I used to love going to Haven, only ones I can remember going to through is Thorpe Park although it's now called something else, Hopton (I think), Golden Sands and Primrose Valley. The most common one we have been too is Thorpe Park, once going 3 times back in 2015, once for an actual 7 day stay and 2 day trips cause we just love it. The most recent park we have been too was Primrose Valley back in 2019 and we always had to have a 3 bedroom platinum caravan, as it was me, my sister and my stepdad and mum going, and my mum always wanted a seaview caravan so she could watch the sea at night, a good wrap-around varanader (balcony). I always loved going swimming too, and other activities around the park and it was always a good place to go in the summer, even if it was just for a day trip or so, it was amazing there but my mum hates the showbar. Me and my sister are massive fans of the Seaside Squad although the old one, and remember it going as far back as Tiger Club and even further than that, and I used to love doing the party dances - yes, even at the age of 17, I loved dancing along to my favourite party dances 😂 but, Haven last year announced they were changing some major things to the parks which included the Seaside Squad, and me and my sister did NOT like them at all, not only did they change pretty much everything about them, there was literally no need too and my sister's favourite character was Anxious, now known as Annie but she had a special connection towards that character, and now they're all different. Throughout the past few months they have been making drastic changes that I'm sure many people wanting to go to Haven are not liking and even putting us off, and I seriously thing Haven is slowly dying if I'm going to be honest. I want it to go back to the way it was as there was nothing wrong with it, and these new changes have caused a huge backlash to the company.
My family used to Own a caravan on a haven Park (burnham on Sea) Caravans have come a long way since we owned about a decade or so ago... That van looked gorgeous
The bus only comes down to service the park as it’s a dead end at the bottom. Land train comes down there too. Nice little trek over the dunes to the sea. A long walk to the town. Especially with young children.
Excellent choice, and it’s not me being biased as a Haven Employee, I think the majority of sites have a Burger King and Papa Johns these days, I live on site as I’m on the entertainment team, regarding food I go to the local supermarket I won’t generally buy from the shop, maybe milk, if I have forgotten, Pity Kev didn’t have the entertainment included, as it is very good indeed
I've already established Seashore as my third home, and I was lucky to have spent Christmas at this Haven park this year because I've always wanted to spend Christmas at a Haven park. Haven have been trialling Festive Breaks at Seashore this year for this year's Festive Season. You should try it next year Kevin because they're brilliant.🥰
The land train can store buggies and the like if someone is able to manoevre themselves onto the train. We always take the pram on...the owner of the train is very helpful.
The land train if the person can get out of the mobility scooter and or small enough and same with a buggy it can go in the back with the ticket man as I know one of the blokes that works on them
Being given a 3 bed van when you don't need it is not an upgrade in my opinion. It just means that the bedrooms you will be using are smaller. The single beds are 2' 6"; standard singles are 3' 6". Edit: I commented before you got to this point too!
Great video. P.s. your videos have started to reappear on my home page since you made a new channel, so it seems like it was a good decision after all!
We paid £118 for the full haven experience at Wild Duck (which is about 10 mins down the road) on the exact same week. It was the third time we’ve been there and we really enjoy it there. We have paid for 2 bed bronze caravans each time and been upgraded to 3 beds on all three occasions. The 3 bed caravans are definitely bigger there too. If you’re interested in trying it out, give me a shout and I’ll recommend the local pubs to eat at, as the on-site restaurant is not great.
Seashore is ok stayed there before, if your going to Great Yarmouth though its worth going to the Wild Duck Haven park in Belton, abit furthur from the beach but its Havens only woodland park, it has abit more character and just abit nicer all around. Nothing wrong with Seashore though ultimately it depends on how close you want to be to the sea, for me personally though the upgrade in quality is well worth it.
I love seashore. I have a family member who works there 😂 also I've just come across your channel. Are you from the norfolk area? If you haven't been to hopton I'd highly recommend that park. It's about 15 mins from seashore (it's in lowestoft). It's my favourite park of all. Feels like a second home to me and it's great for dogs. We've also been on the land train at seashore back when it used to stop where the check in hut is now. I had two buggies and they were very helpful with folding them down and putting them in the back whilst we sat with the kids on our lap in one of the carriages. I'm sure they'd be able to accomodate a mobility scooter too as the back part of the train is (or used to be) quite wide x
Love caravan holidays and because i don't book them my boyfriend always gets the luxury caravan that is double wide and the main bedroom is always huge. We went to blue dolphin near Scarborough in may and it was a fantastic week.
Its weird watching someone walk around and talk about where you work. I thought I saw you a couple of times on that week walking around park. Plus when you went walking for the land train you didnt notice the circle sign oiutside the coasthouse turned around pointing the right way for the pavilion ahahah
I stayed at seashore for 4 nights last October in a saver caravan for around £89 I had a larger fridge freezer and entertainment pass And a 3 bed caravan not far from where you where for myself I enjoyed the site but it was a shame about the local area I feel its getting rundown now
We always go to seashore and if there is 4 of us then I always pay extra to choose van (2 bedroom ) as has way more space. also the beach is better if you go from where the land train stops.
kev i love your videos and this is pain for me since im so used to these parks ive only not been to one for about 2 years during covid but other than that pretty much been to one every year hahahahah
Love Seashore, remember going there many times as a kid, used to be our little summer tradition. Nice to see it again, the Seafront certainly hasn't really changed from when I went there about 15 years ago
Another great video Kev 😊 We have booked a weeks holiday with our autistic looked after child at Haven for the school half term holiday at All Hallows lots of things for him to do. Are you doing a panel at EGX
The new way of checking in since Covid I guess has made it easier for the holidaymaker, but for haven I’m not sure, As being a employee for them, the days of all the holidaymakers having to go to the club room, and sit and wait for there caravans to be available, especially those who would arrive in the morning and were a captive audience, aa to pass time, were using shops, club, pub, arcades all before there caravans were ready
