Honestly, I feel sorry for the plague doctor. In his mind he is just trying to help cure the pestilence, and the very humanity that he is trying to save are the ones containing him.
He's kind of sadistic tho. And I got a feeling he understands what he does to the bodies, he knows he doesn't care them. Just like right up on the interviews it gives that feeling
The Plague Doctor is one of the most level minded scps and I'm surprised he hasn't been used to do work for the foundation. Although "Curing the pestilence" as he calls it may be his main goal, he seems to rather enjoy other scientific work. Is there truly no way that he could help the foundation?
I think a big issue is that the fundation already played their cards with him wrong. Even if they started to treat him better, I doubt he would want to cooperate with them if he does not believe to get closer to his goal from it... Something the Fundation well demonstrated they have no interest in letting happen.
In regards to that, he may perceive foundation personnel, whether that be researchers, agents, or security guards, as having the pestilence, kill them, then turn them into zombies, which would inevitable cause some problems.
he has! in a scenario in which death is no more, scp-049 fell into depression after the 'main ingredient of his cure' stopped working (death, although he won't admit it). This led to his assigned psychiatrist to suggest moving him to work in the med bay so he could feel a sense of purpose. That sort of worked too. So although it's not the 'canon' setting, the foundation isn't all against him!
It's truly nice to see an SCP character go through so much growth over the years. The Plague Doctor who was one of the most feared anomalies has become the most peaceful and somewhat caring. Despite his touch of death.
now i'm starting to wonder if scp 049 becomes an scp foundation researcher how will things go of course with some rules like not allowed touching other resachers but he can stay in the same lab with other resarchers and doctors maybe zombies he creates will be useful because zombies takes his orders so example with this instead of other guards the same guards reanimated and throwed scp 682 to contain it again this will be make cheaper also scp 49 can survive events where humans can't so he can work and search some scps that humans cant study due the nature of that scp and he can even study much more closer and detail of that scp and probably loyal to scp foundation this make great video like my 100 days as a scp researher (ı write wrong probably :D) like this comment if you wonder to scp 49 is one of the scp ı like and love 49 realy look cool thanks for 12 likes :>
I REALLY wish this would work but it couldn't. He is a proud doctor and wouldn't really accept any "training" or any digression from his quest. While I imagine he would be helpful and pretty cool to work around... he would do things his way. Plus... we have no guarantee that other deadly SCP's can't hurt him and I'd rather not find out.
@@devinclark6212 1.okay maybe staying far away better some scp more likely use human weakneses to kill like starvation or how much can you run vb. thats why ı think this idea also we can see that 49 can "cure" 96 atleast for a short time so he can do somethings without getting killed okey maybe that video is not be cannon but shows that 49 have some technics
Loved this story i really like the spiritual grow the plague doctor went through i thought that one part was funny royalty free horror music also the plague doctor should get an achievement for evading the foundation for 100 days
The SCP foundation is either very incompetent or had another problem or problems to deal with that caused the delay because it should not have taken them that long to find him, especially after he turned someone into a zombie. Word of that should have gotten to the foundation.
I got a theory that the Plague Doctor he cured the Great pestilence which is the daybreak after he's put through the clockworks on very fine (I mean that would work he can almost cure it now with an upgrade he could cure it) and after he does the foundation deletes everybody's memories including his including their own and put some back for the clockwork removing his new powers. And then his memory somewhat returns but all broken up and he searches the world for the great pestilence. Until the Day Break happens again and he comes up with the cure again after getting upgraded again. Getting his memory deleted again and downgraded again in an eternal cycle. Another possibility is that he is trying to cure the tortured Dead who are rotting in the grave. He's trying to revive them so they no longer suffer and starve the psychic entity that traps people in that after life and free them by starving it to death. It's even possible the both these theories could be right. ;)
about the pestilence i think its related to scp 5000 the thing the scp foundation was trying to get rid of pain what does 049 "cure" do make zombies that cant feal pain plus his cure is unfinished and the thing about scp 5000 is refered to as a pestilence what do yall think of this
If I am ever in a room with the plague doctor, I'll tell him "NO TOUCHIES", on the condition I have a pistol to come with...... If all goes well, I've just had a 6 hour conversation about pizza....... For funnies
I enjoyed the Story. Yes I feel bad for him, he is not a bad guy. He just wants to help. Even if it isn't real. The Plague Doctor is my favorite SCP. These are my favorite videos.
The good Doctor is clearly an intelligent man trying to help....so i wonder what would happen if the SCP took this approach - State to him that medicine is ever changing. He's been around for a long time now. Let him know that accepted medical professionals live by the oath to never harm a person. Just show him, and maybe he can be reasoned with. If he can accept the changes, maybe then the SCP can work with him to figure out what the pestilence is. He's been unwilling to explain, but maybe he needs to be shown that we are in his side(helping people). I wonder what would happen if we appealed to his nature?
The plague doctor is surely someone like me. Just, I’m not a doctor but I have the formal language like him and I’d love to be a plague doctor on Halloween
Would scp 096 be able to break through a room with a class-d inside? What if scp 159 was attached to the room with the class-d inside? Would that mean scp 096 wouldn't be able to break through?
During day 18 I actually forgot that 049 was a dangerous scp because he actually seemed to fit in I feel like that would be a good life for him if he wasn't contained by the scp foundation
why the hell does Dr jack bright think he can just get away with everything he does if I was in charge of what to do with him I'd just lock him in his room whenever he's not needed save everyone the trouble of being tormented by him
If 049 could control the killing touch, I feel like, if he didn’t want to “cure” someone, he’d be a safe class, or at least something in between safe and Euclid
Classes are not determined by how dangerous an SCP is, but rather by how hard it is to contain, an example is 096 being Euclid, closer to safe than keter really, because it is not known how kany picture of it are in the world
If this was a tv show, I'd watch it. Sounds like an incredibly good plot for a show. A drama mainly starring 049 on his journey to find a place to stay, every once and awhile having to leave to find a new location
Funny thing is after watching that one episode about why the foundation went into genocidal mode it finally made it clear to me what the pestilence is, it's the thing that keeps us from truly dying, the reason why everything dies after he touches them is because true death can't be achieved without it, and as for why he turns you into a zombie well that's probably to rationalize what his doing, he is a doctor after all.
if i remember this correctly although the new cannon might've changed this but it was stated that 049 can shake people's hands and can touch others without killing them and this is because his attire is actually his skin an his mask is his face. so what he does to kill something is he secretes a substance from his skin (probably some sort of toxin that enters the blood flow thru skin contact) and that stops the living beings heart. but he only uses the toxin on those who he perceives as a threat, those he sees as being inflicted with the pestilence, or to those that are his patients.
You know, that renfair was probably the only time we hear mention about 049 potentially describing the outwardly visible symptoms of the pestilence to other ppl.
6:25 man didnt even react 8:50 oh god this is the same 049 that kills people without hesitation if he detects the pestilence. 10:00 no don't do that no
Foundational breaches are intentional----- Due to the fact that the foundation does not rely on automatic backup generators, multiple path wiring layouts, or the simplest of all cell doors that don't automatically become useless the moment they no longer have power... Ie; any other physical design to make the doors as secure as the walls at very least... This of course would prevent most common SCP from escaping, leaving only the technologically trapped ones able to breach.... For this reason and this reason alone it is obvious that breaches are in actuality designed to occur. Perhaps by those higher up on the totem, looking to experiment with foundational sites and staff. That or writers have no choice but to write in these painful flaws, simply for the sake of keeping the story going. I'd prefer the former rather than the latter.
a year late but its been confirmed already that bullets have no effect on him, the foundation had already attempted to shoot him on occasions and the bullets while they made contact they didnt cause him bodily harm which is why they sedate him with sleeping agents because that works to neutralize him. 049 is not a murderer tho he doesn't kill with the intent to do harm or receive a twisted pleasure, he only kills out of self defense or self preservation if he feels threatened, or if he is under alot of agitation. only in the Doctor Hamm incident did he murder someone but afterwards he was remorseful an felt guilty over what he had done.
You know what? I would actually love to see what happens when multiple Scp escape the foundation and instead of separating they actually decide to stick together and help each others out.
poor SCP 049 he really try everything to stay out of troubles he just wanna be free like any other humans beings he wanna see sunlights shining over him and breathe fresh nature airs, and it's adorable how he make friends out there and how he love spending times with them especially with little girl I bet she miss her bird person friend it's very adorable ❤️ and why can't scp foundation just let SCP 049 what he wanna be can't they at least let him go out for few times instead of just locking him in darkness he's also a living being man sure they keeping him in to be safe from his dangers but give him some his satisfactions too if they can't give him some subjects to do his work at least let him be free outside for a little at least let him go out a walk or something for once in a day or a week he deserves it he just trying to help people sure he turning everything into living zombies but that's what his talent is maybe if scp foundation need more army or something they can use his living zombies to help out a little to capture other scp creatures maybe? I feel bad for SCP 049 if he came to me instead I would welcome him with pleasure and give him anything he wants of course there will be some limits... I feel stupid saying these like an idiot but I just wanna say it out lol and saying things like that like if Scp 049 was real in real life lol
only a 100 day? i have hidden from the scp foundation for months. but 049 is a pretty wel known scp, and i havent even been discovered yet. so i guess its impressive for the doctor
049 has to be my favorite anomaly of them all i just wish he got more wins against other anomalies. Maybe a 1 v 1 with Able is in order. Love you guys.
