You have to check out “jet airliner” by Steve Miller band!!! It’s a bit more up beat!!! But I’ve loved this tune since I was a kid!!! Take me back y’all!!!
Miller's version use to be one of my favorite songs UNTIL I heard Paul Pena's original, and I can't listen to Steve Miller's version the same way anymore and always defer to Pena's version.
omg Wild Mountain Honey 👍 I’m going to listen to that right after this! I have not heard it in ages!! Love that song so so much!!! Thanks for reminding me about it 🙏
Love Steve Miller Band, should also hear Take the money and run, Jungle Love. Supertramp- Take the Long way home and Give a little bit another group you may enjoy
Yes! Been rocking with Steve Miller since I was 14!! Welcome to the party! Please checkout more of him. Fly like an eagle, jet airliner, that whole album rocks!! ♥️✌️💃
You guys are so cute! You’re positive happy energy comes through. If you love Steve Miller listen to credence Clearwater revival,Boston and Styx. Oh and Kansas
A little trivia, Steve Miller's family was friends with the great Les Paul. You know the one they named the Gibson guitar after. Anyway, that's where Steve interestednin guitar and actually got lessons from the great man as a kid. ✌. 💘
Sooo many huge hits. SMB reminds me of hot summer days, a picnic next the cool river with a few good friends. The occasional smell of sweet leaf in the air. Couple cases of beer on ice with hotdogs and burgers grillen' up. Good times.
my daughter’s name is Lila Grace😊 I was blessed enough to see Van Morrison perform at jazz fest in new orleans 2001 and “Into The Mystic “ is my favorite song by him! 🙏💜🦋🌈🌞🌻
yes and “Jimi Thing” and nevermind I could go on and on. We used to go see DMB at local bars in Charlottesville and Richmond virginia in the early 90’s then I saw them when I was in college in Charleston,South Carolina and the last time I saw them was when they opened for The Grateful Dead in Vegas in 1995 shortly before Jerry passed (gone but never forgotten 🥲)
*if you find yourself groovin' right along with mr miller and the joker - yeah. you might be a hippie. welcome. lol. i'm so old - i remember when this was new. it's so cool seeing a new generation discover this music - and enjoy it. cheers.*
I proudly present, "The 'Am I a Hippie?' Checklist": • Jefferson Airplane, "White Rabbit" • Grateful Dead, "China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider" (Olympia Theatre, Paris, France) • Crosby Stills & Nash, "Suite Judy Blue Eyes" • Janis Joplin, "Piece of My Heart" • Allman Bros., "Whipping Post" (Live at the Fillmore East)
Fly Like An Eagle is my favorite, SMB song, but they've had SO many hits.. I first heard this song in 1979, in high school, so many memories... Steve Miler Band Greatest Hits was a must have album back in the day. I first bought it on LP (vinyl), then 8 track, cassette and CD (compact disc), now it's all "free" on RU-vid. I'm listening through a great pair of headphones and this music has never sounded better. Your sound mix is perfect. I'm brand new to your channel, instant subscription btw,, first video, love your commentary and enthusiasm. Your love the music is true and real. It's so great to hang out with friends and great share music.
That song is up there with Margaritaville, Escape (the Pina Colada Song) and Sweet Home Alabama as songs that were on every jukebox, in every bar, in my 20's and 30's
It's pretty easy to see how this song was a monster Number One hit! It was so inventive and Steve is an ace guitar player. I love that you keep yourselves open to all kinds of music. The band had scores of other hits like "Take The Money And Run", "Jet Airliner", and "Jungle Love". Of course, they had two other Number Ones--"Rock 'N Me" and "Fly Like An Eagle".
LOL I love y'all's reaction! But I am going to have to break it to you that this was a hit long before you thought it was today LOL! I would really love to see you do a reaction to Steve Miller band unite at the stake! Love your energy
Thanks for your reactions. You should hear some old stuff from them. You Will love Journey From Eden. On the same album as the song you reacted to is Evil. You will love it. Taken care and keep save♥️
I know I’m a hippie (both parents were Dead Heads)😊 I wish there were many more of us than there are these days, the world would be a better place 🙏💜🦋🌈🌞🌻
