tbh, WindClan is so weak and picked on, that we DO need verification to see if they're still alive or not. They got driven out by ShadowClan once, and double-teamed by River and Shadow TWICE in the span of six books. All three times they needed ThunderClan to save them.

+ richue the cute No because Firestar is also of protagonist type which means that if he is defeated he gets and instant revive and a boost to level 100 for the rest of the fight. That cancels out the dark type weakness.
Firestar’s lives in a nutshell, a la moonkitti: Lionheart gives him the life of naming warriors -fur and -pelt. It’s sophisticated. Redtail gives him the life of screen time. Silverstream gives him perfect eyeliner. Runningwind gives him the life of appreciating background characters. Brindleface gives him the power of infinite, unrestrained muscle. Swiftpaw gives him the hiccups. Yellowfang gives him the life of unnecessary super editions. Spottedleaf gives him the life of late-series retcons. Bluestar gives him the life of everlasting life, which kind of defeats the purpose of having nine, but if it gets out of hand they’ll just drop a tree on him like they do every immortal cat.

You know, I wish that Scourge didn't die. Yes, him getting reformed would also make people who wanted more death sad but it would be an interesting plot twist. Also, he was so CUTE.

Moral of the story, if you're the main character, dead cats will help you get absolutely nothing and beat EdgyMcEdgeLord after he murders Tigerstar 1 and then they will proceed to do basically nothing and give no help whatsoever for the next 2 years.
