Going Medieval just released its Water and Fishing update, so I build a castle on a new lake! 0:00 intro 9:06 hardest difficulty 54:45 final thoughts on game
I train my animals (especially goats) to haul (trained animals give birth to trained animals so it’s efficient to do it earlier and set up stockpiles that are high priority with very specific requirements. Then my animals sort my inventory in the background while my settlers do important tasks. I basically have no settlers doing any hauling very early into the game with this, though animals can’t haul via ladder so my settlers will haul in those cases
The first time I've played a game before TRM!! Big ups to Foxy Voxel, the devs of Going Medieval. The game is a bit buggy, but they do a lot of good work to fix major issues quickly after new updates (which are pretty regular). TRM, you never got raided by trebuchets! I'm not sure why since you were playing on the highest difficulty, but once you get to a certain point, the raids will show up with siege weapons that sit at the edge of your map and rain destruction on your base. It makes the game super hard if you don't have a well trained militia to sally out and deal with them. Anyways, I guess you'll have to make another video on this game in the future!
Good vid, big enjoy. I would like to see more themed playthroughs much like how with Rimworld you can have different styles of ideoligions, like a vampire castle under attack by mortals would be dope as a vid
loved the vid, loved the game. The bugs and some mechanics in the game i think are making it less enjoyable, and boy there are some nasty ones. I tried it like a year ago and stopped mainly for bugs (damn i couldnt make a functional underground facilithy work). Maybe try mods? i think there the devs encouraged ppl to do it. Otherwise, wait for at least the AI is improved. Happy holidays, keep whatever game you feel like coming!!
Devs are very pro mods. I know the water update broke a couple things since it was pretty big. Underground cellars were nerfed at some point but still work as long as you find a more recent guide. Most of the guides are pre nerf and no longer apply
This is such a dope video, id love a more building asthetics focused run building the prettiest castle possible since the difficulty doesnt appear too intense
Archers having a hard time hitting seemingly easy targets is usually due to visual obstacles. Rey building towers next to the entrances and cut trees near the base.
So 1. Your archers not shooting at people u want to or start running away from their position happens if they dont have line of sight to the target you manually assinged to them. The walls you built around your pond were the main reason for that. 2. People only get Mental breaks if their mood is too low for too long. Also if u want people to slowly level crafting skill just make a scrap items order and have them scrap gear from raiders that u dont need.
There is talk of a prisoner system in the future but it’s yet to be implemented as the game is still early access. Devs are slowly but consistently continuously adding content
Pretty good Construction and defenses. What SEED did you use to make this map? I like the layout of the maps resources, and feel it would be great for a Lone-Wolf, or 5 Settler start. 👍👍 10⭐
I think the point of this game is for long plays instead of 100 days. It's not hard to get up to 30 in a skill if you've got people dedicated to one of two jobs.
The devs are very passionate about their game and put a lot of love into the game. Think Project Zomboid, they take their time with making large updates and produce quality. They have work to do still and have an ambitious road map. I would say its worth adding to your Wishlist and waiting for a sale, and if you don't want to spend money, at least follow the progress of the game as it gets updated.
@@wyatttrombley im not sure, do you mean spoiling the experience because it’s not finished? Well if you are basically waiting until the game is at it’s peak and finished state, best put it as a wish list and hold off. However, I do think the game is fun and you will have a nice experience that will be worth your money, especially if you get it on sale. If you are having a lot of doubt, maybe just wish list it for now and keep up to date as it gets updated.
It would be complicated to have beams intersect roof surfaces, since often a beam is used to support an area that would not allow a structure on it otherwise. A lot can be done using partial roofs and beams together that makes levels of lofts possible.
i got this game since the game launch but didn't even try to play it yet. it's similar to rim world and i just got bored from rim world at the time so i just stop play this kind of game.
Was so confused @28:09 i heard "this dude's C-word is being pursued by a bunch of guys" EXCUSE ME?!!!! LOL Other than that, your base is a mess, consider setting up your single entry across a single tile wide bridge with several reinforced doors along it, and a firing position on the flank so they are more easily exposed to your bowmen and can only attack a door one wide and 2 deep, instead of 3 wide and 2 deep whilst not being able to hide from attack. It might be frustrating to you that the characters keep going to melee attack when you want them to fire their ranged weapons, but i assure you it's more frustrating to hear you complain, when you set them up to fire at mobs BEHIND WALLS!!! What do you expect them to do?! Fix your base so attacking mobs don't have walls to hide behind and give your archers clear shots so they don't have to engage with melee. smh Sorry i should add, i'm enjoying the video overall, but you have a few things to fix and it's not the game at fault :P
Do a video on cocaine, rewatch learn how your voice has emotion and implement into future videos. Boom you’re a millionaire. I’ll take my cut in cash for undisclosed reasons
