Dear Ify. You really did well. You truly deserve an award. Thanks for proving this point. This also points to one thing. Only thr rich and the average can survive truly in this economy. N5,000 A DAY X 30 DAYS 😢 THAT IS A WHOPPING N150,000 in this economy where people are collecting as small as N25k monthly😢. So pls everyone of us watching this video, if you can afford to feed a family with N5k a day, please be grateful and always remember and help those who can't even afford N1.5k to feed a family of 4 per day. This is beautiful to watch. I was curious after how much you spent on breakfast. What would I have done better?😅 BREAKFAST - I'll go for akara and pap Beans - 700 (I'll use of it for moimoi for dinner as you did) Pepper and onions - 400 (I'll use out of it for lunch/dinner) Ground nut oil 1/2 - 600 (fry for akara and use for moimoi) it will boost the taste. Pap - 300 (good enough for 4) Total #2000 LUNCH - Potatoes and Vegg sauce Potatoes - #500 Vegetables (green or Efo) - #200 Shawa Fish or Panla fish - #500 Pepper from breakfast Oil 1/4😂 - 300 Total - #1500 DINNER - Moimoi and pap/custard/oat/garri Beans from breakfast Pepper from breakfast 4 eggs - 600 Pap/Oat/Custard/Garri - 500 Total - #1100 Change #300 can go for miscellaneous 😊

This was so lovely to watch. We hear people often say things like, "N5,000 or even N10,000 is insufficient to make a meal, let alone feed a small family for a day. Statements like that make us appreciate this video greatly. Many people talk about making money, however, not a lot of people talk about how to effectively manage money. This video right here shows good money management - an essential skill everyone should have especially at these times. Thank you so much for sharing this, Ify. Concerning the comments on leafy vegetables and their current cost 🤔 do you know that you could grow yours and save yourself a lot of trouble and cost? If you have enough space in your yard for a vegetable garden, then that is fine. If not, you could plant in cut 25ltrs cans filled with soil placed in strategic places around you. You'd be amazed at how easy it is and how much you'd save by this technique. You'll even have enough to share. All it takes is various vegetable seeds and some resolve.

This is really helpful to those that have the 5k for a day. That's money for a week down here. But i'll try that dinner, it'll serve 2 meals for our family of 3. For Breakfast for a family of 3 would be Pap 200, Akara 300, cowbell milk (to be added to baby's portion) 80, Sugar (for 2 adults) 50= 630.

This challenge is too easy for ifys kitchen now For breakfast: Oatmeal with fruits, milk etc Or Bread, boiled eggs and tea. For lunch; Eba and oiless okro soup. For dinner; White rice and pepper soup Or Yam/potato pepper soup . Hope I try small 😅

I can do it over and over. My dad(Rip) taught me so well. Not boasting now my dad used to make a whole new and fresh dish out of our leftover meals... 😂 My hubby knows I'm the best home manager and he has so much trust in me to always bring out something out of nothing in my kitchen. 👌🏽

This is amazing. Thanks Ify for your ingenuity and humility. However, 5k is multiplied by 30 days is 150k. That is not inclusive of laundry supplies, diapers and wipes for family with babies/toddlers, snacks for kids, school fees, rent, recharge cards etc that is spent on an average Nigerian home. Most average Nigerian family dont earn more than 100k per spouse. That is 200k per month. So many homes dont even have the luxury of spending 5k a day. I know it would be difficult but not impossible with you 😂😂 to try with 3k. Or just make a suggestion or throw in a word for family's surviving with less😢.

You have done very well my Chief Chef. They got the basic nutrients - although you didn't calculate the gas money. With #50 out of the #80, you could have bought half a bundle of vegetables and added it so that at least they would get vitamins that day. You really are a home maker. Breakfast Oat and Akara #600 oat #sugar 200 # milk 500 # two cups of beans 300 #Groundnut oil half bottle 500 #Onions 200 Fresh pepper 200 #total 2500 2. Lunch Potatoes and pepper sauce. Potatoes 500 I already bought onions and peppers and oil from the Akara frying. Total 500 3. Dinner Jellof Rice and fish Rice 3 cups #600 Sachet tomatoes #200 Crayfish #200 Dry fish 500 Maggi 100 Carrot 100 Total 1700 Thank God my Akara oil is still remaining 😂

Amazing Ify everytime people say you can afford a meal with 5,000/10,000 i just laugh because i know they just showing off you can do alot everyone can get clues from here and adjust to your family in my case would make eba and okra soup with fish or beaf using money for beans&sugar(1000) i stay in the North and can buy your ingredients at even cheaper rate😊 can get thet sweetpotatoes for less. I loved this, I would have added some veggies to some of the dishes and proteins.

Nne my dear, i didn't see this been possible but you shocked me. Not only was the 3 square meals enough for a family of 4, it was also a well balance diet also.😮 I truly love and appreciate you and your choice of healthy meals.
