Me too actually. There is only one Clan where they used to live, so loyalty isn't as big of an issue in SkyClan. I just don't think they deserve to be called "real" warriors.
Leafstar: "Shouldn't you be with Firestar?" Spottedleaf: "Did you know he had kits Leafstar? Kits with some alive person." Sandstorm: "eXcUSe mEeEEeeEee?????"
I feel like the only person who wants Moonkitti to do an “I spoil Bluestar’s Prophecy” just to hear this line “This is a sign that Moonflower is in a BaD rElAtIoNsHiP!!”
Okay tbf Stormtail isn’t really that bad of a father, sure he may have ignored his own daughters most of the time but he actually did some good things like help comfort Bluefur when Thisleclaw blamed her for killing her own sister That really more applies to Snowfur But regardless I would love to see that line come back in another video though
I relate to leafstar on a spiritual level, this is how I was as a camp counselor and probably the reason my kids locked me out in the rain claiming to sacrifice me.
@@laclara4020 they wanted it to stop raining so these kids asked me to look outside for one of their shoes, I went to go check, they shut the door, blocked it, and told me they needed a sacrifice for the rain gods to end the rain.
I have so many mixed feelings about this book. In one hang, it made me LOVE Leafstar. She was just so great. But on the other, I hated how the book treated her, I hated how Sharpclaw treated her and was presented as being in the right. And the stranger's story was just unintersting. The book should've about Leafstar only, and should've ended with her being more confident anf assertive, talking to Sharpclaw to tell him that his behaviour was NOT okay and that he should respect her. Not Sharpclaw being so condescendent after ruining her authority in front of the whole clan, pretending he was helping her.
I hated how Leafstar was like "Sharpclaw stop going behind my back" while doing nothing to stop him she doesn't even confront him until the end of the book. Sharpclaw walking all over Leafstar just made me angry. Also, when Sharpclaw wanted to go scare the twoleg without the kittypets. Leafstar knew this was wrong and said nothing. Another thing is the stranger's story just felt like filler. The ending felt kind of forced. Just automatically forgiving Sharpclaw and suddenly making Frecklepaw a medicine cat apprentice.
I think the funniest part of that book was how the kits just kept picking up the conflicts/tensions in the Clan and roleplaying it in front of Leafstar, seemingly just to taunt her.
@@ezra-jacksimas9613 I know she does that- I just don't think the names are that good. She chooses completely random words as the suffix, which results in confusing, stupid names.
Here’s my interpretation: This book is actually a really great example of why there needs to be multiple clans. SkyClan, faced with no outside forces, nearly tore itself apart, because, well, conflict is inevitable. Basically, the Clans desperately need healthy competition with each other. Elsewise, the only enemy they have is themselves until some prophecy-sized threat comes.
Having never heard of Ebonyclaw, I genuinely thought "wow, best name is SkyClan". And I didn't know Frecklewish was a daylight warrior. FRECKLEWISH SUMMONS THE BEES. NEUTER YOUR CATS OR THEY WILL PEE ON YOUR XBOX.
I actually once in a while get sad that Ebonyclaw stayed behind and became a kittypet-they were a good warrior, with good ideas, and had good leadership potential but NO we have HAWKWING. yaaaaaaay /s
@@alphaareus I don't mind him, I just think he's a little...boring ? Although maybe my opinion will change when I read his super edition. In AVoS, he's not very exciting for me personally.
@@Diamondr11Blue Alder heart is different for me, since I relate to a lot of his anxiety. Although we do eventually fade out from his perspective, which I also don't mind. But to each their own, when the sun sets.
I cant tell if this is moon kitti's interpretation, or if the book really _does_ summon new characters in groups of four at random, only to do nothing with them
As someone who’s read this book, this is completely accurate as is a lot of this video, it’s not as played for laughs as some of the other ones because what already happened is absurd enough once you simplify it a bit
this is the most interesting book I’ve ever read in my entire life I love the part where Leafstar is breathing it’s so interesting I have so many theorys.
I do want to say at the end, that spaying and neutering cats is very important. I work at a shelter, and we have a huge issue with cats and we cannot keep all that come in. Feral cats are fixed then released so that the colony does not grow. So please, PLEASE, neuter your cats, this season is the busiest for many shelters that are no kill, as there’s are so many kittens!
@ZIENNA MCCLEARYyes Listen, When you see a bunch of cats that people just drop off and we have no room for them, you too will be going online to make sure random people who probably don’t give two shits that they’re fixing their cats.
@@KittyKatty999 no. And for that last statement, if there wasn’t an issue of rampant diseases and overpopulation, it wouldn’t be an issue. Fact of the matter is, too many animals in one area can lead to the ecosystem being destroyed. Even if people feed, there’ll be completion for food which will lead to more death.
"Look, that cloud looks like a cloud" "That one looks like a mouse" The two daylight apprentices screeched. Walking past, leafstar stood still to try to spot the clouds. "That one looks like a dead guy!" Leafstar said, looking at the dead guy cloud. "Oh look- its uh, nught now, leafstar! We gotta go!"
"Velvet, the card hardest to get in the Littlecloud bot" Me: *Instantly goes searching up Velvet in the bot, who's only a two star, yet I've never seen her card before* Interesting
@@braytonkumlioni756 it’s kinda hard to explain lmao but the card was added.. not instantly after the release of the book and because of that most people thought it was a bug, but it wasn’t and now everyone needs this card because it’s new and no one has it
I don't understand why people don't like this book. I really liked the atmosphere of a clan that is still being built and the unique problems skyclan has to face due to their location and newness Anyway nice video Moonkitti 😌
Ebonyclaw was my favorite and the best thing to happen to SkyClan, I wish she stayed, she would've made a great leader. And I was rooting for Shrewtooth, thinking of him as the underdog of the clan and that he'd be a valued warrior later on but he disappeared.
This book really does portray Leafstar as helpless and useless in her clan and when I read it I found myself begging Leafstar to take control and be a leader
I honestly find the daylight ""warriors"" idea insteresting, 'cause it is both a wise and a dangerous plan. It is wise 'cause: *1)* You have more paws helping you with the camp, hunting and patrolling, even in the TwoLegs' Territory (if Jake in "Tallstar's Revenge" could recognize a poisoned rat from a safe prey, it is possible for them to recognize toxic baits and avoid them). *2)* If a daylight "warrior" decides to join you, you get extra Clan members and the training is basically almost-complete. *3)* If you have to banish someone, there are less possibilities for them to be that dangerous to your Clan like an ex Clan-cat with full knowledge of your secrets could be and there are less possibilities that another Clan member would defend them or join them to take their parts (since it can happen that an evil cat would still be followed by a loved one, but since the Skyclan's members didn't enjoy that much the part-time collegues...). *4)* They're useful for everything about their territory: they are guides if you need/want to explore and to know who you can trust and approach in that place; they can tell you about the dangers that come from there and especially how to avoid them and recognize them (for examplee a kittypet that knows different kind of Monsters could alert if the transports of animal catchers are approaching) and they may know/find out everything that goes up there, you're searching a certain rouge living there/a medical plant that grows only in TwoLegs' gardens/you saw something suspicious coming from there and want to know what's up? Sent them back and wait for the informations! *5)* They're cats with a safe place to go and a bowl always full of food, so they're more likely to have extra energy every day and something to spare in Leaf-Bare (I mean, if my Clan is starving I'd rather shove kittypet's food in their throats than let them starve. Warrior Codes or not, a starving Clan is always a bad thing and a serious problem requires desperate solutions), nor to mention that with the vaccines from the veterinary, they can avoid some sickness. It was dangerous 'cause: *1)* They're basically only dudes helping and not "full-warrior" (you can't even call them "real" warrior) loyal to you at the levels of your Clan-cats, if you search for new Clan members you can't expect all of them to leave the families they love (I mean, if I was something like a rescue cat that has been saved from dead and raised by a loving family, I'd feel guilty to just turn my back on them like they're nothing, I'd gladly wait until the kids are out of home and the parents are gone, but I wouldn't just turn my back on my family, like I would never turn my back on my Clan if I was born in there and a human tried to take me away, it's the same thing) like they're nothing, nor you can expect them to join you even just for really difficult situations (predators, Clan battles, etc,), so you'll have to be always prepared for the chance to have less cats to help the Clan at any second. *2)* The moment a Clan-cat forms a bonding with a part-time warrior and something happen it's basically a mix of drama and indecisions, if you must leave, wich side will they choose? *3)* The most dangerous thing is that some humans seriously care about where their cats go, even if the cat in question doesn't join the Clan, the only fact that Skyclan lived close to TwoLegs' Territory was a constant betting on how many possibilities there were for a loose dog or a human to find them in a single day and with kittypets in the camp all day?! It was an invitation for everyone thinking: "Where does my cat go all the day? It came home all dirty and was wounded today, I shouldfollow it/Where is my kitty that never came home since yesterday? (If the cat joins the Clan)" and they were lucky that no kittypet in W.C. seems to have the microchip. So, yes, it is a clever idea and could take to interesting subplots, but really risky, but after all the strenght of a Clan and the ability of a leader are showed even thanks to really dangerous situation and how they handle the risks... even if their way to handle the risk is: "Oh no! a one single person came and is grabbing one of our clanmates! What could we, feral cats trained ito fight and with sharp claws and fangs do against an old weak lady (quoting what happens in a book)? We can't just attack a person that can't hardly fight back like we attack animals that will fight back and slaughter us (foxes, dogs, badgers), what should we do? Sratch it's hands/make it trip and fall/literally distract it untill the others carry the poor victim to safety and then run? Nah, our friend is gone!" and yet, at the same time, they have the guts to go and scare a twoleg in it's own den (full of unknown danger and where other enemies could be hiding), in it's own territory and even attack it and succed! 'cause they couldn't do it before right? They have to let you get taken away without knowing if you're safe but they'll blindly come and save you risking to get all killed/trapped 'cause: going blind in the enemy's place to fight it is good, but doing the same before where we have the advantage is bad. What a pity nobody took away Sharpclaw and his stupid excuses to hide the simple enjoyment of making Leafstar look like a terrible leader, it would have been good (and it would have been even better if Ebonyclaw joined the Clan too, but the best cats not awlays stay).
Imagine if they had really given the kid a split tho? That’d probably bring up a lot of questions especially when the child tells them that the cats infact did it. Of course they might not believe it but it might lead into warriors getting studdied by humans and i feel like thatd be a super interesting concept to tackle! Maybe possibly they could bring up animal testing? Id like to see a more gentle angle to them studying them though without disrupting there society. Just cadually they see a two leg with binoculars in a bush and all gather around it mewing questionably about what to do and then all looking up towards the sky calling put to sky clan for guidance about the abundance of two legs in there territorys. Of course to the guy thatd be super strange to see sense theyed all just be yowling at the sky for no reason lol. It could lead to some funny moments and interesting moments all around!
All jokes aside your Misha drawing gives me life Also this video reminded me how much of a slog this book was to get through but the characters are still oddly charming to me
Am I the only one who thinks it'd be interesting to see a neutered ex-kittypet character in the series that isn't just lazy and is actually pretty well-adapted? Some of the neutered cats I met are some of the most excellent mousers.
Yeah, that'd be cool. We don't need more kits anyway. The way Warriors portrays kittypets is really weird sometimes. Like they're dumb or don't have any hunting instincts, and get lazy. My neutered male cat hunts mice and birds a lot (unfortunately can't prevent kills with a bell, he manages to lose his collar as soon as he gets one), he's a fairly active cat that needs something to do most days, or else he gets very bored. And he loves his wet and dry food, but he only eats what he needs, so he doesn't get fat. Clan cats really need to get over their stereotypes, lol.
I actually really liked this book- yes it was boring at times but i found it refreshing to be out of thunderclan for once. I also really liked the daylight warriors.
so i haven't been caught up on warrior cats for years now... you're telling me there's a cat named BILLYSTORM BILLY STORM HE SOUNDS LIKE A BAD 80s GLAM ROCK SINGER OH MY GOD
Honestly would love to see Moonkitti talk about the deeper problems of warriors. The Bramblestar video and this one made me realize how apparent Sexism is in these books, then there’s the ableism thing….and abuse…..and Spottedleaf’s Heart….just in general a video addressing these problems to raise awareness that the way warriors is presented in a lot of ways is not okay, and it shouldn’t be excused for being a big book series. At least some in-book acknowledgment that this isn’t okay?
I mean the whole Leafstar-Billystorm having to be kept a secret wasn't just sexism. It was also the fact the he was a daylight warrior and it would make it even more complicated for her to defend them if she's dating one, which would give the impression that she's very biased.
Your designs for this book are so pretty,, like goddamn. Frecklepaw... Red... Misha... Cora... Coal... Red... Egg... Shorty... Red... Harley... _Red..._

I remember finding this at Barnes & Noble, rushing home to read it, getting through the entire thing, and wondering what the point of this entire super edition was
This "going behind the back of your leader" really reminds me of Bramble and Squilf, except that Leafstar was not trying to control Sharpclaw......... at all. Male superiority much?
Thank you for this moonkitti, truly. I bought Skyclan's Destiny literal years ago and to this day haven't finished reading it because it was so tedious and could not hold my attention no matter how hard I tried. I love Skyclan but that book was drier reading than reading an academic article for an essay.
@@Diamondr11Blue I'd try to refute that but I don't even know how far I got into the book and don't have it with me to find out so I'll take your word for it
