I have the LAB 2.1 branding iron in the armlock style. It takes a little time but you MUST stop trying to 'guide' the putter. The putter does all the work once you learn to trust it. I now hold the shaft so loose that all I am really doing is stopping the club from falling out of my hands. Thumbs are off the shaft entirely. Line it up take your eyes back to the ball and super smoothly putt through. From 13:01 you are putting it as if it were an arm lock putter :) which is good as it works for you.
Lie angle balance will mess with your aim at first as you are used to applying a certain amount of torque with your regular putter. So at first, you will be fighting it!
Hey mate I noticed your lead (left) elbow was in close to your body, try having it out pointing towards your target. Maybe having it close to your body is causing you to pull your strokes to the left? I use a broomstick and love it 💯
I want to get a link 1 at like 75 degrees I have been putting great with my phantom 5.5 but there is something about gaining a a little bit more advantage if possible
I think to have any success and consistency with the broomstick you MUST put a sharpie line on the ball… then place the ball super precisely to the start line…. Walk backwards and double check that line…Then TRUST TRUST TRUST that sharpie pen line.
@@GabeGallucciGolfBad because you’re not starting the ball on the start line? Or Bad because you’re misreading the break? Or Bad because the pace not correct?
I noticed something in your swing. With the broomstick style putting you kinda have to swing straight back and straight through. When you were first doing it, your swing traced inside on the back swing like you would do a traditional putter. Once you went "straight arm" almost like an arm lock putter, the swing went back in more of a straight line. More like how a broomstick style should swing. Try it again broomstick style but focus on drawing the putter straight back and straight through.
I put a Mezz max counterbalanced putter in the bag this year and absolutely love it. Definitely intrigued by the broomstick just too big of a change for me!
Lie angle of the broom is 79.5. Very upright. Get fitted for a standard length LAB - you may be a little upright from standard. Once you try a DF3 or Mezz in your fitted length/lie, you will never look back. 🙂
