I’m an FFL and couldn’t believe it when someone brought this in for consignment. The DAO trigger pulls like a 9mm staple gun, but they are solid. DEEEP barrel grooves. It's a cool gun, especially with the history attached.

Bought one back in the late 70's-early 80's. Easiest disassembly ever! Worst trigger pull ever! It felt great but I sold it anyway with no regrets. By the way, you can use a .25 cent piece to easily remove the firing pin from the slide.

Back in the 90's, I'd see one of these at an occasional gun show listed anywhere between $400-600. Had it not been for me wanting to incorporate Leon Kennedy's unfortunate RE2 loadout into my collection, I wouldn't have paid $1K for a VP70Z in 2021, but here I am. With a 5.5lbs Wolff striker spring, the trigger is only slightly less awful. It's my favorite worst gun.

Interarms dumped them for $275 in 1983! Bought from my barber who had an FFL, mentioned it to me during a haircut and got an instance YES! Heaviest DA trigger of all my pistols, Polymer frame 12 years before Glock!

No offense to H&K but that's an ugly gun, not as ugly as Hi-Point but still ugly. To me it's like the Design Department said "Let's make our own version of James Bond Walther" while getting smashed at the pub. Being said, Hi-Point could of definitely stole the grip design too, I like the grip on this much better, but don't listen my NONSENSE.
