IT'S FINALLY HERE! yes I have finally dropped this damn value video lol took me long enough. I had a lot of fun during this time and would totally do it again! but maybe I'd take it a little slower next time... anyways hope you guys enjoy the video!! gonna be talking about that Maki artwork I teased in my last video soon!!!
absolutely! i started using cast shadows more even in just my sketches, and it can help with composition and framing soooo much. it’s a fun way to make pretty much any drawing more interesting
Dude, you definantly deserve more attention for the quality of art that you make. Keep doing what you do, and I'll look forward to more from you in the future!
Yoooo that's a great video ! Beginner artist here, and I'm trying to get better at this too .Ahah it's just soooo hard but it's art so we should not give up ! I think it's cool that you talk about all of these struggles, and what you learn, like for instance, the lasso tool (wich I still don't know how to use ahah cuz I'm lazy and don't want to watch/ read Krita tutorials). This video makes me wanna study some more !
@@countryisntgold Yeah. It's ok to take a break sometimes. I guess when it's not a hobby it's different but still. It's important to enjoy what we do. To draw "silly stuff".
I'm catching this video way late, but I added it to a joint playlist I have with a friend called "based art videos", if that tells you anything about I felt about this video. At the time of leaving this comment, I don't know where to get the minnesota and airbrush brushes yet, where did you get those? I love the way they look (I use csp too). Also congrats on your progress! Some of the stuff you drew here blew me away, and I can't wait to harness even a fraction of your skill level, but I have a LONG way to go. 😅
Thank you!!! and hey your art is great keep working hard! I'm glad you liked the video, as for my brushes i actually have no clue where to find the minnesota brush. I was personally given it but I could send it over to you! And I'm actually just using the basic csp airbrush
Minosota brush is gifted by Airi Pan to students of her course FoolProof Concept painting on schoolism, which I took and I can strongly recommend. It may seem bit advanced and intimidating, but I think even beginners can get a lot out of it, so I strongly recommend it (and you get brush pack this brush is part of :3, but really, any textured brush will do the job here, it doesn't have to be this one)
Should I try to learn to draw? (Genuine question) I often see art videos like this, or cool animations and really wish I could draw (I cant draw for shit atm, whenever I try its pretty damn discouraging). With AI on the rise and the fact that I also have no way to do digital art (no drawing pad or photoshop), I feel kinda stuck as to whether to try and dive into it or to not. Idk kinda lost on this, curious if you might have any input as a growing artist.
great question, I would say... YES! - it is definitely tough starting out, bc everyone wants their art to be good but obviously they don't have the skills yet lol it's a matter of practice, and most importantly having FUN. draw what you like!! use reference (it's not cheating)!! - I'm an avid AI hater but honestly I just ignore that stuff and continue drawing (we can't really do much about it lol but there's no need to be gloomy over it 👍 do what you love! even if ai is kinda getting scary 😳 ) - rn for you art would be a hobby, so take your time and enjoy the process! (plzzz take ur time, don't think ur in a rush to catch up) - for digital art, there are free softwares to use like Krita (im 99% sure this is a free). Though even if you don't have access to a drawing tablet, you can use your phone or tablet! I've seen plenty of ppl draw like this (but definitely try to save up! there are good, not too expensive ones on amazon, like from wacom/huion) in the end, i recommend watching some beginner artist vids, and figuring out what you wanna draw and remember, you have nothing to lose by trying to learn!! hope my advice helps 😊
@@countryisntgold I mean yeah it is I remember viewing berserk when my friends demanded me too and it was hell of a struggling torture anyway I like guts so much and draw him in my sketch book
WOW!! this is the most refreshing art content I've seen in so long. It's so nice to see something more authentic, and relatable, that it actually motivated me to practice. I loved!!!! this sm!! Thank you!!!!!
this is great man, definitely seeing the improvement and just remember that you can’t make art you love until you make a wholeeee lot of art you hate! the way you’re reaching out and talking to a lot of artist is super cool and it’s clearly making a big difference, also we use a bunch of the same reference pictures haha, god bless pinterest ‼️
Great work with this! You really can see the improvement throughout the video and you have an amazing attitude towards learning. I'd recommend squinting when you look at your references if you fall into the struggle with details again, this will force you to see the values in larger blocks! Best of luck !
