Newly found excellent channel :) [due to your excellent mini build tutorials] I built a 2 track 5000 m bi-directional railway loop around a massive lake last weekend... in survival, manually, it took "quite a while" _tm_ .... 'course, this doesn't get me the achievement for getting off a train 5000 blocks away from where I get on - as the furthest I'm away from the starting station is the diameter of the lake - about 2000 m ... but it's a start to my main network, to branch out from... And I can't recommend enough the experience of riding around a long train ride at night with a magnet backpack to pick up the drops from all the mob road kill :) I thought I'd done it ok, I didn't use cobble for supporting viaducts or filling in once... all slabs from the local biome's trees mostly, and supported :) - tho I used DW20's Building gadget to build-to-me to cross ravines quite a bit ... none of my bridges, (even when I stopped to make them a little more than a massive gangplank) , look as majestic as your mushroom island bridge :) nice inspiration.
