I take 13 year old Faith flying and her reactions are absolutely priceless. She did enjoy the flight a lot and she did incredibly well even though she was a tiny bit scared in parts!
70+ years ago young people just four years older than her were flying Hurricanes and Spitfires in defense of the UK. She had a ride of her life indeed. So refreshing to see.
Although there were 18-year-olds pilots in the Battle of Britain, they were so rare that fellow pilots remarked on it. There were only single-digits number of them. Most were in their mid-20s.
1/3 terrified, 1/3 astounded, and 1/3 pure joy. Faith is a beautiful young lady with priceless reactions. I'm happy she was able to fly with you, and get to feel the thrill. Thanks for a heartwarming video!
Thumbs up to Nick for not going out of his way to terrify Faith just to get wild reactions out of her. He took it easy (no barrel rolls), and though she was a bit nervous at first, in the end, she had a nice experience that will leave her with a fond memory of her flight.
Shame about the intense genetic urge to involve a phone in the experience. Honestly kind of funny how her natural reaction was to raise her phone up then she realised she couldn't concentrate on experiencing it and filming it at the same time.
@@BlueZirnitra exactly. everytime i take my family out for something like this i take all their phones away. i put plenty of action cameras around them for the good memory. but nobody fiddle the phone on my watch haha
Her reactions are so honest and uninhibited. And her eyes full of wonder and innocence. I hope she retains those qualities throughout her life. It was a joy to watch. thank you.
I think it would be horrible to run into an 80 year old who wasn't jaded and bitter. The only hope for anyone's future is that in time, love turns grey like the skin on a dying man. You have grown older, and very much colder, and nothing is very much fun anymore. Of course, I jest. It would be wonderful to run into such a person. (He's not 80 years old at the time of writing, but if you watch Teller of "Penn and Teller" fame, when he sees a new trick that puzzles him you find yourself looking at a small boy whose face is full of wonder and joy. It's a peculiar thing of beauty to behold.)
It's lovely to see the kindness in the pilot taking up a young person to have such a positive and special experience. The world needs so much more of this human kindness.
Done like a true gentleman. If this aviator wanted to show off just a little he could have had you losing your lunch many times !!! A tip of my hat to the well rounded young man.
Came across this quite by accident. So much fun to watch, and as Faith likes to say... "This is so COOL!" What a great kid. Her reaction whenever he turns the airplane is priceless. A little scared; A little excited.
This was lovely. It's something she'll never forget. When my daughter was eleven I took her up in a PA-28 over Berkshire. A few years later she joined the Air Cadets and eventually flew supvervised aerobatics with the RAF!
“ Oh , you mean like a barrel roll …? “ Her expression is priceless ! She thought “ Oh God , he’s doing it !” She is very mature acting for her age … reminds me of my daughters . Fun and funny , and a blast to be around .
LOL the look on her face any time he did ANYTHING other than fly straight and level were HILARIOUS. Her eyes looked like they were gonna pop out of her head. lol
Beauty, purity, innocence, openness and honesty, all together in intense doses from one person in sixteen minutes and six seconds. She is simply won-der-ful!
Loved how wide her eyes got when you were maneuvering the aircraft. So beautiful flying over the English countryside. A memory for a lifetime I am sure. 👍 Cheers from Canada ! 🇨🇦
Wow, one can really feel her excitement and pure joy! What a pleasure to watch her reaction, so naturally amazed to experience a dream of mankind. Almost can feel the flight in my guts too, just by watching her! Thanks for letting us participate, awesome video. :)
It was clear..to me, at least...that you were helping her to learn some things along the way. You gave her an opportunity to feel comfortable in the air and with the responses the plane made to control inputs. You introduced her to the joy of flight.
Her genuine facial expressions really stand out beautifully even in our world where people make entire channels just about reacting to _anything and everything_
I simply can't remember a RU-vid video that was as much pure fun to watch as this one! Faith is such a cute young lady and her "unfiltered" reactions to the things she was experiencing were an absolute joy to watch! I hope you'll have the opportunity to share future flights with Faith! Well done, sir!
I really admire how you have your aircraft kitted out with all the cameras. Inside and out we get great views from most every angle. I really wanted to see that castle... lol
Glad you enjoyed it I love documenting my adventures. Watching them back gives me almost as much satisfaction as actually experiencing it! Memories are great to have and if others can get some enjoyment out of them, that makes me extremely happy!
The continuous transitions between amazement and fear and joy are fun to watch. She'll never forget this. Who could? It's so much more of a personal experience than what we feel in an airliner.
She finds some comfort stroking her hair it seems. Her emotions seemed to switch like a light switch. Too precious, too any of forget such adolescent experiences. Thanks for the post.
She is 13 all right, stroking her hair and watching life through a phone. She says Aww and Ooh all the time! But she is gorgeous. I love to see her reactions, her shaking arms, and big, big eyes. She is a wonderful feminine girl and I think you would never have a dull moment in her presence. You could say I ❤ watch her. She pushed herself thru her fears like a champ. What a girl.
I found myself grinning so much at the reactions and facial movements of Faith, I had ache in my jaws from watching the footage. I hope the lassie is as happy as this her entire life and as for YOU, (pilot), wonderful to let kids experience such an amazing activity in what I seen was the most competent and safe manner.
people say Drugs are addicting , I say there's nothing in this entire world more addicting than flying or sky diving . absolute freedom . thanks for sharing @Let's go Flying . Liked and shared .
What a sweetheart.... Love the fact she Was saying oh my gosh instead of the other word. She matches her name.😊 And great piloting skills, what a gentleman. God-bless you two.
This is an experience she will NEVER forget!! Her reactions are so genuine and priceless!! I hope she catches the piloting bug and makes a career for herself in aviation. 😉👍
Nick, one of the most hilarious videos I’ve seen in a while… her reactions were absolutely priceless. You have too take some screen shots of her reactions and get some pillow covers made for her.. 😂😂
Glad you enjoyed it! Funny you should say that - I actually sent her four different versions of the thumbnail. Three of which were her pulling funny scared faces and one was us both laughing and smiling as a nice option and she chose the funniest one of her which is the thumbnail for this episode! She’s a great sport and she did so well considering she was nervous!
@@miskatonic6210 but I do know what SHE thinks - because I asked her! I asked her on the video actually as well as after the flight! If you had bothered to watch the video all the way through you would know her response! I’ll save you watching it again - she said “that was amazing!” Not only was that statement backed up by the sheer joy on her face, but she also desperately wants to go up again. Your “quick to judge” and “bitter” outlook on what is a very positive video / experience is indeed VERY TELLING!
You can really feel every little bump and ripple in the air in a small aircraft. The rise and fall can really get to people who aren't expecting that. Her face though is priceless. Seeing the world from above is a unique experience that I never tire of. Beautiful countryside to fly over there.
I am 70, and have never lost the thrill as an aircraft speeds and begins its take off. I get emotional thinking of the great people who dreamt of the possibility but never lived to see its fruition; it is now available to all of us. I will never lose this feeling and wonder.
Just found this. Faith's face is a picture. Mix of excited and scared. I don't think I've ever seen eyes open that wide before. I bet she's a scream at home. Reminds me of my little sister, Viv. She was always the adventurous one and game for anything.
Glad you enjoyed it! It’s nice to be able to make some light hearted wholesome aviation content! She was a great sport and she’s got the flying bug for sure now! Thanks for watching!
@@LetsGoFlying I'm so glad she has! At that age, I had a similar flight, got the bug and 30 years later I got my PPL. I'll never forget that first flight.
I don't know how I had this video suggested by RU-vid, but I'm glad they suggested it. Loved it and the reactions from Faith are awesome. He face shows all of her emotions and now she loved this experience. I'm sure she will remember this throughout her life. I'm sure you will remember the joy and amazement that she experienced because you did that for her.
Faith is absolutely adorable! The shift in her expression from terror to delight made me grin from ear to ear. I'm not always a comfortable flyer myself so I could really sympathize with Faith as she fought to control her emotions while the plane moved around in the sky. So good for her for enjoying the ride, and kudos to Nick for being such a great pilot.
I think there is a real chance of that! She loved it but it certainly did push her boundaries somewhat. She did very well though considering she was nervous! Thanks for watching!
@@Navyuncle She is old enough now, far as I understand nothing to stop her, she would not be allowed to solo and while the experience she would gain can be logged I don't think it would count towards a licence.
Thank you for this. Wonderful to see the first time flight reactions of a young person. As a jaded old Navy Helicopter crewman I long ago forgot my first joys of flight. Thanks for refreshing my memory and giving this young person a memory she will never forget. Well done sir, very well done.
Faith and her reactions were just adorable! Getting used to the funny feeling in your tummy while turning, climbing and descending takes a couple of trips to get used to it. I think she really enjoyed herself. Lovely plane too, different to the DH Chipmunks I used to fly.
This guy is a real pro. He is not only a good pilot, he was able to calm his lady passenger for the whole flight! It's the type of guy U wud want flying the 747 across the Atlantic 👍...Many years ago I have done Paragliding and Hanggliding. I know this feeling. It really is beyond any description! 😉PS. I did notice that stroking hair can be a good stress release? My daughter many years ago did the same with her 'My Little Pony'! 😚
Hello from across the pond. You two looked like you were having too much fun. The looks on Faith's face was priceless, especially about the barrel roll. Cheers to you for giving her an awesome experience.
Great flight and Faith's expressions and body language was heartwarming to see, I hope life is good to her and she retains some of her cute characteristics, well done on your calm piloting skills, great video.
Lol I just enjoyed this video the reactions to all movements had me rolling! She's got to have the best reactions I've ever seen. Great job on making Faith feel comfortable and letting her enjoy the thrill of flight. This truly is priceless!
This is hysterical! I LOVE an honest reaction from someone delighted and overwhelmed all at once. Living life to the full. Well done taking her flying. And thanks for sharing such a delightful video of a lovely person.
This is such a lovely video. She is such a sweet girl and so honest in her emotions. Not trying to be brave or some false narrative of trying to act cool. It just makes you smile watching it.
Lovely, calm flying by the Captain. 👍 The young lady’s reactions were brilliant. If she actually does ‘have kittens’, put me down for two! 🤣🤣 Her facial expressions are priceless. This is how RU-vid videos should be made. Excellent job. 👍👍
I love where he took her hand while on the stick and after telling her to be gentle and then giving her a true intense feel for the stick control. Very cool.
