@@adrianchipres8114 Hi Adrian... I bought my Bobcat for around 50% more than mrp as I wasn't waiting 12-20 weeks or more for a machine... I drove two hours to collect it, got home plugged it in, set up the app and wallet in a few mins and that was that.... One thing though, it did take a couple of days to synch with the block chain so you have to be patient... Good luck mate 👍👍

I switched from a RAK 5.8 to RAK 8dB antenna at my home in AZ, and I seem to get more witnessing/higher rewards with the 8dB.. That's potentially because I'm reaching beacons with better transmission scaling closer to 1.0.. I'm in a very congested area, where most miners are producing .43 witness reward scaling if they're not in a contested hex.

I’m thinking of buying the bobcat miner. The question I have is if adding an additional antenna will help. I live at about 2000 ft above sea level and have small mountain behind us and valley to our south that drops down to around 1200 ft. Thought’s!

I just purchased two bobcat miners. This is the second time in a week i did this. Unfortunately the first two I paid for were on the fake bobcat site. I am disappointed I didn’t catch it sooner. i have had a freedomfi for weeks now. Trying to sell it on ebay because until you can buy the 5G antennas ($1500-$3000) it earns no more than a regular hotspot. The 5G antennas are not available yet.

Your explanation of antenna gain is a bit off. The beamwidth narrowing vs gain more applies to yagi /directional antennas not omnidirectional.

Im having terrible experience trying to purchase a helium miner, first attempt was with rak v2 from calchip that turned out to be a bust after waiting 8 months and having to get a refund. Second and Third attempts have been with MNTD and their drops were both taken over by bots which blocked out customers like myself then their units popped up immediately on ebay for almost $1500 just disgusting. I would buy a bobcat but just seems sketchy to pay with crypto, what happens if you never get the unit your crypto is gone with no chance of ever getting it back. How does someone like me get a hold of a helium miner from the US that is in stock ready to ship and no BS?

Never gonna happen Sending crypto as payment to a company like bobcat isn't sketchy. Waiting sucks and 5 months is forever. Paying double on eBay sounds like a rip but its not the money you make in five months should cancel or even put you ahead. Honestly I would tell you to do both. $1500 order one from bobcat thats about 560. Take the rest buy one from a scalper in ebay. Earn with one while you wait for the other. Plan for that 2nd spot.

Should have never ordered my HNT miner from nebra I should have went with rack or minted. Ordered it in April of 21 still haven't received it as of today.
