A few weeks ago I did a giveaway on my Instagram live for a used Veto tool bag. Turned out the winner is a local hvac tech. When I first started working in the HVAC field the tools were so expensive and I just wished I had someone to help me get tools I was still young and I asked my grandmother and she bought my first set of gauges for me which were digital but I really wanted them. To see someone help someone else with their tools is just amazing Blessings!!!Brings Back Memories!!!

Awesome give away, glad to see someone helping the community like this in the states. Side note, i notice you went to a truck cap and a decked system. I've been rocking the decked system for about a year and just finally added the cap. There is a product called bedslide which is a platform that pulls all the way out from the bed for access of whats on top that i cant recommend enough for this set up. i installed mine and its life changing for this set up. Cool thing about it is they sell brackets to bolt right to the decked platform, holds up to 1,000 lbs fully extended. If you check that out you likely wont regret it!

How it’s been going is I Been riding with 1 guy the majority of my time here so far. I ask questions and it’s like I said something offensive to them. Then they say I don’t ask any questions along with that we get to certain calls they mostly leave me by myself on Maintenance calls I’ve gotten very comfortable with those but the service work it’s like hit or miss on me actually being trained or just being there to help. My dad has his own company and I’ve worked there part time it’s mostly residential. I’ve went on a call for him to change out a transformer and did it less than 10 mins. Nobody really ask me any of those questions besides saying hello in the mornings. I have rode with the other guys here but they don’t let me really do much either. Idk if it’s being done on purpose if people here are tired of me having to go to school on don’t want to drive back and forth for me to get to my car everyday or what. Only thing I’ve been asked is to take the trash out every morning which I do without asking and to add ice to everyone cooler on there trucks. I mean I know I have to work my way up but I don’t think I’m fully being used it’s things I know and want to do also a lot I want to learn and grow from so I can confidently take over my fathers business. I’ve since put my notice in to work somewhere else I been disrespected and my hours have been cut. And all this week instead of having me work my notice out they say its not necessary for me to work so I’ve been with no work all besides school. Need help with this situation

A lot of us in the trade have dealt with the same type of issues early on unfortunately. To be honest some of the older guys are threatened by the new guys. Especially the ones who aren't as knowledgeable as they should be for the time they've been doing this. My advice would be to just learn as much as you can off the clock reading books, watching expert vids on RU-vid, taking classes and any other ways. Hang in there and good luck!
