Absolutely agree. I usually skip videos about "non-ASMR people trying ASMR" because usually _somewhere_ along the way there's a complete misunderstanding of what ASMR is or what it's "supposed" to be. This was definitely one of the most tasteful and informative videos on the subject. I am very happy.

It's like, he presents the questions that a lot of people ignorant to a topic might have, but actually listens and puts effort into understanding the reality of the situation, instead of just keeping precoceptions. Of course it's in the ocntext of an interview, so that kind of thing is supposed ot be the correct way to interview, but I think it's also a good mentality to have in real life. Like, a lot of times akward moments or bad asssumptions can come from ignorance, so a person being informedalready is a good thing. But there's also something nice about a person who is ignorant on a topic being willing to reserve judgement anyway, and properly inform themselves, instead of judging things as they appear. Misinformation is a bad thing, but it's effects are less severe when the person keeps an open mind.

The thing that relaxes me with ASMR and how I first experienced it before I knew what it was, is just someone being very deliberate, and explaining things very slowly, so if someone was explaining how to do a math problem to me, and taking their time and talking slow, it would make me feel so weird but good, now that feeling has faded for me but I use it to fall asleep and it WORKS

When I was in really demanding studies, if i didn't have ASMR i just couldn't sleep. With relaxation i couldn't focus on my breathing or anything because my brain would wander on lessons. ASMR, especially roleplays, they talk (well whisper lmao) to you like a normal conversation so my brain accepted to focus on what they would say and let go of the rest and just fall asleep. Can't be thankful enough to Gibi for that (and her daisy storyline being hilarious)

A lot of people make fun of ASMR without realizing that it actually really helps with relaxing... I often get severe panic attacks at night, and there’s lots of ASMR specifically made for these situations and without these videos I would be screwed... ASMR isn’t anything sexual, and even if it sometimes is, it’s not weird, it’s therapeutic

Amouranth is a great example, She's pretty much a stripper.) have brought lots of negative attention and their community of horny and desperate dudes into a medium (ASMR) that i genuinely enjoy for the purpose of relaxation. Especially when it's so clearly for the purpose of promoting a twitch channel/paytreon and farming donations.

I got introduced to asmr when i was like 6. I really liked someone drawing something, no matter was it good or bad drawing. I discovered ASMR while searching RU-vid for videos with sleep sounds, like the audio of a windy, rainy night or waves washing up on a beach. It took me about 30 seconds to understand the concept of what these ASMRtists were doing, and I liked it right away. This was about December of 2020, so I'm a latecomer to ASMR. I do not get tingles, so a lot of the triggers that are supposed to induce tingles don't do it for me. I like and appreciate the same sounds and visuals that I like in real life like a soft whisper that sounds relaxing, hypnotic hand movements, hair brushing sounds and visuals, soft and swooshy fabric sounds, etc. The production of the ASMR video does not have to be elaborate or complicated with fancy settings or costumes, although those are not bad things. Some of my favorite videos are as simple and easy as can be.
