Planet Hollywood is my favorite place to stay also. The location is awesome and even using Uber or taxi is easy and leads out onto a side street so you don't get stuck on the strip. Also love the cheap food at Miracle Miles. The table games are fun at PH. You should try more table games. I have not tried the pool yet but will see on the next trip.
I'm actually not sure why a cable channel/streaming service hasn't snatched up Travel Ruby yet. These are some of the best resort reviews out there; vegas and otherwise.
They could buy her up as a concept but once you have it on TV or produced by a larger entity things change. Not to mention if it doesn't work out she may not be able to pick back up on RU-vid immediately depending on contracting
My husband and I went to the kiosk to pay and get our key cards and there was a staff helping customers. I politely asked if we could request an upgrade. He said yes and just when we were about to pay… he said “don’t worry” and he gave us a free upgrade. We gave him a tip.
My husband and I were surprised with an awesome suite with 180 window view in honor of his retirement for standard rate. We thought it was an error when we walked up to the double doors - ran back downstairs with an extra tip for the kindness. Great memory - he passed 13 years ago💙
I am annoyed that hotels charge for something as basic as a lounge chair when they are already charging a resort fee. If I am enjoying the resort and have paid the fee I would think a place to sit by the pool should be included. I also think cabanas are overpriced. Not everybody drinks gallons of alcohol to meet the "minimum". It seems everything is getting super expensive. Another channel was at Harrah's recently and it was 33 dollars for a drink at the pool. I like to enjoy myself on holiday and save up all year. Pretty soon Las Vegas is going to price itself out of my reach.
There are a few decent deals near the downtown area but yeah the strip is highway robbery. I went to the aria in 2016 for 4 days 3 nights for $358 with resort fees (Thurs - Sun). I don’t wanna know the cost now.
I think Planet Hollywood is the best value hotel on the strip. Great rooms (even more upgraded rooms are a good value), fun vibe, lots of decently priced food options, shops, great location, etc. And if you want to get your fill of something fancier, it's an easy walk across the predestrian bridge to Cosmo or Aria. I always have a great time at this place.
Loved planet Hollywood when we stayed there. We asked for a strip view room at checkin and we could watch the fountains at the bellagio from our room . We were high enough up that we did not have an obstructed view by Paris.
I think this is the best bang for your buck hotel! This is the hotel I stay at when I travel alone because of the young party vibe. I highly recommend it for the overall value. Another great video Ruby!
Love your channel Ruby !!! We stayed at PH last week. Came in on a Monday. 3 hours early, short line to check-in. Slipped the guy a $20 got in our room w/ no early check-in fee and he gave us a upgrade. 23rd floor king overlooking the pools and Bellagio fountains. Room was clean, bed was super comfy, bath was huge. Great location. We will stay at Planet Hollywood again. Cheers
@@mikecastillo667 Mike there were individuals there helping people check in. The man that helped us was really nice. Gave him the 20 when I gave him my ID during check in.
Can’t say my experience was great here. My room was robbed, and after filing a report of it, they told me to wait up to 10 business days for an update. I call back 10 business days later, and they told me I NEVER FILED A REPORT. Ask the front desk for a manager and they kept stonewalling me. Seriously, fuck this place.
That pool situation is trash and I would never stay there during pool season! Really impressed with the basic room though! And PHo's location is incredible. The restaurant selection inside and adjacent and all the amenities of the Miracle Mile Shops can't be overlooked. I agree with you Ruby, the gaming selection on the floor is terrible!
I got a mega killer deal for a stay at PH in August. Staying from Sun - Thurs, all included, will be $68. Not per night, total for 4 nights. I'm fortunate enough to be Caesars Diamond (get the Wyndham business earner credit card) so I can bypass resort fees and parking, and not even check in should be an issue since I can use the Diamond line. Such a good deal, can't wait to go!
I stayed there just a week or so ago. My only drawback was I paid for a room with a Fountain View and it was obscured by the Balloon at Paris which (from my perspective) was right in the centre of the view and not worth paying extra. Other than that I thought it was excellent and I would stay there again.
I absolutely love Planet Hollywood. We went back in February 2020, right before the shutdown, and it was an amazing time. People watching and drinks at Cabo Wabo and a fancy dinner at the Bellagio. If I return to Vegas, I will likely stay at PH.
The check in process was a nightmare. Took over an hour with the long line of people all doing self check in and there was no PH employee minding the lines so there were a few line jumper who just wandered up to the far left and far right machines and bypassed the line.
The check in process is kind of weird because you do it by yourself and the machines are whack, BUT when I went their for my 21st idk what I was doing and thank god a PH employee came up to me and helped me and upgraded my room
Yes, for us too. We checked in on Sunday at around 5pm. It was packed. But after 6PM is was light. So maybe wait to check in....Before 4PM you will get charged an early check in fee.
We waited in a ridiculously long line at 4oclockish. I think we got there at peak. Room was above average. Cafe Hollywood was well below avg. Ramsey Burger was very good and reasonable. I don’t pool. Would stay again. Saw Chris Angel on prior trip, annoying self promotion.
Doesn't most of the Caesars properties in Vegas have a self check in kiosk? (I never see those with MGM - I think they prefer the mobile check in there)
Aww... see I'm a Vegas nerd who LOVES that view out of your room because you get to look down on the roof of the Zappos theater, which is the only remaining portion of the original Aladdin hotel building. From your hotel room, you can see how they built the miracle mile shops around the existing building. It's one of my favorite facts about that building. That theater is a big piece of Vegas history (The Aladdin Theater for the Performing Arts) and they not only preserved it, but they constructed an entire resort around it.
I stayed there in April....and crossed into the Paris pool (so much better and heated), showing my Planet Hollywood key card.....that should be added to your video.....Paris is right next door.
Planet Hollywood is great, for all the reasons you listed! Cabo Wabo Cantina is a must visit for us every time we go to Vegas. It's great any time of day and the location is awesome! And as you mentioned, the view/people watching is second to none on the patio area! Especially if you can get a shaded table along the railing.
Strange story. Stayed at Planet Hollywood a few years ago ( before the remodel) and in the bathroom, hanging on the wall, above the soaking tub was a picture/painting of Sir Anthony Hopkins wearing military garb and standing in a boat ( resembled the pictures that are of George Washington sailing in a boat) Every time we walked into the bathroom we were creeped out because his eyes seemed to follow you around the bathroom.
Planet Hollywood is our favorite. Wonderful newly remodeled rooms, great view, and the underground attached shops are awesome. Make sure to eat at La Salsa Cantina.
Stayed at PH in April 2021. Had this same room except my view was above the pool. The room was nice for the price however I hated having to walk through the MM shops with my luggage.
Planet Hollywood is one of my favorites in Las Vegas. Its slots room wowed me in amazement. The best restaurant in Planet Hollywood is, without question, Gordon Ramsay’s Burger Bar. When my younger brother surprised me on my 25th birthday in July 2021 that he would be going to Las Vegas with me, our aunt and our father in November 2021, I took him to the Burger Bar as a thank-you gift and we loved it there, since we’re both huge burger freaks. Since he’s not a gambling freak like I am, I’m probably never seeing him in Vegas again during my lifetime, so I’ll always cherish that moment
We stayed at Planet Hollywood before our wedding! We loved the cheap eats and the mall connected to the hotel. It was wonderful! Definitely more in our budget than the Venetian, which we stayed in one night for our honeymoon. We actually liked PH better for us.
It’s been a while since I’ve stayed at PH, and now I wonder why. Great place! Last time we had a Jr suite like you had before. Our view was the Bellagio fountains in between the air balloon and Eiffel Tower of Paris. Hard to beat!! Thanks as always Ruby!!
I stayed here last week for 4 nights comped ($52/night fees). Great hotel and casino, plenty of food options. Room was nice and clean, view was also parking garage. Pool was good, I never paid $30/chair for the pool (didnt know about this). We just took a chair next to the pool, no one said anything. Location was also great since its middle of strip across from Bellagio and Paris is right next door. Would definitely stay again (on comps only).
I think Planet Hollywood is the Perfect Location, Next to the Mall for Shopping, Next To Walgreens for Water and Snacks, and Right in the middle of strip. Also MGM properties Right Across the Casino too. Being a Caesars and MGM members it's perfect to play both places and not have to walk to far. 💯💯💯👍 #PlanetHollywood #LasVegas
We typically stay at Elara and enjoy the location. Lots of cheaper eats when we want those. Easy access to the strip using the Harmon exit when we want to drive for higher end meals. I still personally preferred the theming of the Aladdin to Planet Hollywood, but you can’t have everything.
Cabo Wabo looked like a fantastic place to chill to people-watch- one of our favorite things to do in Vegas,. The room looked terrific and wow, such a great location. Thanks for yet another wonderful video, Ruby. Love to live vicariously through you guys! Safe travels : )
I just came back from staying here 3 weeks ago! We came all the way from Scotland! I was in vegas to see Katy Perrys residency! I loved the hotel great location. I found a lot of my info from your channel so can’t thank you enough x
Your focus on location is correct . Much like the flamingo you don’t have acres of walking to get out on the strip. That’s really a big deal. At MGM I feel like I’m in a different time zone by the time I get to the strip from a room .
Planning a trip with friends coming from California, Missouri, Ohio and Germany! We're staying here (fountain view) and I've been devouring your RU-vid videos. We plan on going to the U2/Sphere concert, so we are budgeting hotel costs!
I love your channel, i have been binging on them for the last week now, i am coming to Vegas in September for the Mexican Independence weekend for the fight. This will be my third time in Vegas, I’m coming all the way from London UK. Las Vegas is my favourite place on earth! Ive stayed in the Palace Tower in Caesars last time (for 8 nights), again that was a fight week in September 2018.
Just subscribed to your channel, love that you review the cheapest room at each resort, the ones that 90% of the people stay in, you are becoming my favorite Las Vegas youtuber. Do you ever stay at any local casinos?
We just got back after staying at PH for 3nts during the week. The room was good. Food choices great. Pool was below avg. Table game mins were $15-$25 at night. Slot selection was not great. Our biggest complaint was parking. The self park is all the way in the back, about a 10-15 min walk to the lobby. Parking was $18 a night that was charged to the room bill. No complimentary parking for guests unless you are platinum and above. One huge bonus- PH is the first to have the new Live Craps Stadium Game. This was a crowd favorite and only $5 min.
@@WeLivinForLove The Typsy Robot is different. a robot makes you a pretty pricey drink. But for a good cheap meal, go to the Ocean One. Most of the restaurants inside Miracle Mile Shoppes have great drink specials- 3 for $10.
@@WeLivinForLove What's unique at PH is the new Live Craps stadium game. They are the first hotel in Vegas to introduce this game. At night it gets really fun when the whole place starts cheering for the shooter. Have fun!!
My first hotel stay in Vegas was PH! GREAT place to be! FYI on the weekends the BJ table at the pool is min $10 bet so it’s a great place to play cards and drink in the sun!
That porch overlooking the Strip is a great people-watching spot, but for my money, the best people watching spot in Vegas is at the Kings Court Bar, 4 Queens, simply because when the big side door is open, it looks out onto Fremont Street, and the freaky people factor of Fremont dwarfs the Strip. Both are good spots.
PH was my go to because of the location, Earl of Sandwich, and the MM Shops. I moved on my last trip to Vegas because I had the worst neighbors ever! But it’s such a fun vibe down in the casino area.
Stayed at Planet Hollywood only once. But plenty of eating options like Earl of Sandwich, Gordon Ramsay Burger, Pin Up Pizza, P.F. Chang’s, plus more restaurants in the Miracle Mile Shop.
Another amazing video. Your vid’s have taken on a sort of everyman quality that makes them approachable. Editing again is fantastic. Thank you for your hard work. I appreciate being able to live vicariously through your Vegas adventures.
Thank you Ruby so much you helped me with my decision for PH our first time coming to Las Vegas🥰 Your videos are amazing and so helpful subscribing right now to ur channel🤩 thx again 💕
I love Planet Hollywood! I have stayed there 5 or 6 times and will be going back soon. They also have cheap drinks at the ABC store right of the strip entrance.
Good vidéo.....je suis Français, j'étais déjà à Planet hollywood 🤩j'ai adoré, plein centre du Strip... restaurants ,bars ,magasins....Perfect good price ...
Great job Ruby. I have stayed at PH two or three times and I agree the location is fantastic with all the things that are just a few steps away. And Earl of Sandwich is just so convenient.
Love your energy Ruby I have been watching your channel for. Year and I’m finally going to Vegas for my 63rd Birthday so excited there is 1 thing it would be helpful if for older people like me me where to get a scooter if needed or senior discounts etc
