I’ve been to that beach before I hiked down the road it was a nightmare. They actually filmed the opening scene for the first Jurassic park at the private waterfall a mile or two away. The locals are not friendly there do not go alone.

Do you know how fortunate you are? The places you’ve been, the places you’ve stayed, are incredible. Sometimes, I don’t think so, it all just seems “fun” for a such beautiful young lady. Hey love, this is a 22 y/o talking here. I love watching your vlogs. The adventures of your car breaking down, meeting up with friends, showcasing a part of your life is such a blessing to me. I never had the chance to move in the same direction as you. I had for a year or two before COVID hit. Then, I felt lost immediately after. Didn’t pick the right friends, the ones like you have. The one who would wanna adventure the world, hike, be goofy n enjoy the little things. But also money and the lack of connections rlly became the main factor. Now, I’m moved back with my mom and work my butt off. So, I say this not bc I’m trying to compare or to make myself look pitiful. But bc your channel like others I follow keep me hopeful. That one day, I’ll find the right group of friends and right experience. I got rid of my socials except RU-vid , and girly it’ll keep your eyes on your main FOCUS. That’s what I’ve learned so far. I hope this gives you clarity and a different perspective of your videos and how they impact, and that comparing is silly :) bc no one is you and what you have to offer.

Language and thought require comparison, you can’t know something without referencing the opposite but you can quiet your mind (slow it down a bit) through meditation, work, exercise etc. A lot of people do this with drugs and alcohol but not a good idea

However... don't compare your self to other "peers" you must compare yourself to unfortunate others.. compare your self to people who are paralysed from the neck down.. People who have multiple sclerosis, people who live in slums like the slums in Philippines and the favelas of Brazil, compare yourself to parents to have a dying child. I watch you because on the sailing channel I saw a mature young woman standing on her beliefs. The term “You Tube influencer” is a good one. One of your favorite channels influences us to travel, another one influences us to cultivate curiosity, another one to get up off our butts and do something. What are you influencing us about. Will that influence make a temporary difference in our lives or a permanent one. God has given you a platform, a voice, a beautiful personality, and opportunities that few are given. You need a clear message. The one who gave you all of this will give you the message. Meanwhile we will watch, pray, and support you. You’re doing a great job!!!!

Glory, its part of growing up. Later on, you’d realize that the things you worry now would become trivial, that is if, you get to surpass them. So feel your feels but don’t let those feelings run your life. Keep doing what you love doing and always recalculate so you can be authentic as possible. Don’t lose your true identity, the only one Glory Anna Bootsma and the uniqueness that comes with that name. I dont know if im making sense but hey I tried. God speed!

Glory… it’s easier said than done but try to give yourself some grace. I am 53 and nowhere near living the life I hoped I would have. Yes I am fortunate to work, have health benefits and retirement plan. Yes I’ve had the opportunity to travel, but nowhere as much as I’d hope. I still don’t own my own home. But the one thing I learned early on, is not to compare myself to others. I will share that if I had to do over again I would be in a career I actually wanted to. I would not allow myself to get sucked into society’s idea of what was expected of me as a female, especially when it comes to looks. You do you Glory. Whatever that means for you :)

I think everyone can attest to the thought of feeling like you don’t have your life figured out haha I’m 27 and I’m FAR from where I thought I would be and not in a good way 😂 HOWEVER everyone has their own path and although I would change some things, I love where I’m at! I still feel 21! 😂

Just to say, you are less than 1/3 of the way to my age and it’s all about learning but it doesn’t need to stop. Like right now I am retired but dedicated to mastering a new skill. It’s about mastering playing piano keyboard. Why fade away when I can create music? So 21 is not far down life’s track but don’t try and do too much. Like the Bible says be not many masters. It is better to master one than try mastering many. Mastery takes single focus, commitment and patience. You have it in you to excel. 11:48 lol, most any kid sending much time on a farm or ranch has tasted a horse cookie. Texture sucked while the taste was good to me. Now, regarding looking foolish - I would counter that using the gate worked great and was MUCH easier than carrying a tripod around. And the comparison is common especially among ladies. But here is the thing: 1) Being pretty and being attractive are not the same. 2) People will differ in what they ascribe to either (both terms) rendering large scale comparison moot. 3) Not sure where you thought you would be in life, but you seem in a good place to me. 4) I know you feel awkward in front of the camera - most of don’t see you in the same light. 5) Few quick success stories are nearly as quick as they might appear.
