Tell me why Anthony is more respectful than half of the interviewers that interview BTS

Damn, Anthony is a better-informed interviewer than 95% of interviewers in the entertainment industry right now.

I so agree with Meg (the grey haired girl) and her comment about how male-dominated fandoms like sports are more socially accepted and even promoted by the media, whereas these female dominated fandoms are kept aside as "crazy and rabid", further instituting the fact of women's interest being inconsequential

Honestly twitter in general is toxic af it´s not just the k-pop fans. I left twitter a while ago and it helped with my mental health. Btw i turned my dad into a BTS fan when i played ,,spring day" without telling him it´s BTS and he LOVED it lmao. He was so racist before but know he turned into such a different human being it´s crazy what BTS can do.

the only interviewer i would want to interview bts is anthony. he starts off so unbiased and does his research and i love that.

This conversation would've never happened if they were an English speaking band. But it's just so baffeling for westerners to imagine the fact that there are people loving a band made out of seven asian guys singing in Korean . It's crazy to me as an Asian living in a world where it's norm to listen to English speaking artists even if we don't speak English but it's such a big deal to you guys when it's vise versa.

I feel like some people also need to realize that the fandom isn't only girls (for example me) and a lot of armys arent interested in them romantically or something, they just enjoy the music and look up to bts in a friend way.

When armys say that's bts has helped them through many difficulties, people would probably say that they are being dramatic but seriously unless u have been there u will never know how much these 7 boys help us, even when I myself, voice it out it seems too dramatic to me sometimes, but u can never deny the truth. It's that's everyone will tell u to "do good" "be better" "love yourself". But it does not hit us how it should and idk what kinda technique these boys use but the way they show it, makes me wanna be a better person, makes me wanna love myself accept myself as who I am. And that is why I am so so very thankful towards them.

"you came across BTS when you needed them the most" -- never forgot that statement. my family and I had gone thru a tragedy at the beginning of 2017 and after a couple months had passed by, I didn't really have a sense or motivation for anything, I felt empty and was at an all time loneliness level. I am very grateful for BTS and their positive messages, I know it sounds very cheesy but idk what my life would be w/out them, can't even imagine it. I've been an ARMY for 3 years now and although I wasn't there from the beginning, I will most definitely be there til the end. I PURPLE YOU.

Worst misconception about being a fan of bts is people automatically thinking its a fetish thing.

I think for me personally, the reason why I love bts is these boys do not ask us for anything. Their music is ofcourse a souce of comfort for us however it is also the kind of people they are at heart. How they care for each other. They have achieved so much after starting from scratch, received so much hate and racism for no reason at all but they still emerge as men with good hearts. They have high emotional quotient and they break down unknown emotions and we're comforted knowing someone out there understands us. They're funny, respectful, talented gentleman who accept that they aren't perfect but continue to love themselves and teach us to do that too. They understand that all of us are different from each other and might not face the same things as they do. I never learned my self worth before them. 'loving myself' was something I never thought I could achieve. They want us to give ourselves the love that we have given them. I've never heard of any artist who has so much dedication and bond with their fans. They're protective of us as we are of them and even though there are toxic fans out there as well, they never generalize it for us. If you ever get the opportunity to look at their interactions with ARMY during concerts or in general please do. There is no shame in showing off what you love. Only those who can never love as passionately as us would spread hate because they're simply envious. We are realistic because we know one day they will continue on with their lives and ARMY will be with them to share those happy memories as well. We're part of a beautiful history in making. i would honestly LOVE for the boys to be interviewed by anthony. i don't think non-fans realise just how wonderful their thoughts and mindset are because the interviews they might watch tend to be so shallow, repetitive and boring. maybe if people watched them being asked proper, deep questions then they'd understand why we love them so much

Not all ARMY love the guys romantically or sexually, you can adore them platonically. I just respect them so much as artists and their personalities. Love Yourself!

The bts army is known to be “toxic” but when you are actually apart of the army and look deeper in the community the army is one of the nicest and caring fan groups ever.

Ok, I'm a 59 year grandma and my husband and I are both Army. My bias is Jin (wrecker is V) and my husband loves RM and Suga. We love their message, their music (a genre unto itself!) and their humor. In all my days on earth, I have never seen a group with the kind of positive message and positive impact like BTS! Borahae BTS and Army!

While there are obviously more girls in ARMY, but as a guy myself that has talked with a few kpop fans, they're incredibly welcoming. BTS have been one of the largest motivations to push myself further. Seeing their practice videos, harsh schedules and such motivates me to take just a few steps more. They were also the ones that introduced me to a wider enjoyment of music in general, starting off I despised music in general because of how much they all sounded the same, due to people copying each other in the pop industry all the time.

Im a 30+ mom. my daughter is a huge BTS fan. So I do watch a lot of BTS with her. I like knowing what she likes and understand. The thing that I noticed about BTS is how respectful they are. They are supportive to eachother and their fans. I dont like their music, I prefer harder stuff. but I do enjoy the bts videos my daughter shows me.

The fact that Anthony interviews people without intervening with his opinions and let them say what they want to say without judging them makes me really happy because not a lot of people have this level of respect.

I found bout BTS when I was the lowest in my life.and through music n videos I was able to cope. For bout a year I didn't cry or felt anything n I was afraid if I'll be that same girl again but thanks to BTS I'm feeling so much better now 💜💜💜

Literally BTS and Kpop brought my life so much happiness. Not in a toxic way, but just like a fever dream that helped me go through the harsh reality. It's not just screaming in awe or fangirling on Twitter, it's a whole part of ones life that makes the rest easier and brighter.💜

Honestly a really fun part of being apart of a k-pop fan group is that when you meet each other at school, etc, you really bond over it, and can it can create great friendships

Not an Army, but I just wanted to also talk about the hypocrisy between female oriented interests and male oriented. A hockey team lost a tournament in the town that I live in and THE FANS THREW A RIOT. AN ACUTAL RIOT. Yet BTS fans are seen as problematic and not sports fans???

i think the only reason people see kpop stans as toxic is because as a kpop stan im sick of hearing the same comments from locals like "they looks the same" and "are they gay/they look gay" etc. it's annoying and people need to be more open minded. us as kpop stans just get annoyed and can lash out

"Female connotated interests" blew me away. Admittedly I've always been a little judge-y towards BTS fans, but damn! Compared to hardcore sports fans it's on the same level! Why is a Steelers couple who dresses with branded beanies and has sport memorabilia in their house and dresses their baby in that team onsie and never misses a game, more acceptable and okay than a BTS fan who loves their songs and wears their merch and goes to concerts? Neither is below the other. Interests are interests as long as no one is hurt. Who am I to judge? Thanks for the perspective, Anthony.

Adding on to one of their points: I feel like a big part of the negative stigma around fans is the idea that we all kind of just sit around giggling and fangirling all day over the artists. There are parents, singers, nurses, hard working college students, etc. that are fans of BTS and I wish more people understood that you can look at an artist and use them for inspiration to push yourself to be even more successful, as opposed to just living vicariously through them.

I grew up with BTS' music, back in 2014 when I was just 11 years old. It was their music and lyrics composition as well as the message they bring. They really brought their passion for music into a comforting and soothing music for a stressful and depressing life Im in.

I really enjoyed this interview. I have been ARMY for 2 years now. I am very grateful that these guys exist. Their music is very motivating and comforting. BTS is a great group. I often encounter misunderstandings from some people, but this does not bother me. ARMY is a wonderful and friendly fandom and I am delighted to be a part of this community.

Thank you so much for this because a lot of people get the wrong idea about the Army or just kpop fans in general, its hard as a foreigner not being judged or called obsessive, people assuming that you only like them for there looks or your own pleasures is something Army absolutely doesn't do.

It's incredibly interesting how a male-dominated interest such as sports is considered a real and mature thing to like, while female-dominated interests such as a band which spreads a positive message is often considered childish, fake, and an embarrassing thing to like. There are plenty of sports fans who behave just as, if not more, wildly than the most dedicated ARMY. It's even widely acceptable to wear shirts, hats, socks, backpacks, even freaking underwear branded with your favorite team or player's number. When will we begin to respect the interests and opinions of women as just as valid as that of men? Stop ridiculing women, especially teen girls for their genuine interests in something overwhelmingly positive smh
