they literally just opened and they're famous so people are showing up in hoards. The shop is also tiny, they physically cannot help everyone.

@@PeachC17thats aside from serving actual food to people. you can still sell food if you dont have seating and its is telling of the longevity if they cant figure out the business needs day to day.

@@frmhtxwithlove the place being small doesn’t just mean seating, it means the amount of people that work there. The owners are obviously respecting the limitations of the capabilities of their staff, and prioritising quality over quantity. There’s a million very successful small super popular cafes that turn people away all the time and they’re doing just fine years later 🫶🏼

This happens at new places in the city all the time, a small restaurant can only stock a limited amount of ingredients. Limited storage and refrigeration space.

Not to disrespect the sandwich shop but I feel that turning customers away who have been waiting in line rather than making the effort to serve them does not bode well for the restaurant’s longevity. Especially in the first couple of days after opening. If you are serious about your business you put in the long hours especially in the highly competitive food industry.

Exactly, or if they legitimately run out of food they should cut the line off at the last person they know they can feed. They could take orders while people are in line too, which would make it easier to cut off the line so no people have to wait for nothing.

I agree but it's probably cause they ran out of everything they can serve that's probably why they close so early also cause they just don't have anymore inventory which makes sense cause they're newly open so they have to figure out how much to order anyways.
