I Survived 100 Days of SCP-001 When Day Breaks... Here's What Happened 

As a UK resident, I can speak for all UK residents when I say we would all easily survive When Day Breaks as we haven’t seen the Sun for 86 years

It's pretty awful to realize that this is actually the _good ending._ At the very least, being ripped to shreds or _hopefully_ eaten by 682, Kyle was one of the exceedingly rare people who recieved the mercy of permanent death

Am I the only one that's hoping for a pretty decently made survival game of this? I honestly think it's cooler than surviving zombies since zombies have been kinda overdone, and there's not enough Fallout-like games.

i have to say i am personally LOVING how there are starting to be named characters outside of scp staff. its such a fun way to show these SCPs through the eyes of a person that isnt part of staff. and gives a more human understanding

SCP-001 is an anomalous RU-vid channel that, through unknown means, has access to highly classified information on the Foundation, and releases videos containing said information on a daily basis. Attempts to redact or remove this channel have failed. SCP-001-A is the host of this channel, whom has evaded foundation capture, and identification.

How to survive day breaks: Shout “I DO NOT CONSENT” The Sun and it’s Ex-human minions can’t legally harm you without your consent.

There's one glaring issue with all of this, primarily related to him going out at night all willy nilly. The SCP-001 When Day Breaks file clearly states that one cannot be exposed to direct moonlight as well as sunlight due to the fact that the moonlight is purely reflected sunlight and it does not seem to eliminate the anomalous behavior of the light.

001 is a truly terrifying concept. Surviving even 10 days is a nightmare, but 100 is downright impressive

Fun fact : This can actually be canon, the scp universe has infinite canons due to the amount of plotholes and reality warpers/anchors, and this can be one of them.

There should be a aftermath video to When Day Break. Where the apocalypse suddenly ends out of nowhere. Sun returns to normal, flesh monster drop-dead, with no answer in sights. Survivors are talking amongst themselves what they should do.

As an Australian, I can confirm we have survived with this SCP from the beginning of time. It will be a breeze for us

I do not believe the hard to kill lizard would kill this poor, crying, dying man. The lizard revels in human suffering so to see a man in a catastrophic state would be more amusing than ending him quickly. Amazing video otherwise! These stories make my day whenever they come up!

The chance that they just so happened to be closest to the site with 682 is honestly quite high

Just find Site 77. It is fully self contained with food production, CO2 scrubbers, and full water recycling that is tapped into the aquifer 5km away from it. You can live forever almost a mile deep. You didn't think we wouldn't have a _plan..._ did you? You'll have to find it, I already said too much.

Just imagine being Kyle in this situation. Your just slowly losing grip on reality and you get to this foundation and realize no one’s there. Then all the sudden you see this lizard tear you limb from limb as you slowly die. In my honest opinion, I’d rather end myself on my Terms than become one of those flesh bags or being torn apart by a lizard

So this dude went through all of this slowly but surely losing his grip on reality and in the end when he makes it to a foundation base he gets ripped to shreds by 682. Well in all honesty getting ripped to shreds is probably a better fate then being turned into one of those “things”.

Scp 5000 (The suit) would be the best thing for this apocalypse as you wouldn't need to eat, sleep or drink and the sun would never bother you. Plus your temperature is always controlled, very little can puncture the armour and you can turn invisible

The channel, however still stayed, and everyone involved suddenly dropped dead for no apparent cause of death. Moments later, they reanimated, now with SCP-008 in their bodies. Subjects immediately terminated. Addendum 1: Other Channels, namely Dr Bob, TheRubber, SCP Exploration, SCP Oreientation and ODDity have also appeared. They also seem to know everything about the SCP Foundation. Attempts to take down these channels have also failed. Addendum 2: The channels, namely SCP Explained (The SCP-001), Dr Bob and SCP Oreientation have made websites of selling plush versions of SCP-049 and SCP-999. Attempts at taking down the website have failed. Addendum 3: All staff assigned to SCP-001 received an email from an unknown Gmail address. It shown a picture of SCP-096 and said, "GOT YOU". SCP-096 however was not weeping like how it usually would. However, after 24 hours, everyone who received the message went to SCP-682's containment cell and released it. SCP-682 killed 24 guards and researchers and injured 96 others. Addendum 4: Dr.■■■■■■ was permitted to send a mimetic hazard to the unknown gmail address. Result: SCP-682, SCP-049 and SCP-173 suddenly appeared in Site-■■. All subjects who saw the anomalies acted strangely. After 2 days, they suddenly became instances of SCP-682-BAC (Miniature version of SCP-682 made of bacon and photo paper that was made by SCP-914.) The instances managed to kill 1 janitor before getting terminated by security staff. SCP-682 somehow knew about the SCP Foundation killing it's bacon clones. SCP-682 went ballistic and somehow entered a rage state even though it was in hydrochloric acid. It killed 45 guards and researchers, and badly injured 79 others. Addendum 5: More channels appeared, like SCP Realised and others. They make EAS scenarios about SCPS. An attempt was made to take down all channels again. Result: SCP-001 interrupted all television and radio stations, stating, "The SCP Foundation is a shadowy organisation that secures and contains anomalous entities, (incomprehensible)". Some people however, managed to vaguely hear the incomprehensible part of the transmission, and attacked Site-■■. The entire site was destroyed and there were no survivors. After this, hundreds of meteors rained down the skies. An estimated ■■■ million people died. Those meteors left craters that [DATA EXPUNGED]. After seeing [DATA EXPUNGED], the people knew everything about the SCP Foundation. They attacked 12 containment sites and managed to destroy 7 of them. All anomalies from the 12 sites escaped. 4 of them were anomalies that can cause an XK class scenario. An estimated ■■■ million people died. After realising that SCP-001 is capable of releasing anomalies capable of causing XK classes, SCP-001 was deemed too dangerous to be interacted with, and could cause and XK class End of The World Scenerio. From now on, only personnel with level 5 clearance are allowed to submit requests to take down SCP-001 or experiment on it, with full documentation of the experiment or attempt to take down, and reasons of why the attempt will be a success beforehand. Failure to comply will result in demotion to D-Class, or termination of the subject who disobeyed the policies. As SCP-001 does less harm when uncontained, it is unadvised to try and contain it. It has been reclassified as Archon for these reasons and is not to be changed unless a valid reason is given. Why do people even like this😅😅 looking back, it seems horrible😅😅

Well, dying from 682 is a lot cooler than melting. I mean, you're on a heaven talking with your buddies and you talk about how you died. All of them say something like "I melted" or "i got eaten by that slug" and you're unique, eaten by a scary monster.

Hey guys day 102 So I got to talk to the lizard some and turns out he's actually pretty chill. He normally hates people, but apparently since I'm, like, the last one left he's just kind of...leaving me alive. He ate one of my legs, though, I guess so I can't go to far. I managed to find a supply closet and get patched up and I've been spending the last day and a half crawling around the facility. Found some food! Though...I don't know how long it'll last. Anyhow, things seem...safe? Either way, I'll...see ya when something interesting happens...again!

I'm more interested on what happen on the other Group of interest, mainly the Church of Broken God and the Serpent's Hand. I think the former survive by going full machine and latter rarely left their library. Edit: I also want to think some SCP are immune to the sun like SCP 999, the one on my mind that can assist the foundations in broad daylight are SCP-2273 (because he is more a human in case forever in a advance suit than SCP-049 who have an actual skin), SCP-054, SCP-2295, SCP-500, SCP-1233 (if they manage to contact him), SCP-387 (they just need to make a big Lego construct) and SCP-347 (might be a stretch but technically the ray of the sun just pass on her, after all she is invisible) at night they could sent out the rest to help survivors like SCP-3663 or destroy the flesh monster near the foundation sites like SCP-073, SCP-343, SCP-5151, SCP-2599, SCP-076, and SCP-2241. I think Spectral SCP, SCP made from inorganic object like SCP-173 and SCPs living deep underwater are fairly safe.

This is a public service announcement: in the event of SCP-001 When Day Breaks, simply detonate a nuclear warhead on the Yellowhead Super-volcano. Doing so will cause it to erupt, spewing a sufficient amount of ash into the sky to block out the sun and start a volcanic winter, which is a mildly better apocalypse than SCP-001 When Day Breaks.

One small correction to this. The moon reflects sunlight so unless you are wearing full body covering you'd still melt as indirect sunlight still counts as sunlight.

its amazing how many stories and lore revolve around When Day Breaks, only a few people left trying to survive, some people catalouging or vlogging their survivals and how other scps and The Foundation manage to barely cope with all their knowledge and power. Its like The Walking Dead, Doom, The Sun Vanished, and Lord of the Flies merged into one, all thanks to one of the things that we often take for granted, The Sun.

YOOOOO ITS MA BOI KYLE, glad you survived the initial outbreak. I'm gonna let you in on a base me and some of these SCP people that saved me came up with, wo they have this containment unit where they keep this super dangerous immortal killer called Able, it's so far underwater that sunlight can't even reach down there so we plan on building a base down there using grow lights from plant nursery and distill the sea water for fresh water, it seems pretty viable along as we don't exceed a population count of 50, and we can always dig down to make more room. We are going to survive this apocalypse Subnautica style (hopefully minus the giant sea monsters and deadly bacteria)

I find it interesting how despite being an XK class end of the world scenario When Day Breaks seems like one of the more... tame ones for lack of a better term; like you got 343 and 999 going hero mode and a decent chunk of the foundation working round the clock to figure out a fix its really neat.

Why do y'all keep forgetting that moonlight is still sunlight? Any form of sunlight melts you, that includes moonlight.

I like to think that there is at least one person, who, for unknown reasons, is completely immune to When Day Breaks, as well as the supernatural effects of most anomalies. This individual constantly roams around in confusion as the world ends around him. Maybe the foundation will eventually capture him and keep him locked away as a contingency plan?
