I stayed in a HOSTEL & SHARED A ROOM with 12 other people! The WORST NIGHT OF MY LIFE! 

Hey everyone! Just to clear something up. This hostel IS NOT bad & not done anything wrong. The way I felt was a 'ME' issue .. I thought I'd give it a try, which I did, I hated every minute of it .. but that's my issue .. not the hostels. It's not for me, but it obviously is for other people which is fine :) I've had a few messages saying asking why I was hating on the hostel ... I wasn't... I was just hating my personal experience :) Love you all & keep it real homies x

"Having an Anne Frank" that caught me off guard! 🤣

The last time I stayed in a YHA hostel was way back in the eighties. All night people were talking, laughing and farting. In the morning I set off, bleary-eyed, for a walk and went past a B&B just up the road offering rooms for 2 quid mor per night. Never again.

I laughed way more than I should have at this I’m sure!! The socks in the window, the old guy half dressed, the snoring, the powdered mash, the running out at the end…hilarious!! Never stopped in a hostel and don’t intend to either!! 😂 Well done for braving it a bit Adam 😊

@AdamsRottenRooms you brought back some nice memories! I stayed in YHA Langdale in 2009 on a school trip when I visited from Hungary. I instantly recognised the separate toilet with the dwarf sink, where I also enjoyed some solitude, finally away from my schoolmates for a few minutes 😂 Although none of the bathrooms and toilets had been renovated back then, that just added to the charm of the place at the time, especially for someone from abroad, when bathroom fixtures still had their British character. I mean it’s (kinda) alright when you’re younger, but I remember it being a stretch already with 11 other people I knew from school, even as a teen. It may have been the same room where I stayed too! It’s too bad it was raining heavily in this video, I loved sitting and chatting with friends in the garden with some stellar views of the hills and valleys 😊 Thank you for taking me back there a little bit 😊

I would never stay in a hostel, I don't blame you for feeling like that. Oh my God, the 'Scissor Sisters' in the dining room, that made me laugh out LOUD, almost spat my drink out. Cheers for the laughs!

You should try a "pod" hotel. Similar concept that you share the facilities but you actually have your own bed surrounded on all sides, it locks and there usually is a bit of storage and maybe a small TV. It's like a hotel room for dwarfs!

Good grief, I couldn't have shared a room in that place. You did well to try it and get a few hours sleep. It was clean enough, well planned out for hikers and such.But its a no from me. well done Adam

I stayed in a hostel in Paddington in London when i was working as a film extra about 10/15 yrs ago and it was awful (around 15 ppl in the room and i was the only girl which was really scary for how young i was at the time). The bathroom we all shared in the room had no ventilation, was damp and covered in black mold. I dont remember getting back to Manchester i was so sick afterwards (still think to this day i had pneumonia). For two years after i had a really bad chest coughing and hacking my guts up and i swear it was that bathroom that caused it.

I'd rather rough camp than stay in a hostel but on hikes when there's been no other option the dorm life has been OK. Met some fun folk that way. You have to get out of your shell to enjoy it.

I've stayed in a couple of those backpackers hostels and found them grim especially last one in Manchester, had to get up early hours and leave because of the loudest snoring I've ever heard. Went and walked around Manchester City Centre at about 2am to think what to do and ended up getting a wash change of clothes and get the hell out of there and sit around coach station for about 5 or 6 hours for coach home.

You're braver than me Adam. I don't think I could have gone through with it. I salute you Sir! You've taken more than one for the team there.

Do you know what I actually love - that the toilets are their own seperate room, as in they are not just flimsy cubicles with gaps like you get in most public toilets, they have a proper door that goes all the way to the floor, and the showers were pretty nice - I'd still need flip flops or verruca sox though I'm paranoid about catching toenail fungus! I'd be more likely to book if they all came with a naked Jesus.

No,no,no..Jeez i wouldn't stay in hostel if you gave me all the haggis in Scotland..Would be my worst nightmare..Think you would have been more comfortable in your car..I maybe wrong but it takes a "certain" person to stay and survive in some hostels.. Thanks for the memories 🤣

This is hostel life - and shared spaces! An eye opener for sure! But not sure what folk expect in this instance to be honest.. many of these places come as a shock - but you’ll be reet and meet some ace folk hopefully! 🙏🏼

I've only ever stayed in a hostel once and that was for a friend's 21st. There were 7 of us in a room for 8 people and we had one lad staying in the room with us. I did feel sorry for him as we were all very drunk and loud. I think he as a bit scared of a group of very lairy girls as he was gone by the second night and we had the dorm to ourselves. But I did find the showers a bit of an experience. That said, the staff were amazing, and they often played pool with us and plied us with pringles and coffee at stupid o clock in the morning.

Don't you worry I'm on my way for a quick look over, after reviewing your video I thought it was a good start with the outside fire information (fire assembly location) It's heartwarming to see you take fire safety seriously and highlight the dangers, as the fireplace looks to be operational it's very concerning to have a bed in front of a loaded fireplace (dry twigs). can you also inform us of the pet 🐕 policies

No one wants to share a strangers space least of all a room with more than 12 people in. I stayed in the Ambleside one about 35 years ago. It's not for me either. Never again.

I've had great times in YHA hostels with my mates, but that was 50 years ago. I did stay in one in York but I was on my own and felt really uncomfortable. It's literally just somewhere to sleep. YHA seems to have gone downhill a lot. 12 people in one room?

I've stayed in 2 hostels RestUp in Old Kent Road 💀 was full of foreign school students 😂 was horrific, and also SafeStay in Elephant 🐘 and Castle 🏰 which was actually really enjoyable, I had the whole dorm to myself for 3 of the 7 nights I stayed there. 10/10 recommend if you are travelling to London on a budget.

To be honest I have supported some people who have had no choice but to live there not in this place but others it's hard and you can't imagine how some vulnerable people live most people would not believe it and allso your at your most vulnerable when your asleep to be honest Adam your better off not staying there people but mostly as they don't have a choice and no fault of their own in many circumstances still enjoyed the vid but don't think it's worth putting yourself through that and I just hope that life gets better for the people that need to stay there don't think even the dwarves would like it lol 😂😂😂😂😂

Why are you always complaining about things you read the reviews about the places you go to so you have a heads up as to what the places are like you complain about the views from the window people don’t go away to sit staring out the window they go to get out and about and use the hotel or flats as a place to sleep I’ve stayed in some places that haven’t been the cleanest but for me it’s about the staff and they have always been such lovely people and I’ve never wanted to leave i mean who takes an ultraviolet light to a hotel to check for stains it’s a hotel or a flat or a hostel it has many people coming and going you can’t change the mattress every time it’s used I think you just expect to much
