Surprised nobody has commented yet about me falling right on my ass at 11:36, you people are too nice lol. I'm off to my next trip, and can't wait to show you everything in January! But another video will be coming sooner than you think, and it's a little different...

Great addition with the netting on back. I did that too and I would suggest adding some velcro to the sides to keep the neeting close to the van sides. When the wind blows, it will push the netting into the van and allows bugs to get in.

That in-channel upgrade was clutch for my ride, although it was a tad tougher to get them to "sit" than I thought they'd be.

Luckily mine were easy, even if it had been a bit of a struggle, overall I would still be glad I did in-channel cause I like the look of them more! Plus I feel like they’re more secure than the over-the-window kind haha

I put off the tires for soooo long until my friend @asthemagpieflies said my plan of keeping the tires on would be totally fine. Everything always intimidates me until I just get started!

So true! It's a constant process of making improvements! I did the exact same magnet bug screens on my van also, and It makes day time naps really nice! The window guards are something I also need to do! ✌🏻

Your work looks great! Look into fluid film, itll help your van not get salted to death

It never really ends. I have a 22 foot travel trailer that have added new items to and haven't even taken it out for a road trip yet. I have a Chevy Express van also with new additions and it hasn't gone on an outing yet either. I recently bought a "new to me" 4wd 4Runner that I added a lot of stuff to and it's my new toy. Did I say it never ends? Edit: I've had great success with "rust encapsulating" paint.

Ooh good to know about the paint! Also jealous about the 4Runner, fun! Hahah….the new series I’ve been filming will embody ‘it never ends’ for sure 🤫

love it! but what i want to know is where did you buy the swivel seat, up here in Canada is almost impossible to find swivels for a savana 😢
@LindsayDaly
@LindsayDaly 10 месяцев назад
So I believe this is the exact model of swivel I got for my van shop4seats.com/van-seats/van-seat-bases/96-gmc-chevy-swivel-plate-factory.html however, in hindsight I would have ideally gotten one of the ones with a hole in the middle, but they don't seem to make them for Chevys? At least not that I could find. I do actually use the swivel though, haha, but I have to unplug the airbags when I do it, and reconnect them when I want to drive, so it is a bit inconvenient lol. I'll talk about it more in an upcoming video on the road! Ultimately I do like having the swivel plate setup with my configuration, but it's a bit of a PITA to set up. I'd rather have it than not, I suppose!

Looking really cool. Ignorant question from me through - is there a risk of rust on the reverse of the wheel rims? Sort of occurred to me that you have protected the outeard facing part but cant easily treat and spray the other side. (Though i know even less about these things than someone wearing your fine hat)
@LindsayDaly
@LindsayDaly 10 месяцев назад
No haha you’re totally right! But it would have involved taking them off the car and un-seating the tires from the rims and that was a risk I wasn’t willing to take 😬 it’s mainly surface rust anyhow so it is mostly cosmetic, but i suppose at some point I should maybe get comfortable with taking a tire off this thing just in case…🔧
