This sounds soo juicy with your Iconic, especially position 4 👐 Not a fan of the drive tones with my Ibanez Blazer.. clean tone is gorgeous though! And this ending section is beautiful, that breakup tone together with the reverse delay is just stunning😍

So the DC30 on the Helix (not quite the same, I know, but hear me out) is my favourite and most used amp model. But I always found it had a bit of like "hollowness" to it (not quite a scoop) that felt like it could get lost in a mix at times. I was hearing that here at first, but then sticking that green side of the protein on it absolutely lit it up. Excellent stuff. Man I would love a QC....
I had the helix and Kemper. Both sold. I actually passed on the quad because of my unhappiness with the previous modelers. I prefer amps and pedals. I saw someone using the quad and was blown away. I bought it used. Paid way more. This is a few yrs ago. The feel was there. The sound was there and the UI is great. It’s simple to get a great sound. I just use a regular guitar cabinet and go through my amp’s return fx. It’s great. I’m sorry the helix and Kemper don’t have that feel for me and too much tweaking. They both needed pedals to help with feel and sound. Tbh as a pedal addict the quad doesn’t even need any help although it takes pedals great.

Totally love both the new Matchless amps in the QC. Have been using the DC-30 Channel 1 and the Nordvang Klon clone a lot this week. Uploaded a couple of new tracks, and I have to say it is the best sound I have gotten in a while. Really inspiring. Love your playing Joshua, thank you! Quick question, are you using the 1/4" outputs of the QC into another audio interface and NOT the USB outputs?

Here’s my question and I’ve never seen an answer. With the modelers can I use it directly with just an amp or do I have to have a computer also? I know the capabilities are helped by a computer But I don’t own one, just an iPhone. Any help would be appreciated and I enjoy your videos a lot
You need some way to hear it. So in my set up I’m using my studio monitors. If you plug the qc directly into an amp with the same patch, you’d be doubling up the amp and cab tone (which would sound horrible). You can turn off the amp & cab in the qc and just use it like a normal pedalboard, but I’d rather just use real pedals at that point. Another option is to run the amp sim and no cab, then plug the qc into a power amp and real cab.
Yes Josh is right. I just plug the guitar into my amp’s return fx and from there into the quad’s L3 then plug ur guitar into the quad’s in put. Turn ur amp on and the quad and it’s great. I do not use a computer with it. Just need a cell if u want to get stuff off the cloud. But there’s plenty in the quad itself. Watch different Utube channels on how to set up a preset. Studio Rats Paul Drew is a good one. The guy is a session guitarist and he shows u how to set up a sound.
Hello Bro! Have you ever record with the usb port to the pc with the quadcortex? ? i think i never achieve this high definition sound , its amazing how crispy you get the sound, i think with usb quad cortex interace you loose some definition on the sound...any recomendations? thanks :D
