@@missmistyeyedd He means not many customers OR he didnt film while in rush hours. Being a cook in a restoraunt/fast food is exausting and nothing like this
What was so impressive about this 2 hour video was how chef showed his ability to multitask calmly the entire time while not at 100%. I've worked with many behind a grill and or a flattop, and the minute they have to do more than make an omelette or grill a burger...panic sets in. Chef T can do 3-4 things at the same time and still hum a tune.
@@jamesdiamond5725 why do the napkins matter. He has to wash his hands he works in a kitchen, too much grease ruins the food, especially using that type of grill it’s best to wipe off some of the oil
I love how he keeps everything spotlessly clean, even washes his hands every few minutes. This is the mark of a true proefessional. I would eat out of his kitchen any day.
for sure. but damn does it get under my skin to see him squirt a pump of soap on his hands and then just _barely_ run water over it. Ain't no way he's getting all that soap off with that 1-2 second rinse lmao. I mean, I just can't stop rinsing my hands until I know every single tiny bit of soap is off my hands lol it would drive me crazy to do it like he does
@@STSGuitar16 I think that better than nothing. Hes making up for the lack of wearing annoying gloves with frequent washing and usually the soap pump is really not so much soap. I have to pump 4 or 5 times to get a good lather personally.
@@tobiaspowell1848 yeah man I’m not complaining about the hygiene situation here (the guy obviously keeps everything pretty clean), just talking about how it would drive me insane to barely rinse my hands like that after putting soap on them like he does lmao. But you do actually introduce a bit of a predicament here regarding the effectiveness of a correct hand washing ritual. If it takes four or five good pumps to get a proper, germ-killing lather, and then at least 15 seconds to rinse it all off, are his tiny wash-ups even doing anything to begin with? What good does a four-second rinse with a tiny little bit of soap do? Again, I’m not worried about his cleanliness in the kitchen, but is the whole partial hand-washing system just a charade? Methinks that could very well be the case. We could have a case of a social-performative hand-washing syndrome on our hands. You’re familiar with this phenomenon, Tobias, if you’ve ever gone to the public bathroom and only washed your hands because someone else is in there and sees you, triggering the social norm demand of performing a hand-washing ritual in order to keep up appearance. You’ll recall that those societally-pressured washing rituals tend to be pretty half-hearted, just as we see here with his hand-washing ritual. At this point, all signs are pointing to this being a legitimate case of social-performative hand-washing syndrome. Just some food for thought.
This is actually so refreshing. Cooking breakfast for normal people, workers judging by uniform, listening to some chit-chat in the process. I like it. Simple and clean.
I have really bad insomnia and since I’ve found his channel I’ve been sleeping more than ever. Even hit 7,5 hours yesterday and I haven’t been able to do that for years!!!
Mr T, The reason your butane torch isn’t working properly is because you are holding it horizontally. Those are made to be used vertically; butane is a gas and it needs to be above the liquid so it may escape. Turing it sideways whilst shaking will cause the liquid to clog the cracking point, yielding its cease fire. It works at the start because you have not used it and the liquid has settled. However, they make hose extensions so that you can attach to a mini tank and you can move the flame freely! Hope you see this and it helps!
@@kerahouse8663 you are not a quality professional. Wearing gloves is a sign of the unclean and menial class of people who worked as a frycook for a chain or fast food. Most experienced cooks will not wear gloves as they are the fastest way to spread contaminants.
About 20 minutes into the video I went down to the kitchen and cooked 4 pieces of bacon, 4 eggs and toasted 2 pieces of sourdough and left the video going while I worked in synch with MrT. Then I made a couple ham sandwiches for my son and myself for lunch. As I sat at the table waiting for him and eating my breakfast I felt like I was done with my shift at the restaurant. Unfortunately, I now have to go work 8 hours on an excavator in 0 degree weather. 🥶. I'll catch the rest of this video when I get home and plan dinner.
Never worked in a Kitchen before, but the ease and flow of your shift is soothing. I work in technology and when people freak out they make mistakes. Half way in and looking forward to the rest of the shift. Customers seem pleasant.
I have severe insomnia and since I’ve found your videos, i put it on and I fall asleep so quick. Thank you from the bottom of my heart. I had about 7,5 hours of sleep last night. Haven’t had that in YEARS❤❤❤❤❤
i've been watching these videos for awhile now, they are very relaxing and keep me calm - very zen, like a meditation, although sometimes i realize that i'm staring at a video screen intently and suddenly it's 2am - quite mesmerizing
Yes! He probably makes a fraction of what some of the..."people(?)" -- who waste so much of the food that he gently comments on -- make! He's worth his weight in gold! (or cheddar cheese at least) This is a very hard job (for those who've never done it)
I have extreme anxiety and this video really helped A LOT! I love videos like this. It's very calming and my vitals went back to normal. Fantastic job cooking!
I just found your page through recommendation, you make things so easily especially those poached eggs those look delicious! I also love the fact that all your customers are polite and those little conversations you have with them gives me warmth. I appreciate your hard work, I can't wait to see more of your videos in the future!
I just watched someone for 2 hours cooking. Found it relaxing. Whats with all the small orders. I'd be wanting all, toast, fried egg, beans, tomatoes, bacon mushroom etc. Where's the appetites
I wish in the US, we still had employee kitchens like this. All the major companies where I am converted to poor quality vending machines. Fresh cooked solid food is always the better option, but the companies are worried about costs
Your food looks absolutely wonderful and you have such a fun personality while keeping a high level of professionalism! 🧑🍳 My hat off to you chef and Godbless you and your family 🙏❤
OMG lool at how beautiful that shiny griddle is! And how immaculately clean everything is! Well done sir! Your hard work & effort is so much appreciated!
I'm just shocked at the prices, so good! I use to go to my local harvester for breakfast, and they offered an "all you can eat" cooked meal. (you can order more) It was £9.99, or £11.99 if you wanted tea/coffee. Looking at the prices here, I could get my name breakfast (the £9.99 harvester one, I don't have tea or coffee) for around £3-£4. Amazing prices. Seriously, absolutely amazing. Edit: The worst part is that it is no longer an "all you can eat", it's a set meal at £9.99 3 hash browns 3 sausage (usually burnt though) 3 bacon (usually incredibly fatty) very small portion of beans (can finish in 2-3 small spoon fulls) 2 slices of white or brown toast (half is toasted other half is not) 1 black pudding 2 massive tomatoes (no one eats because they're burnt) 2 massive mushrooms (no one eats because they're fried for some reason) Worst part is the 30-40 minute wait. Love seeing places like this where it's cheap, quick, and you can actually talk to the server.
Not only is this relaxing, listening and watching while i work in the morning, it shows off your professional skills and i like to think that the company allows you to film because they can use it for promotion and for training new/old staff. subscribed. cheers mate!
Yooo dude, this channel you've made is going to explode in popularity and you will be very successful. Well done. Great IRL content from a 1st person perspective which hasn't been done in such a way before. I can already see this becoming very popular and everyone will copy you. Please keep it up and become the number 1!
and doing it right...angled so that no other faces are in the shot, can see all the food perfectly...we need him to have someone take a pic...i want to see what he looks like with that go pro on his toque! I just LOVE it!
Love how this cheffy knocks one egg off the other to crack it. Thanks for the tip. Will definitely do this in future! Plus he’s super calm and collected during what looks like a busy morning 👏
This is so relaxing I could watch this for days. My only suggestion is the grill should be first in the order line that way people won’t worry about their other food getting cold, while waiting to order from the grill. Watching this guy brings back so many memories. 💕
Nothing is as soothing as a chilly industrial kitchen in the morning. So clean and refreshing. Just the sound of industrial freezers and refrigirators alongside the ventilation.
For a staff canteen you do beautiful work my friend. Top notch service, you sanitation is outstanding. I love picking up on how Britts order breakfast. So many options. I need that SS griddle in my kitchen!
Now this is a well run kitchen! What an impressive show of professionalism! Chef, you truly did an amazing job! I would eat here any day! The food looks fresh and delicious! The chef is an expert at cleanliness! I loved it!❤🍽💥
Awesome job chief all your customers are leaving happy you also make them smile when you ask them may I help you you're an awesome chef you have an awesome kitchen staff keep it up I'm loving your videos
a blowtorch is a genius way to get rid of a snotty white. Also, I started watching these in February with snow, and now its cold weather season again and im watching this and feeling the passage of time. Damn
Awesome job chef you made all the customers happy in 2 hours you went through a lot of eggs a lot of sausage you still busy on your feet you have a a good kitchen staff works with you I hope you feel better
i’ve worked in food industry upwards 4 years now. Mind you i’m a college student but had my fair share of experiences. This guy is someone who i could work for. Calm, collected, get shit done.
Hey chef thanks for the inspiration and for sharing this content. I have kind of copied your style in what a breakfast should look like. Too bad I can’t send you pics of some of the ones I’ve done at home thanks to your videos! Keep it up!
