I had worked for a short time for Kmart as an assistant manager when I was desperate for work. I had a college degree from a well respected university and 3 years as an army officer working with civilians and supervising 45 civilians already. I didn't see any managers who were "executive material." They were all cow college people who landed a crappy job and just stuck with it fir 25 years, never taking the steps to earn their MBA or other professional degrees that would allow them to grow into a much better position. Thr entire Kmart organization was incompetent. In the mid 1980s Kmart was bigger than Walmart and dominated the low end retail market. But Kmart didn't have any vision or focus, allowing Walmart to overtake and eat their lunch. Instead of re-investing their earnings back into stores to update and brighten the physical facilites, they let stores deteriorate and run down into oblivion. Instead of focusing in building the low end retail business, the CEO mismanaged their corporate focus. You can see the low end people they hired as managers.

Where I am, they quit having Walmarts stay open all night, which I really miss because I used to work nights and it was convenient to get something on the way home if I needed it. Has some real fnaf vibes.. Great story!

That's funny, because as soon as I heard about the white floor and yellow hallway, my immediate thought was, "of course Walmart would lead to the backrooms." I hadn't even thought about the infinite IKEA, but I see that too. 😆

@@Wraice619 the infinite ikea is actually an SCP. It is SCP-3008. Which is supposedly the 3009th level of the backrooms. I totally agree if there was ever a place that leads to the backrooms it would definitely be thru a Walmart

In 2005, I worked for Walmart in Vista California, and it was most definitely haunted. There were two small children who used to play sometimes in the garden center, especially if music was being played. I would often see evidence of a mischievous boy who would play tricks; leaving dirty footprints on the wall, changing the signage, removing socks/ pantyhose from pegs...etc. There was a shadow man. He would bump or shake our ladders. Sam was the only one to fall ( a short distance. Last 2-3steps). The rumor was the location had been built over Indian burial mound . Not sure if that was true. However I did receive settlement pay for being locked in Walmart overnight

(locked in Walmart) overnight? Where I live Walmart used to be 24 hours open (in the early 2000's). Then people proved to be to much of a "wild ass", and they started keeping an (open, close) times.

Last time i tried, when i came out my hiding space i knocked over a cup that looked like sludge..when i looked up i saw a raging, spitting, drooling Goblin running at me with rage in his eyes..as i ran it was like the disgusting drooling Goblin was right behind me..i started hearing what kinda sounded like Linkin Park but it was so bad my ears were hurting..i ran full sprint out..ill never go back to the Walmart in Akron

Broken elevator music.....oh...... The room with the Walmart suits reminds me of a scene in a movie.....but I can't remember the name Poor Bobby..... I'm glad the narrator managed to get Booby out as well. And I hope there's a follow up.....does the narrator convince people about Walmart? Have there been other survivors? Why does the Walmart become a death trap after hours?

Before covid, when Walmart was open 24/7, the only time to go shop there was 3am. No crowd whatsoever and the stockers were putting out fresh products

I'm about halfway through and I'm loving it so far. The story has a somewhat similar premise to the Chick-fil-A sauce video by Meat Canyon. At least the whole "store is closed at night and a person wanders into a section of the store that definitely shouldn't be there only to find weird, once-human creatures in Chick-fil-A uniforms are inhabiting the halls."

I'm one of the licensed opticians at my store. There have been some weird & strange things happen in the vision center. Before when I was a "zoner" items would "fall" of the shelves. Sometimes things looked as if they were jumping up & off the shelves. I got more but I have throughly enjoyed this!

Overnight maintenance and stocking at Walmarts with those shifts can be unnerving which is probably why it pays more. Sometimes we overnighters hear thing that aren't there or see transparent figures but of course some people call me crazy so I don't really talk much to people about it anymore. Though it could just be the analog horrors I listen to before work.

The only anomaly that happens at the Walmart I frequent in Maine is that for a long time, the concrete poles marking the ends of the rows (closest to the store) kept getting hit by cars. The only weird thing my daughter and I ever experienced at a Walmart in Maine was that an entire isle in the kitchen section completely disappeared. We walked back and forth for almost a half hour and could not find this isle. Then we finally did, got what we were looking for and left. I did a few overnight stocking and prodict moving at a Walmart in Kentucky. Never experienced anything nor have I ever heard of any weird experiences. My husband worked at a Walmart in Maine overnights and he never experienced anything.
