As someone who has star ranked all eight piano songs the best thing you can do is adjust your speed and keep the left notes in your peripheral vision. If you can keep a decent beat all you need is to be able to see the blue sections of the note and you can feel out when to play the note. Two Legs operates on an almost exclusive 1-2-3 beat sync structure where you’ll play one note on the right, one on the left, and the next will be synced. Being light and fast on your sticks also helps immensely. As soon as you hit a note let the stick go back to the middle and get ready to hit the next note. Also, switching to a higher note speed will decrease your likelihood of hitting good/bads in exchange for a higher chance of missing. I found note speed 2 or 3 was a good sweet spot in terms of speed and not overwhelming your eyes with information.
That's nuts to me that you star ranked it. I tried every speed personally and I was terrible at everything but less terrible on slowest. I'm dyslexic and have to plan out my button presses in advance. Too fast I'm just useless. Thanks for your tips and well done on such a hard to do achievement
So for me, I noticed that actually making it go faster helped, because my brain wanted to hit the patterns quickly, and waiting for them to come through was messing up my timing, so I sped it up a little bit, and my accuracy improved greatly. That may not work with everyone but something I noticed, because my fingers were really jumpy, so allowing them to not sit still for so long was a huge difference. Most of the songs I did pretty quickly, I S ranked them all, so I sat there and restarted every time I messed up lol 😂, but then when I got the battle theme I noticed my controller had either sensitivity issues or drift because it was hitting notes I wasn’t pressing and so I still haven’t completed that one

I “A” ranked Two legs last night, took me just shy of an hour. For this one I had the note speed on the lowest setting. The rhythm section where it goes, both, left:right, both, left:right was my demise for many attempts. What finally worked for me was mathing the shit out of it, 170 great notes and 20 bad/misses was the bar I set for myself. Skipping the left notes is not an option but missing 1 or 2 to ensure I hit the 10 note circle combo is worth the risk. I would still attempt to hit the note because if I can at least get a bad timed noted it won’t penalize me with a -30. Great videos, Thank you for the great FF7R content!
I’m going to highly recommend something that helped me get perfect on Tifa’s and Aerith’s themes. I noticed you having the same problem as well. Most of your ‘good’ notes you are getting good instead of great because you’re hitting them too early, as was I. My recommendation then is that after practicing and learning the notes and pattern on speed 1, bump up the note speed to speed 2 (maybe 3, but I did it at 2). It might sound counterintuitive, but having the notes slightly faster helps with playing them on time.
Yeah that does work for a lot of people but I'm really dyslexic and I have to think about what I'm going to do before I do it and speeding up the notes even after memorization negatively impacts me personally but it makes total sense for most and I appreciate you sharing
Congratulations on getting through that song. It was also the biggest hurdle to me, and ultimately my pathway to success was similar to you. I could not read the notes the way they were alternating between left and right. I had to watch a youtube video on slow speed and press along, focusing on one hand at a time and then tried to pull it together to get a successful run. Congrats again!
Man even Jules' sit up challenge didn't make me pull my hair out like this song did. It's almost as hard as trying to play Through the Fire and Flames by DragonForce on expert in Guitar Hero.
with any rhythm game, memorization is king. i sucked at this part, but memorizing the parts i messed up got me through. almost just like learning a real instrument.
It's crazy. I tried this once when the demo came out and I avoided it throughout the first playthrough. Finally ripped off the band-aid yesterday and one-shotted all of them except for Two Legs. Thought I'd be on this for days but I blasted through it in maybe an hour with no practice. Wasn't easy at all so this is a mystery
Great video, one advise i can give that worked for me, is do it with someone else, one focusing on the left stick and other on the right, with that i manage to do the hardest song on the third try
The final stage of what I like to call "helicopter parent simulator". You do great but it is never good enough. My main issue was stick flick, when the stick goes back to neutral and over corrects the game registers an input on the other side of the wheel causing a miss. Still only low B rank with it but gotta keep playing till I make it.

This game and the shooting gallery are my least favorite parts of Rebirth. I have found that switching the game to performance mode (60fps) made it easier for me, though I have yet to make a platinum attempt
Dude I had written off getting the Plat because of this song. I haven't gotten A rank yet on it but your video gives me some hope. My current best score is 17260 and my main issue is that I am completely incompetent on the left side when I focus to get all the notes to a "great" score on the right side. I see that a note is generated on the left sida and then it moves out of my peripheral vision and I just have to wing it on the timing. I am currently need to remember that most of the left side is just tree notes that repeat (down left, up right, up) during part 2 and 4. I am getting 90% of all my misses on part 2. So if I can do good on the left part on that one I should be good. Also I noticed that I functioned best on Note speed 2. I precieved that the notes and the song was better synced up if you get what I mean. And I can hit some notes by rythm instead of visually. It felt a little bit off sync on Note speed 1 where I sometimes get "good" intead of "great" note scores.
I actually found it easiest to try it on the faster speeds. Managed to get A the first time I attempted it on note speed 4. It just moves so fast (and I guess the input latency and maybe the minigame design itself is broken enough) that you're more likely to get a great on a note for flicking the analog the moment your mind registers a note is coming, versus trying to hit it perfectly while it moves so slowly on slower speeds. So yeah, definitely give it a shot on faster speeds, it might work for you better. Also test it at 30fps vs 60fps, you never know what works better for you with these minigames, because the frog jumping minigame was just ever so slightly more forgiving at 30fps.
@@UltKaizoku I've tried all the speeds and Speed 4 is just a blur to me, missed nearly all the notes. Reaction speed is down the drain after a full day of work and being a father of 2 kids. I used to play fighting games competetively so I know how bad my reactions are now compared to back in the day when I blasted fighting games non stop. I've already put in a few hours trying to get A rank and I definately feel Speed 2 is the best for me.
