I wonder why he turns blue. Maybe because you're holding something and you throw it in his vicinity the game thinks a potion? Will we ever know?

Honestly, this would be a cool concept. Kinda like seal the deal where you have to carry cherries instead of chores. Snatcher will constantly spook you and try to get in your way. So it would kinda be a death race.

How to defeat the snatcher: 1. Hop onto the liquid he’s in 2. Be repelled 3. Escape 4. Do whatever you want as long as you don’t die 5. Make him blue by doing nothing 6. Wait for him to give up 7. Done.

Him turning blue on his own actually makes sense as with how crazy the potion aiming system must be going with trying to hit you but not being able to leave the arena, eventually one HAD to have hit him

At this point I think Snatcher is just battling his own inner demons.

Kudos to the development team, for being able to keep their boss-battle script running on top of "normal" game play, without the game freezing up or soft-locking the player. •́⩊•̀ That may have looked weird, but what do you expect for out-of-bound breaking? Ok so this video gave me a revelation. After watching the cherry stacking and saw that you can walk on the cherry stacks, I remembered that just outside of snatcher’s arena, there are 3 cherries. I went into act 6 of subcon forest and tried to clear the gap (vanilla). It worked. I played around a bit, when I tried to enter Vanessa’s manor. I could get in. I went into the EX snatcher deathwish. I cleared the gap again. I went down the subcon well. I beat the level and a regular (see through, since I had gotten i) time piece flew out of the well like normal. That is how beat snatcher without beating snatcher. (It doesn’t count tho)
