To make keeping your desired colors easier for a later army, your best bet is to make a "Color" line that you keep separate from all the mutating. Then, once you have all the mutations you want, combine the mutated line with the color line until you get a perfect male and female with both the colors and mutations, and breed your army up using those two. Since mutations always cause a color change, this is a lot easier than trying to keep the colors throughout the whole mutation process. Also, could you name a dino Nadia? Its the name of my cat :)
For sure man that's a great tip I just like all my babies to come out with my maternal/paternal colors in case I get something even better during the line :) I can definitely do that though, I'll write Nadia down for my next run!
@@MrRums if you do find something better during mutating- keep a male or breed the colors onto a male. Then at the end when you have all the stat mutations you want, just breed your color mutated male with the perfect stat females until you get perfect stat + color babies. Much faster than trying to breed stat mutated babies that maintain the colors you want when starting with the colored breeder

Your beach experience was very different from mine... I was able to travel basically all along the beach without running into anything nastier than a Ichthy, and canoed over to a little island where nothing bigger than a dilo spawned to build my base xD
@@MrRums two video ideas. First, you could try to do a two player one hundred days with a another ark RU-vidr or a friend. Second, a series of you playing ark that could be cut into 10-20 minutes videos so you could upload more. @@willsutherland3161 So you place foundations underneath the gates, then build walls reaching allll the way to the top of the gate and then put ceiling tiles on top! Then you can put more gates or whatever else up there. It’s a bit expensive but it’s definitely worth it haha. I hope that makes sense, I’ll try to showcase it better in my next video :)

Nice vídeo! Just a tip for breeding use females with out any mutations and use only mutated males to breed, after 20 mut in each side you cant get anymore mutations until you stack up to 2 bilion and reach negative mutation (you can stack them but you wont get anymore stats because of that)
For sure Prome that's the way it's supposed to work normally, that's a great tip! I was wiping their internal stacks every round in the video, so I'm able to stack paternal and maternal mutes past 20 without any limitations :D The bug's been around on official since at least scorched, it's how people are able to get crazy pat/maternal stacks on newly released dinos so quickly on official lines! It's definitely a bug but wildcard hasn't addressed it since it was discovered all those years back so I say it's fair game and saves me from the alternatives haha :p
Yeah I typically won't craft an expensive saddle for an argy on PVE, considering how easy it is to avoid damage on them I just stick with whatever I find/craft first :P
Have they changed something about mutations? I remember stacking the mutation counter is worth nothing. I havn't played a while but i remember mutations to work like: You get a Mutation: you get +1 Mutation Counter, higher stat, different color in a color zone. If you just breed 2 mutated dinos, they dont get higher stats or different colors. they just stack up the counter. And after you get the max ammount of mutations, you have a 0% change to get higher stats or colors. Thats why you breed a mutated male with unmutated females. Breeding in Ark is a little tricky and the UI gives you missinformations. Is it still like that?
So "usually" over 10 paternal mutations blocks more stat mutations, but if you breed the same number of paternal/maternal mutations back into one another the mutation counter goes up and you can still get stat increases over 10, it's a little bit of a bug but it's been around for ages and used commonly on officials so I'm still in the habit of using it haha. I could just wipe the paternal mutations on the same dinos if I had a low level mate or a breeding chamber but it's all the same :P
@@myzlat941 Indeed! I don't think it'll be patched too soon either it's been around for ages. That's one of the ways you see brand new dinos get crazy paternal/maternal numbers on official's so quickly :P

@@erosgamingttv939 happened to me all the time when I was still playing. I lived on boats only. Had a sneaky spot on the island and only got found once. Always had plant x up for the whales and daily repairs on em. I'd build my rafts in a square formation to create essentially what gen 2 ocean platforms brought.
