Thank you for the list! Interesting choice to add in more Pokemon instead of items like Capturing Aroma, are more Pokemon worth the trade off as opposed to cycling your deck out more consistently? Personally, I've been dabbling into different techs for the deck, like Grabbers to take out Pokemon out of the opponent's hand, Professor Turo to save your damaged Pokemon in a pinch or to switch them out basically during the early parts of the game, Gardenia's Vigor to supercharge and make use of the increased Leaf Energy ratio, and Super Rod to bail out Energies or Pokemon that has been knocked out for another use. (Iron Leaves esepcially, when it gets knocked out in a Zard matchup). I did think of making use of some stadiums as well, like Pokemon League HQ to prevent easy retreats, Collapsed Stadium since we don't necessarily need all 5 slots on the bench (Might give Lugia players a way out so not the best idea but it is an option) and Lost City to fight against decks that can do some recursion. (also one more spicy tech if you so choose with Devolution if there are many Zards running about in the post rotation format or your LGS; speaking from personal experience lol)
Hoopa EX goes crazy against this deck and has been gaining a lot of popularity as Lost Zone’s Iron Hands answer, so I feel like if Arc/Tina gets more and more play in the US, Hoopa EX stocks with skyrocket.
If Snorlax ends up being top tier, I like just going pile with things that can attack. The deck still functions quite well as a pile as seen many times at high levels. Definitely going to be one of my 3 built decks after our final local events before rotation.
List looks solid. I have a very similar list biggest difference is I run Minior (Paradox Rift) instead of Radiant Gardevoir and 2 Lost City over the third copies of bidoof/Bibarel
i have seen some post-rota zard lists and they go WILD with 2 or even THREE! lost vacuums, they also play less rotom and pigeot ex now, and gravitate towards bibarrel, to potentially do a prize mapping disruption and take the win that way (not many decks can recover if they took 3 prizes against a zard deck tbf..., you want to do a clean 2,4,6 )
something has to be banned, not sure what, but either block snorlax (unlikeley), erika's invitation, or Eri. i'd say as soon as the powers that be realise how broken snorlax is with eri in the format, we'll see the 1st S&V era card ban.
lost tina if you can lost zone (it's a very intricate play, not many can master it, those that do, do good). arc-tina however can get even a mediocre player into day 2 at regionals
what kills this deck is coming in the next set, the fighting type ogrepon ex that doesn't take damage from pokemon with abilities (immune to arceus vstar), and deals 140 (280 to arceus vstar)
I don't think Mist Energy stops the extra prize being taken because Iron Hands takes the knock out by damage and damage is not an "effect" so I think the extra prize still gets taken.
Mist Energy only stops effects of attacks applying to the attached pokemon. Amp You Very Much just allows the opponent to take an extra prize if the opposing pokemon was knocked out by damage from that attack. The extra prize effect isnt on the Mist energy attached pokemon
Anything that anyone titles “this is broken” while they also admit they haven’t played it yet also probably said Reset Stamp was OP before it was released
