@@kagura7107most Indonesians, Filipinos, and Malaysians are technically from the same race. It's almost impossible to tell them apart from each other by just looking.
@@PerfectSense77 as someone who had been to Boracay for many times and a Filipino too, you are so wrong lmao. It was much worse before. The thing with the peddlers? They are all licensed. You cannot operate any business in Boracay, no matter how small, if you don't have a license to operate. It is much stricter now than ever. Scam tours? They had been a thing but now, they are so scarce. The watchers are keen on this and they are incentivised to catch these scammers. Yeah, it was bad before but the current Boracay is infinitely better than ever.
As someone who's born and raised in the Philippines but has never had the opportunity to set foot on Boracay yet... I'm glad I get to live vicariously through you guys.
Aki holding the umbrella over his very tall head with the big sunglasses after they get off the plane was giving celeb and assistant vibes. LOL. I know it's not like that, but it was amusing.
Funnily enough, Crystal Cove is the name of the town in Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated so there really is a connection between that island and everyone's favourite talking Great Dane.
I'm convinced that there is a direct correlation between Joey's hair becoming anime hair, and the lack of anime he is consuming. Truly he is the anime man
Hi Joey! I saw you two in both airports in Manila (Going to Boracay and going back to Japan). I was happy to see you both while I'm on duty (I was shy to approach you two😅). I hope you really enjoyed your time here in the Philippines ❤❤❤ Try going to Palawan the next time you travel 🧳🧳🧳
@@_kikyu nope. I was on duty and we're not allowed to take pictures with celebrities unless we get permission from them. I saw them coming in the airport went straight ahead to the check in counter. I let them do what they need and respected their privacy too.
So glad you guys liked it! The Coast Boracay is also a great place to stay for the next time you come back cause they have free Cold Brew with the buffet breakfast, as well as ice cream and popcorn every 3-6 pm 😊 And Cafe Maruja as well is an insane restaurant stop!
Can confirm. Its the nicest in Station 2, and they take care of transport 2 and from the airport with their own vans and speedboat. Their boat doesnt even have to queue to dock when it arrives. When you arrive at the hotel, they have staff waiting to serve you the most amazing mint drink, totally refreshes you.
12:45 I was half expecting Joey to say "We do have islands in Australia, but.. you'd have to get through schools of great white sharks first before you set foot on them"
I’m glad you and Aki had a great time. 7:08 Minor note, but those are air cylinders, not oxygen cylinders. Pure oxygen is never used for recreational diving due to oxygen toxicity.
I’m quite surprised that they stayed at a resort that has a homey island vibe at Station 2 instead of the fancier looking ones at Station 1. Great way to experience The Philippines! 😄
AUH! Aki looks soooo pretty in all the holiday cloooothes! And flowers in her hair! And braids! And! And! And! 💞 Also I have never ever been there and I agree that is probably the most beautiful beach in the world I've ever seen, DAYM
@@DA-qn3id does joey saying philippines is shit hurt you inside? maybe you need to reduce your nationalism to normal level, the philippines isn't perfect and obviously people might find it shit but other will find the beauty in it, not everyone will like our country and ytbers and influencers shouldn't be flamed for telling what they feel to our country
Small note, Caticlan is actually a part of the province of Aklan, one of the provinces of Panay island. I know because I live in one of those provinces. Glad you enjoyed this part of the Philippines, hope you'll come back again soon and stay safe!
As someone who practically lives right next to Malay (The municipality Boracay is part of) it's nice to see a foreigners perspective on the island, we Aklanons (What people within the province are called) somewhat take it for granted. I'm not even kidding even within the country, everytime someone mentions going to Boracay to relax, we usually just laugh off how it's pretty much our own backyard with how we can just go there anytime we want, hell going to Boracay is literally faster than going to the nearest city for us, plus we natives usually get discounts for living on the province itself, so when there's a line on the port we usually get to go on a boat faster. Heck even the beaches and other islands outside the main one are great as well. Like the crystal coves and the little points where you can try some cliff diving, anyway it's nice to see you guys have fun in our little island.
See, I'm terrified of going into bodies of water because I can't see what might be swimming around me. This beach is probably one of the few ocean spots I would actually willingly swim around in! Very beautiful! Love watching Joey and Aki get to do a little traveling. I love Japan, but it's neat seeing other places too.
Your vlogs are really good, hope you can make more but as an American you inspire me to explore many Asian countries as I’m a Filipino. Thank you for this, it’s cool to know that the world can sometimes be beautiful
10:19 Pancit Bihon(with some chunky thick cabbages) and Isdang Sinigang! Man tamarind soups gives a healthy sour taste, not just fish on sinigang, it also had pork and shrimp ones and uncommon ones are beef, probably Popeye eat a kangkong because it's a water spinarch, if Daedus and Emirichu came in the Philippines, they must try La Paz Batchoy first and Jollibee...have fun and mabuhay!!!❤❤❤
man I was supposed to go to the Philippines for a vacation, Boracay was one of the spots we were going to visit.. but covid happened, and now me and her are no longer together.. so it kinda hurts but moreso happy you two at least have this experience
Supportive hugs my man. I'm a Filipino and I've always wanted to bring my Korean gf of 7 years to Boracay, sadly we're also no longer together. This vid of Joey and Aki kinda reminded me of our relationship, but I'm happy for Joey and Aki and hope they'll keep being together. It's alright. We can go to travel and have fun solo backpacking or with friends.
Can't wait to see more of Joey's adventures in the Philippines! Glad you liked Boracay, and I hope you get to explore all the wonderful, absurd, spooky, and amazing spots all over the 7,100+ islands!
Fun fact about Joey's Scooby Doo joke with Crystal Cove: Crystal Cove is the name of the town in one of the only Scooby Doo series with actual ghosts, Scooby Doo: Mystery Incorporated
Thank you for taking us to places in the world some of us will never be able to see without this type of vlog. Also all of Aki's outfits were top and she was stunning. 🤩
Man.. This video is just so refreshing and wholesome!! Thank you for vlogging your experience Joey and Aki and letting us visually experience such beauty and peacefulness! Glad you two enjoyed your time there!
@@georgebenta3435 the whole time im watching this vlog i was waiting for someone to complain about foodposioning again hahahah joey died last time they visit before this (the story was from a trash taste episode)
Anyone else want to tell Joey, that the 'spooky scooby doo movie island' actually shares the name crystal cove with one of the main locations that a scooby doo series takes place in?
WOOO!!! It's always nice to see RU-vidr reactions to visiting the Philippines. Boracay's a good choice! It's a classic over-done tourist spot, but at least it's a nice beach and not a stinky, traffic-filled city.
Reasons why people come to boracay for several times: 1. Airport to the island is just near. Convenience. 2. White beach. Front-beach hotel where you can swim(Alona beach has sea urchins. 3. Many options to choose for fastfood, resto, etc. and even at night boracay is still alive. This is for party-goers. 4. Many activities to do including helicopter 🚁 ride.
Hope you can take the time to visit Palawan next! And hopefully spend more than three days there. I swear the experience is god-like. There's a whole bunch of island hopping, hidden lagoons, much bigger batcaves, turtle spotting, the softest white sand, so much more. Really glad you enjoyed this trip :))
ive been to boracay once and seeing this video REALLY makes me wanna paddleboard there again. The water is so nice there and i never had to worry about stubbing my toe in the sand bc there was almost no rocks underwater by the shore compared to the beaches ive been in california. (also Aki's outfits in this vlog were so cute)
Wow Boracay has changed drastically. I remember when there were few European tourists, there practically no hotels but rather huts along the beach to stay in, the sand was soft and white as all-get-out, and the water was totally clear for miles! あの頃に比べて随分変わったマジで。
This is so fucking good. Dream vacation. Love that you went for 3 days too, nice little getaway. That Aquanaut shit looks wild and lowkey scary even though I'm very comfortable with the snorkeling and freediving and even have scuba certification. I'm sure it's awesome. Love how much you love swimming too, I can definitely relate, it's the best. Really glad you had such a great time. Looking forward to seeing more travel vlogs from you! I guess you kiiiind of had to stay close to the boat while swimming, never know what kind of creatures are lurking about in the ocean out that way! It's a beautiful world. Much love! Ki o tsukete.
Actually went there when a storm was near by. They had nice waves that made swimming a bit more fun. Not surfs up big. Just big enough like in those wave machines. And my brother made a fish friend who claimed his armpit as it's home.😂 It was, ironically, one of the more peaceful times we were there.
Boracay is my favorite go to vacation destination. Tep steps forward it's the beach, ten steps back and it's malls, shops, restaurants etc. You can spend a day just walking around the beach and shops.
Gosh i love this vlog. This is probably the best Boracay vlog i've watched from the beginning to end. I'm born and raised in the Philippines but i haven't even gone in there once. It definitely makes me wanna go there someday and explore and swim in the clearest, cleanest beach out there. Thanks for like, bringing us in there even virtually. It's just so nice and awesome. Thanks for letting us see this for free and witnessing your adventures are like the best!
@5:00 Joey's hair is like Ace Ventura hahahah glad you enjoyed Boracay! There are more islands you and Aki need to visit. Unfortunately i wasn't able to meet y'all in CONQuest :(((
My goodness, this makes me so happy to see you guys having a blast there. I miss Boracay so much! My fam has some land there but up in the mountain area for sale, it’s a 10 minute walk down to the beach - near the Batcave beach road, if memory serves correctly. ^_^ Also spent some time doing my culinary OJTs at Shangri-La Boracay years ago. Waking up in paradise everyday…just gorgeous. After long hours in the kitchen, diving in the cool ocean water…omg…best! Boracay is significantly better now though from before, after the whole island closed down and underwent a massive clean-up and overhaul. ❤❤❤ You’re most welcomed back and I hope you have an even better time in the powdery silky smooth beaches of Boracay! 🎉❤
Aw yisss, there are plenty of other beaches here that aren't as popular as Boracay, but there are lots that are pretty unique and great in their own ways with less problems that Boracay has when it comes to being highly visited. Boracay is great tho.
Joey's fashion is ON POINT yet again. That Miku shirt is sick. The Philippines look incredible. There are a lot of beautiful places in the world, and Boracay is definitely one of them. Aquanaut diving scares me, but it's probably because I'm not a confident swimmer, and you basically drop into the abyss. The water looked beautiful though. Gonna have to try more Filipino food, but I can't find it anywhere here in Australia. It's always sad when you have to leave a place you love so much. But hey, here's hoping you go back to the Philippines one day!
@@overbored617 Bicol Express?? I've never heard of that. Let me do a google search... Oh, I was expecting it to be a Filipino food place, but it's actually a dish of it's own! Looks very tasty! I've only really had proper Filipino food once before, because as I said, it's very hard to find it, at least where I am in Australia. I tried Adobo and... I forget the other one, but both of the dishes were yum and I'd definitely get them again. There's a reasonable population of Filipinos in my town, and a few of them had a grocery shop many years ago. Got me into Filipino snacks like boy bawang, clover chips and even the good ol' skyflakes. It's a shame it closed down, they were lovely people and I miss that shop more than ever.
I’m sitting here recovering from jaw surgery and you’re having a good time? How dare you?!!! I’m just messing with you. I’m not that petty (the thing about the jaw surgery is true though. Got it on Wednesday and it sucks). Hope you had a good time Joey!
