This is the truth about metal detecting. Some times you find nothing at all. It’s all about being out in the fresh air and maybe finding something while you’re out. You’re so fortunate to have the peaks on your doorstep. I’m about an hour or so away. It’s a treat getting out hiking up there 🥲appreciate every day 🥰

Being a detectorist myself, we all have those slow days for finds. But just as you stated, being outside can & should bring a smile to your face. Just look at those wavy clouds to the left of the sun at the 5:42 mark. I picked up on that right away and said to myself, what a beautiful sight.
I just re-watched that moment and you were right, there was some very interesting wavey clouds going on next to the sun. It is a stunning place to spend time and a stunning place to make a RU-vid film, but man you have to work hard for the finds :) Thanks for watching. G

Gareth, that is a great looking permission. I’m sure there are more finds out there. If detecting was easy everyone would do it. I have a collection of coins with holes in them. For some reason people put holes in some coins more than others. A good patina on a coin can make all of the difference. Thanks for taking us along on your hunt… John

Haha 3 or 4 hours in and I had to show for my efforts was that rabbit badge, hence why I was fuming! Managed to salvage the day with a few more finds! Amazing place to spend a day though

Hi mate, I always arrive at this place knowing its going to be really tough to make finds, even more so when the ground is frozen solid. Henry and I had an amazing session on here a few months back. But as you say, its all about the scenery here, the countryside and that is largely what my channel is about. Any finds are just a bonus !!

I found about £11, a horse harness ring and a slab of lead.. that's it. Not a single pre decimal. I came home to go and visit my dad. Look forward to your next episode 😀

Hi mate, this permission has always been quiet, but it is one of my most scenic an done of my favourite places to spend a day and make a RU-vid film. Strangely, it is almost one of my most historic with its Roman road cutting straight through and surrounding burial grounds... But it is what it is and my viewers will only ever see real finds and real metal detecting. Always have, always will

Might be worth trying Gold Field or Relic, but I don't believe Sensi FT misses anything, you just have to listen a bit more carefully for the deep faint and iffy signals. Hi Andy, if I was a full time detectorist, I would happily meet up with people, be more social and detect with other people. I work full time, have a family and house to look after, so get little time for this hobby anymore. The only time I get I devote solely to my channel and trying to create these videos. This is why I prefer detecting alone, as I make better videos :)
