comfi. Bestie not the ydyb placement at the end with the fleece 😂, i saw that :D
Skillshare Link-Clicker here....I swear to god, this sponsorship was a godsend. I want to do covers of songs and produce my own music videos....and even though I have learned to film and edit with the equipment at my university, after graduating I have to start fresh with new unfamiliar tools...plus, pick up music production from scratch. AND make a youtube channel. And probably put it on other streaming plattforms. I didn't even know where to start and just found so many classes on Skillshare to help me. I feel like I finally got a grip. Thanks babe.
The black top that she loves was a big thing in the early 90's in New York. They were a "one size fits all" type shirt and looked horrible on pretty much everyone.
the black blouse with the ruffles reminds me of a similar one I used to have when I was 7/8yo, pretty sure that style was all the craze in the late 90s, at least here. I remember seeing them around haha
I unsubscribed many channels which I accumulated over 10 years which i no longer watch or intend to watch. I wanted to turn a page and deleted social media because of how unhappy it was making me, wasting time. I couldn't unsubscribe to you. I hope you're doing well Ellbat😁
@@Ellbat so happy you have such an amazing pair of fuzzy pals!! As a cat lover myself, it’s always so amazing to watch others fall in love with kitties. Plus Atlas and Gaia are just SO gorgeous
owaiqfpadkw I forgot you remind us to hydrate at the end and genuinely needed it you may have just saved me from a dehydration headache I am downing so much water rn
I was checking to see if anyone had commented and you saved me the trouble. I'm so not a sports fan (I LOATHE American football) but I lived in New Orleans and have family there, so can't escape knowing who the Saints are even just by their logo.
Who here laughed when they saw the ruched black top she loves and has never seen before? Because I remember those being so popular in maybe the late 90s or early 2000. Can't remember exactly what year but it was common and I had few tops like it. I was likely in middle school.
I think the perfect animal for the split tee idea is your cat that walked through this video at 22:20. Its fur matches your hair color, and why not split your image with an animal you already love?
Armani and Lacoste are not cheap brands. I love the jeans and would definitely keep them. I also love the black outfit you put together! They look nice on you too. I think a gazelle or antelope is a good fit for you 😊 Edit: Fav quote "It's giving circumcised penis" 😂😂😂
The black blouse we called pop corn shirts in the US they are one size fit almost all, but not. These tops are out of fashion here. They were mostly sold at chain drug stores often for like $5 US . Unfortunately, an elderly friend loved these. It looks much better on you than my 74 year old friend.
The best item is definitely the black ruffle shirt - although I thought it was horrible until you put it on. If you did up the shirt completely with the black skirt and put on some ballet flats or chunky loafers - you could easily wear it to an office. Not a fan of the curated items at all. I think the blue shirt gives off night shirt. I have a very different style (would totally wear that Rebok shirt to the gym). But still love many of your outfits!
