Thank you for checking out the cheapest rooms in the various casinos as it gives the average person a realistic view of what to expect if one stays there.
I know it's a cheesy place, but I LOVE the Luxor! It was one of the first hotel/casinos that I stayed at and actually won a nice jackpot there! Luxor has a place in my heart, forever! Thanks again, Ruby for a wonderful video!
Hi Ruby I just got home this morning from a 4 night stay at The Luxor our room was in the tower it had 2 queen beds and we loved our room. It was spacious, clean, nice furnishings, I believe Luxor put us in a newly renovated room, also it had the best shower I ever used in Vegas, only disappointment was there was no fridge, but no big deal I would recommend staying at The Luxor, and your hotel/room tours are the BEST on all of u-tube! People don’t realize how hard and time consuming it is to pull off what you do. Thank you. Joanna from Canada 🇨🇦.
When I first moved to Southern Nevada, the Luxor was my home for the first week. The room rate was $30 and the resort fee was more than double that. The room was in the pyramid and comfortable and quiet. Enjoyed the content on this video, thanks for sharing.
I normally stay at the Luxor because it is affordable. It has been a few years since I was last there and since I know that the rooms have been renovated, I just might have to stay there. Thanks for the update and I hope to stay at other resorts on the strip.
We stayed at the Luxor a very long time ago. I remember taking a boat ride inside (around the lobby) with narration and going inside King Tut's tomb. It was fun. I hear it's not there anymore.
Hi Ruby! Thanks for going over the remodeled pyramid rooms. We've stayed in the pyramid several times and I love it. Maybe it's just nostalgia, but Luxor is usually my go-to hotel. I love walking the strip so maybe that's why. Can't wait to go back.
We just got home from a 4 night stay at the Luxor. We always get the tower one bedroom suite and love it every time! Our rooms are usually tucked away at the end of the hall so no noise from other guests and it feels like we are alone. Love it there 😁
We spent a number of nights in the Pyramid rooms (with and without our kids) fifteen years ago (or so) before MGM took Luxor way downscale, and they were fine. As the property was neglected and much of the cool Egyptian stuff removed, we went elsewhere. The last time I stayed there (about 4-5 years ago, during a music festival), my "premier" Tower Room was expensive and beat to hell, with cracked bathroom tile, exposed wires and beat-up furniture. It's good to see that some $ has been spent fixing up the Pyramid rooms and the property itself. Mr. Ruby's camerawork and your ebullent personality made the property look very enticing for mid-level players; they should conp you on your next visit!
My first stay at the Luxor was back when it opened in the 90’s. We were coming more regularly until about 6 years ago. Thanks to your reviews and some nostalgia we booked a trip Jan. 2023. Coming from Vermont and need a bit of a winter break. Booked a tower Suite. Will let you know how we like it. We are looking forward to exploring some new attractions. Love your channel. Keep up the good work!
I stayed at Luxor back in August because it was super close to the stadiums where Summerslam was being held. I was actually really impressed for such a cheap hotel on the strip! Very clean and I loved the design.
As someone who stayed at neighboring Excalibur the last time I visited Vegas a few months ago, Luxor is by far a better quality hotel than Excalibur while remaining affordable for the average tourist. When it comes to Public House, absolutely love the food there. Thanks for providing a detailed review. I will definitely consider Luxor as one of the hotels to stay at the next time I am in Vegas. By the way, avoid staying at Excalibur at all costs when you are in Vegas because the quality isn't good and the hotel is relatively old (and needs a massive update or a new hotel needs to be built).
Luxor, like Excalibur is still a massive cash cow. It will stick around as long as there are mid tier travelers/gamblers. I personally think it's a great property but not worthy of a resort fee
Stayed at the Luxor this past weekend. It is ok for the price and area. Spent most of the time playing and recording content for my channel at Mandalay Bay.
One cool thing about the Luxor is it is connected to Excalibur. From there you can walk to the NYNY or MGM Grand without having to go down to the street.
Stayed at Luxor last Summer- had a good experience overall BUT the Air Conditioning just couldn't keep up with the heat outside. Didn't go under 80 in the room even at night.
Staying at the Luxor in June with the wife and my parents. We can’t wait! Looks like the perfect casino for us. Love that the monorail runs through 3 different casinos
i stayed for the first time last june. would never have chosen Luxor, except my friends had already booked and i wanted to stay close to them. loved the atmosphere and the hang out spots! rooms weren't the greatest, but a lot of them were under construction. booked the cheapest room and $20 trick put me in the tower right by the pool and super close to the elevator! i went to my friend's room ONE time. never again. what a nightmare getting back to a pyramid room. (some of the elevators were out of service) lots of great memories, though.
Hi Ruby! It’s soo funny it’s like fate me finding your channel… my husband just booked us a room there and I was dying to see how it would look and what we can do/eat while there and this answers everything! I’ll keep watching more of your videos for more ideas since we will be there for 1 whole week and we’ve never been. Super excited to be there soon!
What I missed in your review is the breakfast. They used to have an amazing breakfast buffet in the basement of the Luxor. Watching this video is giving me flashbacks. Very nice to see it is still there and getting renovated rooms. I'd stay there again.
Hey Ruby the fiancee and I enjoy watching your videos, and we love the Luxor. I agree the main downfall is how far south it is but there are easy ways to get to other places.
I love your videos they really helped me because I lived in Vegas in the late 80's and now i am planning a trip there so thank you for all of your info it was so nice to see all the changes in Vegas
I'm such a fossil, I remember the boat ride in the lobby. I always liked the pyramid rooms. Good to see a bit better food options than the last time I was there, which was eons ago. First time commenter, but am a subscriber. Love your content, Miss Ruby!
Hi Ruby, Coming to Vegas the second week in January. Last visit was just before things went haywire 2 years ago. Enjoyed my stay at Bally's very much. It was truly a bargain rate, for wonderful accommodations. I'm planning to stay there again, as I was able to book a suite for about $75, all in! I enjoy your straight forward videos and information. Keep up the great work!
Yes! That’s exactly why my husband and I stay there. And that’s exactly why we’re going to start staying somewhere else. We love the Luxor. It’s our place. But we’re tired of walking so much. We will still go back for gambling and shows. But we want to try New York New York next. Still affordable and a lot more centralized.
Small room, get anything south end you will roast if you open curtain. and the glass has mineral deposits on it. But.... It's a room and vegas. For few nights it's ok. The tower rooms are better. My sister stayed and battery on the door went dead. They had to sit in the hall for 4 hours till maint got it changed out. It took a lot to get back in.
I love the Luxor!! ✨ I’ve stayed in a pyramid room and a tower room recently and I gotta say- I loved the pyramid room! It was fun! Altho the view from the 25th floor inside balcony freaked me out lol
Love the Luxor! Stayed there many times. After the first year in a regular room, we decided to go for a suite the second year, and it was fabulous! We were so spoiled, we stayed in a tower suite the next six trips. The sports book, restaurants and coffee shop are great, and the access to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur make it even more appealing. The only drawback is that the casino seems to be getting smaller every year. What's with that???
I stayed in an identical room in mid-November. According to the guys working on the rooms next door, my room was renovated the day before, so I was probably the first person to stay in it. On the surface I agree with you about the room. It's nice and I certainly went "wow" when I first walked in because I wasn't expecting it to look that nice. I'll also say that the bed was super comfortable too. Now, here's some picky ass old man stuff. The didn't swap out the old almond colored and kind of grungy electrical outlets and switches. That's a simple and inexpensive detail that should not have been overlooked. Secondly, the bathroom was gorgeous, but the half glass wall for the shower was sitting on a ledge that was sloped the wrong direction. So as you pointed out, this caused all the water that hit the glass to run out on the floor. Poor execution in putting that shower stall together. (I really hate those half-glassed showers anyway, give me a goddam door.) I definitely preferred my room at Bally's. I also concur about the casino. I had a lot more fun - and luck - at Mandalay Bay. Drink service was better over there too.
I love Luxor. I’ve always stayed there. Now that they had changed their beds and upgraded, it’s the most comfortable bed especially for me who just finished all her cancer treatments. We’ve stayed at MGM also but the beds now in Luxor is the most comfortable.just did not like the long distance from the parking lot to the hotel.
3 night stay at Luxor back in the summer. was super cheap and didn't care where we would stay. Room was awful (pyramid 2nd floor) furniture was beat up and everything was worn out. biggest issue was the 2 queen beds. by far the most uncomfortable beds we have ever slept in. hoping the renovated rooms have better beds! The carpet was so disgusting and old, not sure I would stay there again.
Really love your reviews! 💖 We travel through Vegas at least 4 times per year. Typically avoid Hotels as we're usually in an RV of one sort or another. Great insight for when we decide to book a room. We used to stop at different Station Casinos so they constantly send us offers for Comp Rooms for 3 nights free.
Stayed at the Luxor for my first trip 10yrs ago and then again about 6yrs ago; found a cockroach in our room, which scared me to go back. I love the price and the amenities.
If you are in town to for business and need to drive to different places off The Strip, Luxor is a great place to stay since it's right at that 215 / 15 intersection.
Glad that they have renovated the Pyramid rooms. I have stayed in both tower and pyramid rooms. The indoor walkways are convenient to go to Mandalay Bay and Excalibur.
@@blueapple9077 Whichever is more up to date. Pyramid rooms though have the unique view in the hallways looking down and also riding the incline elevators.
@@Dept246 yes, thats what I was thinking about the pyramid rooms but every comment about the tower rooms made them seem like the nicer more up to date rooms...theres no way no ask for the most up to date rooms booking online so I ll wait to check in and ask the front desk...thanks for the advice👍
My wife and I stayed at the Luxor for the first part of our 2 stage honeymoon (the second was in Jamaica, which was incredible!!). Anyway, although the location isn’t ideal, we thoroughly enjoyed our room in the tower section. The staff was amazing, especially when they found out it was our honeymoon. We would definitely stay there again.
Thanks for all your vids...always great to watched and get HYPED before a vegas trip. Stayed at the LUXER for our honeymoon in vegas in 1995. Love going back there!
We stay at the Jockey Club. Full Livingroom, bedroom, and kitchen. Right by the Cosmopolitan. Perfect location on the strip. No casino or bar or restaurant, but it's like an apartment so well located.
Last time I stayed at the Luxor the blinds were wide open and the room was so hot with the AC on full blast. Instantly closed them the blinds for the room to cool down. Only thing I remembered from that room. Everything else I have always liked at the Luxor. The location of the hotel is great with everything around it....other then Excalibur.
Stayed there over 15 times, it's my home in Vegas..like you said its 10 minutes to New York..then walk through Park to tram it to Aria or Bellagio..all in about 15-20 minutes..super convenient for the price.. Also Pyramid Cafe is great for breakfast, and Tender Steakhouse is great for dinner(both in Luxor). Backstage deli is my goto at 5 or 6 am after gambling and drinking all night.. Love the Luxor! They always treat me like VIP there..
Thanks Im visiting las vegas in September and I got two comp nights at Luxor it helped me a lot watching your video now i know about happy hours lol thanks a lot again
The room you stayed at in the Tower was the Elite King and those have wet bar with mini fridge. An upgrade class of room. They have standard Kings in the Tower as well that don't have a fridge.
I got a sweet comp for my five night stay at Luxor next month with MLife. About $100 a night with resort fees from wed to monday. Can’t wait to be back in Vegas!🤩 First time I’m staying there and looking forward to it.
Discovered your channel this week and have been binging all your vids… you guys do a fantastic job showing off the city! I used to live in Vegas and even I am like “Oh wow I had no idea that casino had this!” Definitely makes me want to come back and see the sights more!
Big warning if you stay in the Pyramid on a holiday weekend: the inclinator elevators are slow and old. We are here on Labor Day weekend and it’s a disaster. Only three were working for our area. Long lines and long waits. When you did get one you were packed in like sardines. The ride was excruciatingly long and stopped at every single floor, each floor had long lines. The solution is to stay in a tower room. They have 6 modern fast elevators. No waiting. They let us switch to a tower room and it was just great, no waiting. For holidays or Raiders weekends stay in the tower!
Nice do-up on the Pointy Place. Used to be when you asked any employee a question like “Where’s the bathroom” they’d say “It’s a pyramid secret” before answering.
Great review, Ruby! I really like the Luxor, both to hang out in and to stay at, despite the location. The Bodies exhibition was really interesting. I stayed in a pyramid spa room a few years back - didn’t end up using the spa after being SO determined to get that particular room lol, but the room itself was really nice. Agreed though on those janky elevators 😂
nothing wrong with that room, always wanted to stay at the Luxor. Only other time I went to vegas we stayed at MGM in their "cheapest" room, which was about the size of my closet at home, and the bathroom was an open one, which I hated. Playing the tables is the easiest way for me to drink, I try never to "pay" for that when I'm at a casino (other than tipping the waitress)
...I have been watching alot of your Las Vegas hotel reviews...I find them to be great...Now , If I ever get back to Las Vegas. I'll have a great amount to view and make a great choice...Loved you 4 queens review..give my best to Mr. Ruby...
Was just there in October. Love the revamped rooms. Elevator is fine once you get uses to it but activating the floors with your keys was hit or miss. Room needs a fridge.
This is the first hotel I stayed in. Riding the inclanator to our suite with the living room and hot tub. The staff were fabulous. We didn’t’ t really eat there as whose other places to try. I would stay there again.
Last time we stayed at the Luxor the entire casino seemed grungy glad to see thing’s have changed.maybe if we go in the future we’ll give it a shot?nice video thank you.
Just came back from staying at Luxor. My 2 night stay was comp from myVegas play for the weekend at the Tower Room. All i paid was resort fee, parking, and early check in at about total of $80.
Thanks how helpful. You are such a free spirit, totally suited for this review. We stayed at Ceasars July of 22, and was disappointed with the fees for everything and no deals, poor service for such a highly rated Hotel, casino.
