One of my responsibilities when I worked for a nonprofit that included a high-end resale store was to identify real from fake designer brands. The real ones simply don't put themselves into "too good to be true " price ranges on current products, because it devalues the rest of their merchandise. If the price seems like a steal it's either an imposter or contraband.

I just saw this ad on Facebook like literally just now. Coz they're "offering" like 40 dollar tote. I bought mine sling bag from Marc Jacob's website and they used to have "sales section and now they don't have sale section on their website no more. Then when I saw this ad on fb, I had to comment because it's seemed shady. They don't do that kind of pricing. I got my purse from them on sale for 250usd. Then I scoured the website and there's no mar jacobs vip website

Just know that these bags are NEVER on sale...like ever! My friend got scammed like this too from the Facebook add.. .she ordered it and then told me, and I'm like nope girl that's so fake! She tried to cancel but they wouldn't let her, because they said it was already shipped. So she canceled her credit card. She did receive the order which was a terrible knock off, but still! Listen if it's not the Marc Jacobs website, or a department store....don't do it!

Right. The only sale they will get is nothing more than 10% or 15% and you will have to log into your student or whatever account to prove you’re eligible for the discount (the discount advertisement can be confirmed at a MJ brick & mortar store or by calling MJ directly; I confirmed the discount with my styling assoc at MJ store here in Georgia)

I was trying to treat myself to a nice bag and it seemed reasonable that they would be discounted right after Christmas…possibly for new styles to come out. Well, my thinking was wrong. It’s been over 2 weeks and no confirmation email, no bag…. I’m going to call my bank tomorrow. This makes me so sad. Humanity is becoming a dumpster fire…

I am so mad because I did this exact thing!! I was on Facebook and saw that Marc Jacobs was having a sale. Now I know it seems crazy but I get adds for Nordstroms, Express, Kate Spade etc and every time I have clicked a link and ordered anything it was legit so I never really questioned it; I even received an emailed receipt with confirmation. So 3 days later I click on the link to see my order and the link is said to be "unsupported." I immediately called my bank and cancelled my debit card and requested a charge back. I'm only out $80 thankfully but I am angry that this happened from something that was posted on Facebook. I wish I would have seen this video 4 days ago!

I am embarrassed to say I recently purchased a large tote and paid $86.99 from a Facebook ad. I never received a confirmation. I emailed them several times. All emails were returned. I did call my credit card and was told I had to wait a few weeks before I can file a claim. It’s a valuable lesson for me. I just pray I get my money back when I file a claim. 🙏🏾

I, unfortunately fell into the fake trap. I am always careful when shopping online. I don’t know how I got caught up. As soon as I realized I’d ordered from a site selling fake bags, I emailed the company to cancel my order. I got a response that my order had already shipped. I emailed back and asked how could that be when I had just placed the order. No response. So then I decided to dispute charge with my cc company and they told me I had to wait until they heard from the merchant. Two mistakes I’d never made until now…1. ordering from an unreliable overseas site and 2. Not using PayPal.

Wow from the real Marc Jacobs website. Wow so sorry this happened. I ordered a Marc Jacobs exclusive Bloomingdale’s snapshot handbag and received it. I waited months later to open my purchase and found dents all on the bag. It’s not easily noticeable but I noticed and the bag was 395.00 came up to 406.00 with taxes. So for now on buying bags in person can’t trust people to be honest. I gave them all my money and I brought a new bag should of been in new condition now the return window is closed because I trusted the company Bloomingdale’s to send me a brand new unmarked bag smh

I got scammed before too buying a marc Jacob strap from another website. And on that site, everything was almost the same price as well. Everything was around 50 dollars. And you know marc Jacob straps run about $85 to $100 dollars. So I thought I was getting a deal buying a Marc Jacobs strap from the site for cheaper. Luckily I ordered my Mark Jacob bag from the original Mark Jacob website. PayPal refunded me back for the strap. But I learned my lesson. I only shop from the original websites if I want anything now.

Sadly on 1/8/23, I fell for this Facebook ad and bought 2 bags. Something was telling me to double-check and hesitated but still pulled that trigger and purchased the bags. I instantly after purchasing started investigating and contacted my CC and had them flag the purchase as a fraud. I have emailed the company to cancel and refund, but I get emails that they are a legit company, etc. The "package" shipped and I have been tracking it miraculously it says delivered 11/9/22

I just got my bags and definitely fake. The tag on the back is the bag that says Marc jacobs style: location etc should only say Marc jacobs. The ones we received say the Marc jacobs as well as the tag inside the bag.

I saw this website this morning on facebook. They were giving an ad of their great sale. I was like wow’ this is a really good sale! I think I will like a tote bag. So sent the url from my phone to my email and then when I tried to open it from my computer it took me to a different website lol 😂 it wasn’t Marc jacobs. So I went to Marc jacobs website and saw that they don’t have such sale going on!!! Man people are getting smarter with scamming others!! Insane! I got a ring from “Zales.” And when I got my confirmation it was all Asian characters. PayPal didn’t refund my money though. I’m not sure why they just determined it was valid. I got a ring shipped to me but it is very obviously fake and surely not worth what I paid. 😟

If you buy fake, buy good quality, real leather fakes! Save that money! 10k for a purse is dumb no matter how much money you have! Recommend #dupbags their quality is great
