Heeey, people! I had to reupload this vid, the 1st upload didn't convert to HD. Anyway: Are you Splice or Loopcloud? None of these? Planning to switch? Planning to get Splice or Loopcloud? Lemme know in tha kommentz!
I bought an Auduent device and they offered Loopcloud, I think I am going to switch. I like Splice, but it just be all over the place. Crashing, loops incomplete or not of good quality, constant log outs, I may keep it because of it's link to my MPC, but I may just get samples from loopcloud and move them to my MPC...have to see how it all works.
I love Loopcloud, but I would personally say they are very close and thus use both almost equally. A bit of it depends on the genre you're making, but both are definitely useful.
Totally agree, plus Splice try to get users caught in there, if you leave they keep your points. Download all the points then leave. They got outsmarted by Loopcloud long ago
@@FoliaSound yeah, users pay per month (no annual plan) after a few month they get a get bulk of unused point in stock, if they decide to unsubscribe and then re-subscribe later, all your point are lost. They want you to get stuck there. Don’t forget to use all your points before leaving. 👍🏼
It's the same with Loopcloud (and all subscription plans), you lose everything you didn't use when canceling the subscription. Another thing to think about: Loopcloud does offer a 50% discount to be more attractive, but just be aware that it's a one-shot offer: the very next year you'll have to pay the total price, even if another 50% discount is on the run because you will not be eligible for it. And when you cancel, since Loopcloud 7, you can no longer use the Loopcloud app and plugins, so if you bought kits or instruments, they are gone forever unless you subscribe again. You can access your sample/loop packs but they are just folders full of unclassified files.
@@tobytodelafontena unsubscribed in the past from Looopcloud and didn’t lose anything. And this year renewed for 50% after the 50 % from last year. I have them both since years and experienced all the situations. Never paid more than 50%. AlsoI you mix up losing your points and losing access to your points. On Splice you literally lose them, you can also find plenty of people complaining about this on Reddit and other online groups.
the loopcloud AI tool, even tho stil beta, is pretty cool I found a lot of nice samples matching my sound through that. I actually use splice only for rent to own software. Never them samples
I much prefer Loopcloud despite the fact that it has a much smaller library than Splice. The LoopCloud plugin is amazing. To be fair the issues with Splice are relatively new, as is their CEO.
Thank you, I have loopcloud but I prefer more my analog creations than samples, although it can be of much use, if you have the patience to go trough to all the sounds and libraries.
Splice!! loopcloud for edmers is probably heaven because the filtered search is not great and edm samples always find they're way in the algorithm no matter if your search is country, hip hop, or soul. They still have work to do in my opinion to compete with splice as 1# so i wouldn't even make them feel like they are there yet. Make a video about what they need to improve on because if i had to choose 1 WITHOUT the other im definitely choosing Splice.
Nice video, thanks! do you know any VST plugin that can provide the same loopcloud and splice functionality - change scale with 1-2 buttons? For example, I have a pack in F# and I want to change the scale with 1-2 buttons without calculating\adding semitones in my own brain) Do you know any plugin?
loopcloud is a shitty attitude towards users, the software was removed without a subscription, it doesn’t work, it’s impossible to download the whole pack from the website
yea man.. same problem here... i dont even know how thats legal. they wont let me access to my purchases :/ i'll never use them ever, just out of principle
I don't understand the reason or purpose of these things. Don't these make music that much more generic than what it already is? If you're composing with just this stuff you're not really creating music. All you're doing is inserting artificial sounds. I'd rather know that the artists I'm listening to created their music from scratch, by actually playing the notes and piecing it all together.
