The R1 is so darn good. That, a Keeley compressor and a looper are all I use in my pedal board (with an acoustic/electric guitar). Tiny board with tons of versatility.
timing! i was just learning hybrid picking with arpeggios this breaks it further down. love the new patterns i learned especially the down hammer hammer, down hybrid pick hammer hammer my right hand has it down but my left hand is having trouble being independent of each other hahaha
Any particular reason for doing down down hybrid instead of down hybrid hybrid for those patterns? I started learning hybrid picking from watching you and joseph play and you're by far my biggest inspiration in the instrument and from learning your licks and practicing I noticed that down hybrid hybrid feels a lot more natural for me, so I'm just curious if there is a reason for that or maybe the other one just feels natural to you. Thanks for the video!
Using Pick-Hybrid-Hybrid VS Pick-Pick-Hybrid is better for me as I practice this technique. For those finger style players out there, try the PHH style too, being able to weave in and out of both hybrid picking styles creates some new avenues of playing.
To me PPH makes more sense (meaning it's easier for me) because you have down and up stroke so it's more fluid and so the hybrid comes in as a third movement, following the two pick
