I don't understand how people shiny hunt. I've been hunting Spiritomb for the past month, and I still haven't found it.

@@Estalarki Patience my man. Spiritomb I would recommend doing Masuda Method, but if you're playing in BDSP and you haven't finished the national dex to get the charm (which I'm 160 hours in and still missing some swarms) it's not gonna be easy.

Exactly, I completely agree. I’m hoping that X and Y eventually get remakes because I absolutely love the region.

Yeah, the difficulty can be somewhat flawed but the actual region/experience is pretty fun and actually doesn’t have a garbage story like gen 8

@@mrmatt7246 gen 8's story is so much better, the rival is actually a character, leon is pretty interesting, and the story is actually quite good if you pay attention to the mithology of the region. It's only the second region after unova i think that is unsure about it's legendaries existence

@@Mqstodon I totally agree gen 8's story is better than gen 6's, I love Kalos but way too many characters and ideas are underdeveloped (the champion is a holo shell of a character which is sad TwT) so I agree. that's why I'm hoping for eventual remakes to improve on the story and characters since the region has so much potential

@@HistoricalNerd tbh, every pokemon game is easy in plots. But you can always turn off exp share or/and change team frequently to make game more challenging.

yeah, there's so much nuzwonderweddinglocke content out there, I wish sometimes people just made a regular standalone video about their experience with the regular game

Same, I’ve been doing black 2 hardcore nuzlokes for at least a month now and it’s tiring. I plan on doing just a Pokémon Y nuzloke with some of these included for fun.

XY feels much more like a design based game than a mechanicly based one, the cities in Kalos are probably some of the better looking ones and feel like actual towns. Not to say other games had bad designg but for example; Luminoise feels like a real city. I can't remember the last time I replayed gen 6 and didn't get lost in that maze of cafes and streets.

As of recently, I've re-run it for the first time since 2016 (goodbye old savefile, maybe if I modded it sometime before, I wouldn't have to mourn that). I'll preface by saying I bought into the SM hype and transferred all valuables via Bank only to get my attachment to the franchise severed with Moon. Since the 2016 Christmas until the last weeks, I've had Pokémon fall out of interest (with the newer gens and remakes, it felt whatever was invested on XY for the future wound up in nothing). And while XY has some of the mistakes that these future games haven't fixed, it still manages to feel vibrant in comparison (just texturing alone is the trump card on the graphics). It's far from perfect, but I think it now has a soft spot for rekindling what was once an extinct ember. Who knows if any potential remake would fix the underlying issues, but it might be my lack of trust on GF talking here. Perhaps it's all filed and schemed, hoping to be realized at last.

I agree I wish they did more for Kalos since Zygarde was kinda just there instead of making zygarde a glorified scavenger hunt in sun and moon

I'm still astonished kalos didn't get anything in the way of a third game. I guess maybe gf decided that zygards got its justice in the anime, and that they'd rather put the zygarde stuff into sumo and work on the next generation rather than hope to make a better gen 6 game.

well, XY2 (or whatever they might call it) was planned, but scrapped. (there is evidence for for it, but it wasn't officially stated) so we got a heavily nerfed kalos experience overall. Who knows how far along the development process they were before they had to start changing up their plans for it.

I think Ultra Sun/Moon are better than XY, I still love XY though and have way more nostalgia for it

@@czsup8967 yeah I think gen 1 2 and 3 are classics and will always be loved gen 4 and 5 were underrated gen 6 was relaxing gen 7 was amazing and added so much life to the pokeverse and ill be honest sword and shield are OK but they should have been better

Thank you! The fact that we don't have to catch the Pokemon to complete the dex definitely made it a lot easier. Obtaining the Black Cards in the other games would probably be a lot tougher
