It doesn’t, I think he downloaded the new textures for free from the store. I’ve recently revisited my old 3DS survival world, and it still had the old textures.

I just enjoy the nostalgic feeling and the uniqueness this version offers. I play Java as well on my own time, but I like to focus on this version exclusively for videos on my channel because next to no one out there makes content on it anymore and I just want to keep recognizing this version by making videos on it.

As a Terraria player i can say that, despite having Terraria on PS4, PC and Mobile i still play the 3DS version most. A lot of things are missing, but there's something "magic" about playing these games on a 3DS. Terraria have some exclusive content too, so it's still "worth" getting the game. I'm planning to get Minecraft on my new2DS, because, despite Minecraft 3DS hasn't unique stuff, It really feels different, Just like Terraria.

The most hilarious part is I had those first three versions for years before I had the 3ds version and didn't so much as touch them, but I got the 3ds version about two months ago and I've put like 40+ hours into it.

No, I am playing on my system. I just downloaded texture packs to my system for in game use. (It replaces an existing one) you have to hack your 3DS system to download them.

You have to have a hacked system in order to add textures. You basically just download the texture that you want, then add it to your systems SD card via a computer.

This might be a hot take, but Minecraft for 3DS is better than Minecraft for Nintendo Switch simply because the 3DS Edition was made by 4J Studios, but the Switch Edition isn't.

dom you know the best way to find enderman in the 3ds edition i cant find a village in my world so i cant trade for ender pearls i need help i have like 25 blaze rods and 0 ender pearls

Finding enderman is quite difficult and there really isn’t a good method to finding them. Playing in hard mode helps, and just going out at night killing all mobs you find helps as the mob cap in this version is pretty low so killing all mobs you see highers the chance of enderman spawning. Even then though, it is pretty rare when the actually spawn.

Why did you record this differently because normally you screen record the 3DS but this time it seemed like you were using an external camera or something.

This was recorded using an external camera pointed at my actual 3DS system. I did this because I did attempt to do this using the Citra emulator at first, but it just kept crashing and was not a very smooth experience. I then tried the bootNTR method, which was better, but chunks load so slowly and due to the extensive amount of exploration I needed to do, it wouldn't of worked either. So, that left me with recording my 3DS with a camera as my only option unfortunately.

does your DS have the joystick that requires pressure instead of moving the joystick to turn your camera? because your camera movement is surprisingly smooth if your DS does have that joystick

Yes, all new 3DS models have the joystick that requires pressure but I replaced mine with a PSP joystick cap that adds lots of extra grip which is why my camera movements are much smoother.

Did you accidentally turn on “always day”? I would check your world settings. Click on “load existing world” and click on the pencil (don’t enter the world) and see if always day is checked.

why does your 3ds crash a lot? edit: is it corrupted game data or overheating questions: witch version of mcpe is like 3ds version?

It was mainly due to the map item existing in the chest I was trying to open in the stronghold. The map item is not technically supposed to exist in this version since it is always there on the bottom screen so the game crashes because it doesn't know how to handle the map item being there. The MCPE discovery update is most similar to the latest version of MC3DS.

Are you referring to the fact that I did a voiceover on my footage? If so, most, if not all 100 days videos are recorded in that way. If you are talking about the way I recorded this video, filming the screen as it is was the only way I can record this video. 3DS capture cards are expensive and very hard to find, and using an emulator is very unstable and will not work for fast paced exploring.

Yeah, I did try to properly capture this video but the emulator kept crashing because I’m doing lots of things quickly which the emulator doesn’t like (which is why I only use it for my skyblock series) and for my regular series, I use a wireless capture software which works fine for let’s plays, but when going to different dimensions it doesn’t work well. It’s just really complicated to record this version consistently and well sadly. I just wish it was easier and more stable.

I am using my actual system to play and I am recording it using my phone. That’s why the fps is very steady as I am not using any capture software or emulator.

It’s just luck based pretty much. The glitched portal seems to be a common issue however most strongholds usually have a non glitched one in my experience

I do not use controller redirection. I point my camera in a way where it captures both screens of the system, and I still play the 3ds as normal. I just have to reach around the camera while playing.

@@Kattsunee No problem! I believe they made a physical cart for the game in the UK but you would be better off getting it digitally. However, if you are, make sure you do it before March 2023 as Nintendo is shutting down the Eshop on the 3DS.

3DS capture cards can cost several hundreds of dollars, sometimes upwards of $1,000+ I do not want to spend that much money on something that won't get much use
