Subscribed! Please respond if you have time.. there is one thing im confused about... is it more beneficial to have per say 3 miners of your own separated apart in an area, as opposed to setting up 1 with an existing 2 already there? basically im asking are there any reward systems that encourage having more in your own network as opposed to linking it with others in busy areas? Anything will help
@@jimmyispromo I just have to be a little bit less anti-social I suppose. My wife has friends in the neighborhood, but she glares at me when I suggest she pitch a hotspot to them.
If they own pets, that's the in. Dog tracking collars are important to owners. These hot spots can help send location of where they run off to if near you
Helium (HNT) is absolutely the most environmentally friendly form of mining! Helium miner uses about the same power as a low power LED light bulb! It uses a Proof of Coverage model, NOT Proof of Work.
just purchased 2 miners and used your code, thanks bro from Sacramento. I looked at our grid for hotspots, the guy in the neighborhood over made 105 helium last month! hell nah i want in on that action.
Thinking about buying 3 and having my friends buy it too. Would be awesome if we were all making money off each other’s and we live within 5 miles from each other
If you don't have a wifi provider you are going to want a sim card that you have in your phone that is active so it can use data like a phone and then install them were you get a phone signal
In Mar 2021 when this was made, there were maybe 15k miners. Today, 31 July, there are over 100k miners. The first "halving" happens tomorrow. So that's 7x the number of eaters, and a pie half-sized. Do you suppose your mined "earnings" will therefore increase or decrease?
earnings increase and decrease. Individualized earning are worth more (more demand, less availability) and worth less (you get less pie for the same effort) but in general less pie for the effort but the pie you get is worth more trends to be more valuable but crypto values are always fluctuating and that has the biggest effect as you typically need to either find a store that accepts the crypto or you have to convert it and that is where its actual intrinsic value will be.
its best to spread them atleast 350 meters. if in the same house, IT HAS TO BE ON DIFFERENT NETWORK to even work or beneficial. but now with new HIPs helium adds, it notices if you have it marked at a different location.
I live in a small town in Hungary. No miners in my 65 miles area. I'm planning to buy two miners, put one to my grandmother's house (like 400m from my home) and another one at my home's roof. Can I earn HNT with these two, if probably no company or anyone uses an IoT system near me? I mean no one uses the system for real purposes near me.
@@davidayer2168 if it takes too long to make back the initial investment it won't be worth it... the price of HNT could drop or there could be too many miners
If you order now, it'll come in at a good time. Also price will go up as their network keeps expanding and especially after halving. Halves every 2 years. If you're familiar with bitcoin, then you know what happens with them every 4 years. If you regret not getting into bitcoin years ago, you'll regret HNT as it will grow past $25, then past $50 and easily be at and above $100 coin
Bobcat: $429 + $43.36 tax + $46 shipping + $20 Coinbase fee for buying USDC +$50 setup fees = $588.36 and no security. If they decide not to deliver, there is zero legal recourse since cryptocurrency is not supported by the government. At least if you pay with USD, you have some legal recourse. I went instead with the SynchroBit, it cost me about $50 more overall, but can be purchased with credit card, is $9 shipping, and they pay the Helium setup fees.
Yeah, that’s the issue I’m having right now, too. What if they don’t ship on time and I want my money back? I want USD, not USDC. And Coinbase fees are insane. Thanks for posting abut SyncroBit, I’ll go with them instead.
How did you sell it to your neighbors. I want to buy a couple and got to a couple of businesses to host one somewhere out of the way and provide them with a % for doing it.
should i use another account for different locations on app? Or i can connect as many as i want in just 1 account? If yes does the wallet address appears on all locations?
Hi! I have a question! If I have a Rak v2 and I want to add another one, the second if I put it up to my neighbor in the yard does it require the neighbor's power and wireless? Or does he just need power??? Thanks
Will they work if plugged in non stop? Was thinking getting mobile hotspot devices for like $10 each and add them to my cell plan and hook them up at everyone’s house I know or give friends and family 10% profits every month. Which ever they want or works better for us all. Or will being plugged in all the tike fry them? Thank u for info and advice. Stay safe everyone and good luck with this.
Jimmy - Is most of this information still true as of 2/17/24? Do the new Helium indoor hotspots operate the same as the ones you are showing in this video?
Hi Jimmy, great vids. Thank you for your content. For a newbie like myself, can you please make a vid showing the step by step process to monetize or move the Helium coins to a wallet; and then how to convert coins to cash. Some of us need this to pay bills during this uncertain time and it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I don't get how someone is "going to put a hotspot right around here". Are you going to buy somebody's house? Maybe sneak into their attic and install a Helium miner?
Thanks for this video!! I'm a noob, one question on Helium. If the network is using my personal internet and in essence retransmitting it, does that mean the IOT device data is being sent/received through my network? If so, does this introduce security concerns from malicious actors entering my personal network? Thanks again, keep the videos coming.
I plan to put it into it's own VLAN because yeah that IOT traffic will be going over your internet connection. In theory if someone were able to hack the miners, if it's on your home network someone could get access to whatever is on your home net. So yep firewalls / VLANs etc.
Going from 35,000 to 330,000 miners by the end of summer would take down a 1000 a month miner to 100 a month. This is a ROUGH estimate but the finite amount of HNT that is mineable per month is going to be divided down to all the miners. Am I missing something? The halving would have to 10X the price of HNT to keep profits the same as they are now. Please correct my math if I am wrong. I am seeing more miners to cover the network is a big reduction in profits. Don't forget the consensus groups are going away as well. I put my order for 5 miners on hold for now. I think that around October the profits as we know them now are going to tank because of the flood of new miners. What do you think? Leave a reply!
So I bought 3. One in my house. One in my ware house 1.5 miles away. And my boys house about 3 miles away. Should be good right? 1 Rak and 2 Nebras. Thanks for the video mate. Very informative!
Hi Jimmy, Thanks for sharing this. I am planning to start HNT mining, I am from Sydney Australia and can't see any HNT hotspot nearby. How much would I be able to earn with one or two HNT minier if I start?
I ended up going with the MXC M2 Pro as well, because I don't have any Helium hotspots in my area and no prospects for having someone in the area host a 2nd helium hotspot...
I bought one too and see it as helium mining minus two years! I am afraight helium Mining isnt worth too much after halving and a lot more miners who must share the pie
As of today, I have a bobcat miner scheduled to arrive near the end of September and end of November. I'm not in a high populated area, so getting an additional miner would be helpful from what you're saying. How good of friends were you with your neighbor? How did you go about asking your neighbor? And would you still recommend getting a second helium miner (probably a bobcat)? Thank you in advance if you (or anyone else) are able to provide me an answer.
Question. If I bought two miners and put them in the same house would they both witness the nearby miners? Or would it do more harm than good. I’m a full time student living in town so I can’t really ask my neighbors haha.
My town has no hotspots so I ordered 4 Nebra indoor units plus 5.8dBi for all of them to experiment with. All from Parley Labs and have worked out a deal with several people to put them at their houses. Can't wait for them to show up.
Too bad I startied hearing about Helium after the halving, but still feels like something to get into. At least it seems highly probable that the miner can pay for itself in a shorter amount of time than current bitcoin miners. Crossing my fingers.
im still slightly confuse.. u were able to put one hotspot at a neighbor about 300m away and he also decided to purchase a hotspot for himself, so what would it mean for your hotspot that u installed at his house?
My first investment with Mrs Jane gave me profit of over $24,000 us dollars and ever since then she has never failed to deliver and I can even say she's the most sincere broker I have known
Hi u say your neighbour purchased one today. But can u have 2 hotspots in the same house? If he places his hotspot at his house yours will not mine? Or how does it work exactly
Bud did u say we can’t cash out what we line until the value hits 25-$35 each coin?? Or did I miss understand that part? Cuz that’s a big deal. That’s years down the road and we’d be looking at millions in coins when each person cashed in. Which I worry would crash the company
Hello, can you give me advise on what available and fast shipping miner i can buy now that can be shipped to Vietnam. And what is the correct frequency option for Vietnam? Thanks alot for your video So as i can see in the HNT map, there have been no miner inside Vietnam yet, so i may need to buy 2 miner to get profit, right
The price of Helium last year was about 8-10 dollars so the gains were great last year if you were getting 1.5-49 hnt a week you were making up to 450 dollars a day which today seems fake because most only get 3 hnt a month..... yo 450 a day is 13500 a month of profit... damn... that cant be correct.... today youd be lucky to get 75 dollars a month...
Is an indoor version really just the same as the outdoor? Simply, couldn't I just put it indoors then run to outdoor antenna? More importantly, where can I actually order 2 RAK units right now?
Hello Jymmy. I am really interested on this option of mining but I am in Brazil and as I checked on the map, there is only 1 place here, its Brazilia with 1 miner, doing very very badly. So watching your videos I thought that if I buy at once 3 miners and install it in a range 300 m just as you mentioned on your videos, would I have a good result in terms of Helium production? What do you think? Or where do you think I should starting to looking for more answers? (I believe that in Brazil when it starts it may become a big fever based on the way I experienced people here, adopting new technologies, specially when it brings money opportunities). Thank you very much!
Someone charged us $5,000.00 for a bobcat 300. We questioned why so much and he said it’s bc the CPU is much higher inside. I’m very skeptical about this? Are there different CPUs inside the bobcats, and if so would that make it more expensive? We can’t find one that expensive anywhere. Also, we got ours within a week or so. Does this sound right? I feel like we just got ripped off. 🤷♀️
Ordered a rak and a nebra. I'm sure mining will be much more difficult by the time I receive them but the price of hnt is growing so its kind of a push. I mined btc back in 2012 so I understand the potential.
You’ll won’t make much most likely 0.06 or a bit more everyday that’s the same as just a dollar so unless you convince somebody else to get one for now I think it’s an No but your choice do whatever you want 👍
Just measured the distance between mine and my family's home, 278 m what a joke 😂 If I place one in each house will they compete and I basically will earn just as much if I were to have only one in my home? There are about 10 other miners within a few miles. Any thoughts?
I know all the videos shows how much you could make if you have the only 2 mines in your area but how much could you make if you had 4 or 5 helium miners that was only yours in one town working at 300m apart.
I saw a comment talking about getting a neighbor to host his second miner. How far does the neighbor have to be? Because I have multiple buddies that live down the street from me, I'd say about 200-250 meters? Would it be worth it to host it at one of their houses OR host one about 3.5Miles away at another buddies house? Love the videos, hope you can respond to me!
I understand the at least 300 meters apart part, does that mean that anything over 300m should work ? or there is also an under number, so the devices are able to see/detect each other using the 915 frequency?
Jimmy can i question you something if you know answer What happen if i order 15 miners and put them every 400m in my city ,and every miner is up to my name will i witness them and get rewards for each miner letc 3-4 hnt per day,or will i get more hnt rewards if i put these miners on difference names Do you any suggestion what is best idea if i order a lot of miners?
QUESTION: As you know there's about 500k miners out now. There's upwards of 25 miners in one hexagon alone here in Vancouver. I have 10 miners arriving next week. Let's say I had all 10 in one city in vicinity of each other, but also within the mess of others. Are you saying I could make more because they are bouncing off each other? In comparison to have 1 in 10 different cities, or 2 in 5 different cities bouncing off one another.
Thanks for a great video Jimmy. I was wondering if you had some advice for me setting up some Hotspots in Cape Town, South Africa? Do you think this is still a viable option?
Hello guys. I have one problem, I hope you will solve it. 2 weeks stays like this. Bobcat miner shows this error: HEIGHT API ERROR. What to do? Thank you in advance. gap "-" miner height 1 block chain height 0
@Jimmy, quick question: I have 400 up 400 down 27/7 fibre connection using ethernet to bobcat using lmr400 1mtr ccable and i'm seeing 5 hour gaps in my reward activity. What could be the reason why i'm seeing so many gaps between the rewards? 5 hours, 3 hours, and so on. how can this be a connection issue if my internet is stable and fast?
What reason might it be around $100? I hope so I just ordered a few miners 4 total so I hope so. Im in Michigan just outside of Detroit area we have a nice handful around here.
Hi I'm from Kolkata India. I just want to know how many RAK miners can I operate through a single mobile phone? Because I have seen someone from Uttar Pradesh India have contacted 322 number of such minor in a single place I did not understand how come is it possible. I think that person either have gone mad or he is planning for a reality biggest game. Please let me know what. I will be waiting for your reply. Thanks and regards Kishalaya Biswas
Can someone please clarify. If my Bobcat is earning 15HNT a day and HNT price is currently say $8, that's $8 x 15 = $120. Therefore I have made $120 in one day if I sell the 15 HNT ? Is it me or is this too good to be true ? To late now I have ordered 6 miners !
I live in a largely populated area, Long Island NY. I have the opportunity to add 2 additional minors at 2 of my friends homes. Will this increase the amount of rewards I mine by linking more than 1 to my main unit at my home? Or is 1 the most I can link? I have another friend who's 7miles away, I was considering a larger home base antenna to connect to them if this is something you would recommend. Also Would I be able to increase my rewards from mining with the use of a larger antenna? Something like a a 16dBi mounted externally at the top of my chimney
Hi!!! Soul you recommend to mine in areas in which there are no hotspots Yet? I Live in mexico and i see a big opportunity. Would you agree with me? I’m just looking for your advise. If you can help me i will apretiate it very much!! Thanks a lot for sharing this info with The world. Can i contact you by other channel?
my folks are 3.6 miles from me, and im using a bobcat 300 now and have a upgraded 8dbi antenna. Think that distance will be good? And how do mixing different brands work out? Like I said mine is bobcat, and the and they have wayyy long backorder times so thinking of other brands. Thanks for the video very well done
Bobcat miners are crap, spent more time fixing issues the last two month more than anything. One of them still relay and I cannot get it off it. I forwarded the port and tested using port checker and it is open. Still relay after months. Also Hellium mining is not worth it anymore, very little rewards these day. I ordered four I have two connected, also the last two I ordered early september I am still waiting on them. Honestly, 15 to 20 a day according to this video is not true. My beacon transmit rate is 75 on both and still getting crapy rewards. Honestly, this Hellium stuff was good last year when it was new but today it is not worth it. You will not make 15 or 20 bucks a day if anything 2 on a good ay 3.5
You put one antenna at your neighbor’s house who is 300 meters away. In this country very often neighbors who have houses next to each other barely know each other let alone some random “dude” who lives several hundred meters away. On top of that, it is more than somewhat uncomfortable just to show up and ask your neighbor only for his internet password, imagine If you have to ask someone to put some device in his house, plug it to his electricity and use his internet. Then, the neighbor “loves” that he put your HTN minor in his house. I think better word would have been that the neighbor is “ecstatic.” Finally, the comment that neighbor then buys minor for himself completely destroys the point of point your miner at his house… So much nonsense and yet people act like they’ve seen a miracle.
I have only 16 hotspots near me. Looking at the surrounding area, on average there are about 20. The biggest I see in 57. I live on the 11th floor, I have a private terrace and miles of wide open sky. How much do you think I should expect to make?
My Helium Hotspot Miner when plugged in and connected to the internet only has 2 small colored LEDs flashing rather than showing a whole row of white lights like yours. So is my device broken and may require a replacement device? Thanks Bro.
NOT NEBRA !!! we have been waiting 5 months and still have not recieved miner , and according to nebra email updates its going to be more months yet. They sold miners without having any in stock. And still no apology from company.
I know a woman on 27th floor, but there is another tennant in the building that got a miner before her ...what does she do ? ....we dont know what floor he is on
Hello what are you talkin about an actual hotspot which means I can get internet from it or is it just crypto hotspot explained in the video you might want to do the video over cuz people are not getting the message and obviously if there is a referral Link in here no one's going to click on it because we don't know what you're even talkin about you're coming out of left field you're coming out of left field one of this hotspot is it a internet hotspot what is this AT&T Verizon T-Mobile who is running this hotspot which cellular provider is running it Dish Network is it's a satellite hotspot going at 30 kilobits per per per minute I mean like who like what is going on here explain please when you talkin about a hotspot you're talkin about AT&T U-verse Verizon T-Mobile maybe satellite Hotspots for outside under in the who-knows-where in middle of nowhere what are you talkin about what type of hotspot is this if you listen to your video you'll find out if coming literally from leftfield you're coming like in the middle of a sentence so kindly do over the video explain what type of hotspot this is because no one is getting the kind of hotspot this is unless you can talk to the people on the phone or email or whatever again I guess you getting a lot of these types of messages because nobody knows what type of hotspot this is like what is voice over IP what kind of this
Question is it even worth buying these now since A its 20-28 week wait time and B mining rate has halved which would not be able to break even on ROI until after 9-12 months. Also I have starlink internet with huge trees around my house so i get constant cut outs of 2-15 seconds where internet cuts out and comes back. Also thinking it might not even be worth it since my connection cuts out a lot.
Can I set these up at my house and then bring them to wherever they’ll end up being? Whether it’s a neighbour down the street or relatives couple towns over? Or do they need to be setup on location?
I am on 6th floor in nyc, both sides north & west side of windows pretty clear, what are the chances to put 2 hilium minor and get rewards? I am new just saw the video, should I get the helium minor. All around looks total green on map, brooklyn ny, plaese advise thanks
