You're the only vocal coach I've subscribed to. I actually have no interest in learning to sing, but your likability made me enjoy your videos. Pretty may be a privilege but it won't guarantee that people will want anything more from you than to emulate. Same, I actually watch you videos because you seem likely loveliest, most genuine person - that is something rare and very special. Everyone watches you because they'd like to be friends with you lol. I reckon a big proportion of us don't even sing lol
I domt want to invalidate tour feelings, but also I would just advise you to sit with your feelings and realise why you feel them, which is what you've done. Social media plays a huge part in our modern life, and I think as a middle aged woman, all social media puts out is women your age that looks my age, 18, women that dont age, women that have "everything". What i do want to say however is that as an 18 year old, who accepted that they are pretty after 18 years of not feeling pretty is that, what we emit is what makes us pretty. I realised what makes me pretty is my smile, the way I make others smile, the way I treat others, the way im expressive and light hearted and have a sense of naïvety. Your voice is angelic, and your blonde hair is utterly eternal and you're teeth are fine. But I feel as though in a way in this video, you're actually putting others down, by criticising them for getting plastic surgery etc. Beauty standards can tear people apart, if you spend too much time over them. You don't have to model yourself to look like others, it's not necessary, it's the way you are that draws people in, the way you act, the way you behave, the way you put what you want into words. People look into people that interest them, not necessarily because they look beautiful according to society. Pretty privilege only goes as far as you belive it will. I know I'm pretty because my face is pretty but because I'm pretty on the inside and that at the end of the day makes me beautiful. Not just pretty.
I don't watch vocal coach videos for someone's looks, I watch it for the entertainment value of the video and your videos are the best. Be proud of your achievements and try your best not to compare yourself to others!

First of all, you're beautiful. The genuinity in your personality just breaks the screen. It gets to us, trust me. You're incredibly honest. Second of all, I understand your feeling 100%. I think this is something we all have been through. No one is completely happy with their image all the time, and that's FINE. We all have insecurities and they might even be positive if we learn how to deal with them to become better people. And third and last, the kind of content you make is what we all love. THAT'S why we follow you, not because of the way you look. There will always be things to make better, whether it is editing, lighting, music, I don't know. I suppose it all depends on your definition of "ugly." Because honestly, I think super skinny, over the top make-up airbrushed super models are ugly. I don't mean to be rude by saying that, but I don't think that whole "look" is attractive at all. Many women online look like avatars or something, it's gross. I think you are naturally pretty. Loads of make-up is fake, like you said. And I think it's awesome that you don't go that route. Like the person below me said, I don't sing either, but your likability keeps me returning to your videos. You seem like a genuine person, so to me, you have beauty both inside and out. And that's better than looking like a starving, emaciated person any day!
Oh Georgina, I really appreciate your honestly and vulnerability. This type of conversation can help so many others struggling with this concept. Pretty privilege certainly exists! People are innately drawn to things that they find aesthetically pleasing so if someone is "conventionally" attractive they will amass followers even if their content is lackluster, irrelevant, or incorrect. Wish is could be opposite, but I'm hear (pun intended) for you because of your charming personality and all of the things I have learned from you!

If pretty privilege really exists, then personality/skill/experience privilege exists too. And not everyone is going to have all of those privileges. And so what? Be happy with the 'privilege(s)' you have and don't worry about the ones you don't because you can still be successful without them.
I love your looks, it's refreshing to see someone who isn't wearing lots of makeup, botox, fake teeth. You have nice features and you look like a real person. But your demeanor is what people fall for, that is so much deeper than artificial beauty.

I started to record my videos a few months ago and it took me really long time to get used to how I look in front of the camera. There are so many crazy beautiful people and I know what you mean. But so many of those people don’t have your personality! You can always do something to make yourself feel prettier but you can’t change your personality!

This popped up on my feed, and it made me sad. Please don't change who you are. People like you because your spirit shines bright and in a world of plastic people, genuineness and kindness are some of the most beautiful things there are. Those that look "perfect" every day of their lives are funded by the machines making money off of their looks, and some of them likely feel that their looks are all that people value, and are terrified of the day their appearance starts to fade.

Most of us only look stunning to beauty standards when we wear makeup and the proof of that is that at the end of your video you look like that in the picture that’s at the very final!! I have to admit that being physically and objectively good looking is quite important especially these days,. It can benefit you in so many ways, from getting a job, making good connections in your social life to getting a man, money or even online viewers. People treat you so differently when you're beautiful and It is a truth that will never change because although everybody already knows that they should not judge something by its cover they are still naturally drawn to things that look good on the surface and therefore obviously please their eyes and their brains as well. It's natural and that is why your appearance still might matter. I think It is better to develop both your inside and your outside just to be the best version of yourself. Learn to work hard for your look as much as you do to be a nice, talented person. I mean, coach, sorry I don't know your name , you have big beautiful eyes that shine and sharp nose that makes me jealous. Maybe you can work out and lose some weight or take off your eyeglasses and make your eyes stand out. Maybe you can seek for different hairstyles and outfits, You can also put on a subtle makeup. Remember so many women are not born natural beauty. It's how they try in order to not look perfect but attractive in their own ways.

I totally get this and feel the same as an "ugly" yoga teacher. I always think I'm the ugliest person in any room. I look for other "ugly" people but everyone else is beautiful, and so the feeling is exacerbated. I love looking at your face. It's beautiful and real.

Oh my goodness, I've watched some of the other vocal coaches on you tube maybe once or twice, but I keep looking for your you tubes, you may not be all glamorous like some of these women are but they don't come across nearly so lovely as you do. They actually irritate me with their posing, you are lovely, your personality is even lovelier. Don't change a thing about yourself, I think you are perfect in every way that you allow us to see. On the other hand, I never thought about your looks up until now when you discussed that ( I believe 99% of your subscribers can say the same thing). I know, however, how it feels not to fit the mold and feel like everyone sees what you see in yourself and can't hide it. If you wanna have your nose done, do it. But do it because of yourself, not anyone else. Don't learn how to betray yourself.

If you want to get to a next level, I guess it would just be more exposure, people sharing your videos (which I do myself) You look great as you are. "Pretty privilege" is a thing, but it doesn't mean they make better content. You're the only vocal coach I watch! The others just don't have the personality. I've spent my whole life being insecure even though I always get told I look great, smell nice etc... People never wanted me to look great, they wanted me to come out my shell, be me and just live. Deep down people prefer personality over looks. I mean how many good looking couples always break up, yet the average joes end up married for the rest of their lives.... Looks and appearance is just shallow.

I've been both extremely thin and pretty and extremely overweight and not feeling so great, and pretty privilege is definitely a thing! The way people (also family and friends) treat you is very very very different. I find it disgusting but I understand its something im just gonna have to accept and live with. I find it very uncomfortable and weird, since im still the exact same person on the inside.
You are probably somewhat right. But would you want to be Madonna, Britney Spears or Sinead O'Connor? All three had a huge advantage because of how they looked but someone who managed to get up there only relaying on their skill and hard work, like Adele, are probably much happier. I as a man would much rather marrying Adele than the others. When I watch RU-vid the creators passion is more important than anything else. I watch boat builders, vocal coaching, rock climbing and all kinds of stuff I'm not very interested in if they are just passionate about it. Bob Ross didn't get his views because of his looks. He seems passionate. Real or not, I think that attracts people's interest.
My own ugliness makes me scared to even go outside, have the curtains open, or to see my own reflection. :( I know I'm not too bad of a singer and that I have a beautiful voice, plus I've always wanted to be a singer, but I feel so ugly that I feel like it's not even worth trying.

I watched a few vocal coach reactions, but suscribed to only one… :) And i really feel people are looking for authenticity and good sense of humour, which you crown with your natural likability and simplicity. Maybe you are not that beautiful from an engle, but you are from so many other ones…. Ps Rossy de Palma is a very good example that personality and confidence outshines stereotypes.
Don't change a thing, it's so refreshing to look at people on videos that are real, without loads of makeup, botox, fillers, etc. I'm so glad you talk about this because I struggled with my looks from a very young age. I'm 53 now and I accept myself now for the way I look. And it helps when you see other 'real' people that don't always look as if they came out of a fashion magazine. Sometimes I still wish I was pretty, but I can look at a beautiful woman now without getting depressed about my looks. I think the greatest gift we can give ourselves is to learn to love ourselves for who we are and what we look like. If you do that, you will get through life much easier. And look at the bigger picture, nothing is forever, looks fade, but nothing can take away your happiness and peace. Hugs.

Everyone is telling you not to change, but if you can afford it and it will make you more confident I think you should tbh. But do it for your own self-confidence, don't do it to get subscribers on RU-vid. I'm the same as you, I am getting some things changed soon that have made me self conscious for years but you need to do it for yourself not for RU-vid subscribers
