Join me for updates in the swamp. Checking on two swamps planted in rice for ducks. We do some fertilizing and we accidently bump a wood duck on eggs in JULY.
Would suggest when checking boxes to use your camera to see if you have a nesting hen or whatever. Probably didn’t hurt her chances of returning but hens don’t need additional stress. And besides, better to see a snake first in a picture than to have one pop you on the arm when you open up that side door up. 😊
I probably have watched them all, like what you do and grew up not far from where you are. I have many boxes at my place. I use to “knock” on them too but had several birds that would not make a sound so I started using the camera. Especially good early in the year when screech owls basically go comatose in them and won’t budge until you physically remove them, lol. Keep up the interesting videos. 👌
@@fowlplayoutdoors68 we rototllled the ground real nice and put the rice out after 36 hour soak, today no sign of germination but my eyesight isn’t the greatest
