Hey everyone! Hope you are well 😊 This was a really fun one to film, so many delicious foods that I couldn't even try most of them! Let me know in the comments what I should try if I go back again! I am seeing comments saying I shouldn't give food to the kids as it is setting a bad example.. I understand where you guys are coming from but it is a tough situation! If I ignore them when I know they are just hungry then that seems just as bad to me.. I was just trying to be nice, nothing more than that 😅 Anyway this is not something I do often so please try to enjoy the video regardless and know I have taken your comments onboard for the future. Much love 💖

I knew that you felt slightly uncomfortable from those little guys followin you around, but overall, that's the uniqueness of what an experience you've had so far. and this next sentences will for my countrymens, mga mahal kong kababayan, hindi nyo lang nararamdaman pero ramdam ko ang pagkairita sa ilang mga tagpo na napanood ko, sana lang sa susunod ay mayroong Sumaway sa mga maliliit na batang sunud ng sunud sa mga banyaga na namamasyal sa Lugar na yan.
Hi Josh, you’re a nice kind generous guy, so if course you can’t help giving away foods to those kids. To me , don’t find anything wrong with it. Instead Thank you for the kind gesture. That means alot to those poor kids.
That guy on piso net speaks fluent english, very surprising I thought there might be language barrier for a moment :D :D nice one kuya! BTW, love your vlogs Josh, hope you and Kayy earn more subs for showcasing our beautiful country. MABUHAY!
@3:34 Hey Josh! I hope you're doing well. I just wanted to give you a quick tip regarding greetings in Tagalog. While "Mabuhay" is a formal and traditional way of welcoming someone, it might sound a bit too formal for regular conversations. Instead, you can use more colloquial greetings in English with the addition of "po" to show respect and politeness. Here are a few examples: - "Hi po!" - "Hello po!" - "Good morning po!" - "Good afternoon po!" Using these greetings will make your conversations sound more natural and friendly. Keep it up! 💪🏼😉
Thanks for the tip! So many people have said this but unfortunately the videos are a little backdated so there is not much I can do 😅 next trip though I will 100% be doing this
josh TRY TO GO NORTH, MEET WHANG OD,THE FAMOUS ETHNIC TATOO FEMALE ARTIST,JUST GOOGLE IT AT TRY TO GO BAGUIO AND KALINGA. BY" BUS "❤✌️✌️✌️👍👍👍👍👍✌️✌️✌️🙂🙂🙂😊😊😊
Josh, you are so patient with people especially the children. Thanks for sharing your food with them and for being so kind. Have a great experience in your next adventure and stay safe ❤
Hey Josh! So epic to get right in there and try all the amazing food Philippines has to offer 😍🇵🇭👌 Halo halo was OUR favourite dessert in the Philippines - it’s an unbelievable burst of flavour and a surprise in EVERY BITE!! would love to hear some more suggestions from everyone as to what we should try next here in the PHILIPPINES 🇵🇭 🎉
I can honestly say Halo Halo is the worst dessert I have EVER come across. PH food is so bad....I run large expat groups and they constantly moan about the poor quality ! You should actually try adding some meat to your fat !!! 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
You'll notice I used it a few times in this video :) These videos are a little backdated so not much I can do to change the language in them. But thanks for trying to help!
Exactly the same sentiments.
21:35 You won't get sick from consuming ice in the Philippines, not like in India. Most of the ice here are from purified water. What's more, you bought from a decent halo-halo store. Just don't buy drinks from any street vendors so hastily. Look if everything he does is according to proper sanitary standards. You will have a gut feeling if something feels off.
Hello Josh. I know you're very new in thos endeavor with vlogging. But a lot of people already mentioned it here on your comments. And they are true. If you keep giving money or food, you teach kids to not work and be lazy. You'll end up being scammed and whatnot. These advise are coming from a lot of Filipinos and we're looking out for visitors. Just.. dont give too much. It teaches them the wrong ideas. It also gives them the idea that foreign tourists are ATMs. And it also shows the world that we look so poor that foreigners need to take pity on us giving us leftovers and whatnot. Nobody wins. Just advise. Be careful. I know your heart is in the right place, you are such a kind and sweet person. But have boundaries too! But yeah.. welcome to the country! 🎉
Halo-halo is the best in filipino because its here during summer halo-halo everywhere, you can buy to fee you refreshing and fee cold,so many ingredient is depend to the people buy if what you want to put.
When I was a kid, I used to like following guys who visited Philippines too but I was too shy to talk to them because I was scared to speak English (even when I can speak and understand). Not sure what makes me follow people but I had so much fun just being around them. My parents and my older sister moved to America when I was 3 years old and I was scared to talk to my sister over the phone because she prefers speaking English.
You are so kind even when kids are following you, you are not bothered. Harry when he started giving more money had to quickly get away or else the street kids will ask for money.
In your Halo-Halo, the ingredients are regular beans, gelatin (agar), banana, red mungo (mungo beans), shaved ice, carnation milk (not condensed milk like you said), ube (purple yam), and leche flan. One of my favorite desserts.
Monggo (Mong-go) is "Mung Beans" and is a ubiquitous green bean in Southeast Asia. Ube is "Purple Yam", Halo-Halo literally means - Mix-Mix. To fully enjoy the delightful taste of Halo-Halo, it's essential to mix all the ingredients starting from the bottom and working your way up. This ensures that each spoonful has a perfect blend of the various flavors and textures that make this dessert so unique and delicious. Don't miss out on the refreshing sweetness of the fruits, the creamy goodness of the milk, and the crunch of the shaved ice. So, take your spoon and start stirring until you reach the perfect Halo-Halo mix. Leche Flan is "Milk Custard", while Calamansi or Lemoncito is "Philippine Lime."
@@SophiaandBrettyTravel Kind of, as there’s no direct translation for ‘please’ in Tagalog. Hence, we use ‘po’ as an alternative. The closest Tagalog word I could think of for please is ‘pakiusap’. But we don’t use this as it’s too formal for conversations.
Say "konti lang" instead of saying "maliit", more appropriate if you want to say just a little bit. Btw, this is another fun to watch video, as always. Keep it up!
Hi Josh, you can always customize your food just ask them politely (with “PO” at the end of each phrase). You can ask to lessen the milk/sugar/salt etc. It’s okay and not offending, even us locals do that often bc ppl have diff. preferences. Also so you can enjoy it more and not be shocked with strong taste.
"Maliit" is when you describe the size of a person, animal or thing. "Konti lang" is the proper way to describe a small amount. So if someone asks you if you want it spicy or if you want some condiments you can tell them "konti lang po".
Cant wait for you to visit the provinces here in PH, but im already glad youre making vlogs in Ugbo, Tondo, not every vloggers does that. And thats what makes us want to see more of your vlogs. Keep it up, and hope you gain even more followers soon.❤
That video was lit Josh! A lot of food to take in man! Just a bit of advice, you don't need to tip bigtime always. Filipinos are cool with right price. If ever to give a tip, just small like 10-20 peso makes their day already! Burn all those sugars dude! hehe😅✌🇵🇭🇬🇧
Most of the tips were around that area 😊 I don't mind really if I'm in an area like Tondo where people may need it more. I should have gone for a run after this video 😂
I don't know why I'm watching this on my phone, PC and tablet at the same time while trading haha you made me hungry to those food that you're eating right now.
Tagalog tip. instead of saying maliit, for quatities use the word "konti" which mean FEW or smaller quatity. for example, when telling them just a little for sauces, you could say "konti lang"
I think I know why you said, the Philippines is the most FUN COUNTRY IN THE WHOLE ASIA. 1. You can communicate easily and capture their feelings. 2. The people respected you. 3. The prices are cheap. 4. The foods and drinks suits you. 5. And, you like people to people interactions. My advice is: you should print business cards and give it to people so you channel grow will exponentially. Next, go to DIVISORIA and bargain cheap and knockoff products - it's fun and you will appreciate the Filipino more. (a walk distance from Tondo). Give the products to the people.
Wow! Josh, hopefully you won’t have any indigestion with all those food you got! Take care of yourself and your friend Ryyywild! Welcome to my beautiful country, I miss it so much!! Watching from Nevada, USA🇺🇸🇸🇪🇵🇭
Thats good you go to different places in manila thats the first thing you do try to communicate to local people so that you know the attitude of filipino, you will be surprised to all people in the philippine the respct of the kid ,po and opo and thank you if somebody give you anything.
When you greet one person yes you can say"kumusta ka" but if you greet two or more you say " kumusta kayo" kayo means all of you, pronounce kayo=kha-you
You should squeeze the lime we called it calamansi on your siomai before you eat it.. Sorry about the children who stalked you where ever you go they have irresponsible parents and they are still ignorant and i know you understand it you even gave them foods .. very kind man God bless you bro ❤ Stay safe...
When you said maliit that means small. You should have said konti lang(only a little bit). Most people use that reply when people ask oh you speak tagalog?
That philippine food all filipino food but they put some twist in the philippines like original in japanese food but all filipino cuisine they add to some food in different country to more tastes good,..
Just what I said from your previous video that Tondo place is crowded and more people in the street especially children they were asking money and foods Tondo is weired place in Manila City.
Yes , but probably the parents are at work and the kids are roaming around when they are not Supervised…. Nobody’s told them , You right Josh Kids will be kids, Some adults are acts worse than the kids 😂😅😂
oh no!! you went to the wrong halo halo place.. bettee if you went to the original "aling Consuelo" also in ugbo.. better to search the best places first before visiting a place.. from youtube also you can find good references for the places to go
If you say "just a little bit" in Tagalog "Konti lang" If you're going to pay, you say = Bayad po ("Po or Opo" is a sign of respect to someone older than you) You're welcome = Walang anuman How much is this? = Magkano ito? How much is that = Magkano yan? How much = Magkano? Handsome = Pogi or Gwapo or Magandang lalake Beautiful = Maganda (girl) You're beautiful = Maganda ka I love you = Mahal kita I love you too = Mahal din kita Where you from = Taga saan ka? I'm from = Ako ay taga England
