@@scarlettmihe definitely is lol. he knows nothing about pop culture and in multiple member streams and bts videos ian had to explain popular memes to him
They really feel like they have a similar vibe (maybe in different stages). That open, spirutal, driven but partially flighty but also loyal. So many emotions, so much creativity. No wonder they click really well
11:06 "that laugh that makes you feel like everything is ok in this world" THAT IS THE PERFECT WAY TO DESCRIBE SHAYNE'S LAUGH 🥺🥺🥺🥺OH MY GOSH THAT'S SO CUTE
Amanda doing an Idiots Present -esque meme presentation was genius. Shoutout to the underrated Smosh videos- they should bring that series back especially now that Amanda /Angela/ Chanse/ Arasha are more established as cast members. They’d be fantastic at the improvised presentations.
Hard agree. Idiots presents is a gold mine. The episode with Ian and Chanse is might be one of my all time favorite smosh anythings Honestly, any time Ian and Chanse are in a video it's great. They play off each other so well.
@@tomcat5151 EXACTLY! That’s also one of my favorite Smosh videos, I don’t know how many times I’ve rewatched it “We are magiciaaaaaaans” and so many other moments from that video are constantly playing in my head, so good
Omg I didn't even see this comment. I mentioned Idiots Present too. I loved that series and I would love it anymore with the magic that is Changela, Amangela, and Shangela... And Courtnela... Okay so what I'm saying is I need Angela on this a lot. To be clear, not because I think she's an idiot, quite the opposite, because I think she's an improv genius and has iconic duo energy with every single cast member and I guarantee there would be so many hilarious moments.
omg this would be hilarious ahahaha.. a beopordy maybe, but it's just an image of a pokemon as the "question".. and they have to say the name of the pokemon or a move the pokemon does.. and the people guessing are just cast members who know nothing about pokemon.. and the categories are just different regions or something that categorizes them in the pokedex lol
i’ve been a huge fan of Amanda since her first smosh sketch introduction, and was begginggg for more of her in videos because of how funny she seemed. i’m SO happy that she’s been getting the recognition she deserves the last two years! very proud of her journey, amazing as always
@@ibpersonrighttt. amanda barely appeared in any pit and games vids until recently. and we got a lot less kimmy when she started working bts, miss her 🥲
Amanda talking about her first video with Smosh, and then saying she made Shayne laugh with an improv, and saying "he laughed that laugh that makes you think everything is okay in this world." was so adorable. Shayne and Amanda doing the podcast together is awesome. They rock the pod, and have clearly also built a really nice friendship through it as well.
Amanda has become so important for smosh! Both for their improv and in general. But you can tell she's so loved by the cast. Plus it's mutual. Especially her and Shaynes friendship has been lovely to see! Amandas personality is such a fresh addition to us online people! (Also, telling Anthony he's got no rizz......)
i'm in a dark place in my life right now similar to what amanda explained. her story made me realize i don't have to be afraid to change careers and find something that i'm more passionate about and don't have to feel behind in life. i'm not sure exactly what i want to do yet but it definitely gave me some relief and more motivation to find my passions again. thank you for sharing your stories Amanda and giving good advice
I love that Amanda realized that her explanation of Rizzler was too close to the actual meme that she had to change it mid-sentence. You could see it in her face. Top notch.
I know people say this all the time but I really love how they all seem to actually be friends. Not just put up with one another. I always felt it, but Shayne's funeral roast really kind of confirmed it for me. Roasting is my family's way of showing love! I know they work hard and are probably tired of one another after the week, but you can tell, everyone there is loved AND liked.
As a millennial who hasn’t kept up with the times, I need someone to explain them all to me … the only ones that I knew better than Amanda are the ones that have been explicitly explained on Smosh.
She's the best! Best energy and attitude. She's not scared to show her "flaws", and use them for comedy. AND, best wink to the camera when saying something cheeky
anthony complimenting amanda’s tntl bits is so sweet! I bet he loves that smosh had gotten to a point where he is watching so many talented people shine under the name he created when he was 14 years old. I love smosh 🥲
amanda is such a huge inspiration for me as an improvisor. the way she just melts into a character is so impressive. i've been so excited for this video.
Amanda is the kind of person you just want to be friends with. She's funny without even trying and just seems so genuine. Really enjoyed this video. Definitely need more Amanda and Anthony videos! They're great together.
Amanda is so fking good at the Fuck It Adjustment. Improv 101, and if I ever had the honour to party with her, I'd be terrified of what she'd think of me. 😅
I love Amanda. She and Angela are my favorite Smosh cast members. I’d absolutely love to see the whole cast be able to come on this show (if they want to of course).
What Anthony said about people holding pain inside their brain is actually incredibly important. A lot of recent studies have discovered that “rumination” on depression/pain is dangerous as it actually amplifies those feelings. This goes against a lot of psychology that was done in the 90s that told people that it’s a good thing to constantly talk about your issues. What this means is - yes you can talk to others about your problems. You can confront and face your demons. But at some point you have to either let go - or start to have your brain focus on other feelings as well. Because if all you do is think about pain, live in pain - you will create a toxic environment where all the negativity is amplified. However this is challenging because it’s in our natural evolution to constantly think about the things that can hurt us. Our bodies are wired to prevent us from experiencing that bad thing again. It’s an inert defense mechanism. But if you want to get better you have to step out of it - or at least find ways to incorporate competing feelings. This is why social media has become so damaging. A lot of people openly “live their psychological conditions”. You see these accounts where all they do is talk about their pain and depression. They then find other people online who are doing the same thing. Which leads to a group of people all amplifying these negative emotions to insane levels. Basically try to focus on positive things. Whether that’s focusing on a hobby you are passionate about. Or try to work with a therapist on letting go of that thing that bothering you. This is why most therapist will have an anxiety patient slowly step out of their comfort zone. They will give them a goal of talking to 3 random people a week. Walking into a store and ordering coffee. By doing these things you are slowly letting go of your anxiety. Now to be clear you can’t just let go of depression/pain. Some people do need meds/heavy therapy. And when I say “let go” it’s more about finding strategies to loosen its grip on your mind. But it’s a lot of work and isn’t something as simple as snapping your fingers
Wait I’m 7 minutes in and I’m so inspired. Amanda is genuinely one of my favorite people I’ve ever seen on the internet. I’m nearing my 30s, I’ve been online for a hot minute. I have been diving into my dreams to create a career out of it. It’s been hard. I’m not very far yet. But to hear her say she performed for crowds that didn’t laugh once… and here she is now, I’m tearing up.
So many sweet mentions of him and telling lore he has explained to her. Their friendship is so sweet. Such opposites but also both so curious and interested in humanity
This is my favorite interview thus far. 🎉 Amanda is one of my favorite cast members, persons, and my inspiration to achieve the dreams I'm too scared to achieve. I love you (respectfully), Amanda 💕
My first smosh video I watched had Amanda in it and I remember so vividly her energy and how she made me laugh. But more importantly, she made feel safe and secure which was something I really needed at that time. I became a smosh fan after that and got to learn about casts and crews. I'm so grateful you do this. You can truly see people shine when they embrace their gifts and put their heart into it. ❤
I relate so much to Amanda - that feeling of not doing what you know you need to be doing makes life so difficult. The artist will always fight it's way to the surface, and she's been a huge inspiration for me as someone who also enjoys telling stories. Incredible interview.
AHAHA this popped up on my tv and i only saw Anthony and just said out loud “I spent the day with Amanda Lehan-Canto” and SCREAMED when i scrolled and saw I was spot on
I really wanna see a conversation between Amanda and Brennan Lee Mulligan, who was an improv teacher & is one of the most thoughtful people on the internet
