If he has any concern about how long it takes, I'd encourage him to try pressing WindowsKey+Shift+S, but if he's happy with his method then everything's already optimal.

Does he just keep 1 slot for the animal swaps in this case or does he have to sell older units? because there are just too many level-ups for 1 squad, and old units are almost always better stat-wise so he'd just lose if he is forced to sell units.

He would have won even if the Butterfly didn't survive, Melon Lobster kills both of the last two units.

I got a 10 win with a level 3 yesterday. Works well with the dog but dog needs to be level 2 at minimum or else it’s just worthless

If it’s level 2 and he gets a dog / buffalo it’s effectively 2 gold for minimum 3 stat boosts + it’s stackable for more. Honestly shrimp is not even close to that bad compared to others

To put it another way, a Level 2 Hatching Chick turns whatever unit is ahead of it into a Bison for 6 gold cheaper than activating a Bison.

But it costs you 9 gold that you could've bought other animals/equipment with, for almost the same payout after three more rounds have passed, without the stat injection up front, on a already low statted unit that doesn't stay a good investment into the late game. Hatching chick is a early to early-mid game pivot spot, you don't need to level it and suffer all the drawbacks, just take the super-cupcake and in a round or three replace it with a GOOD scaler (monkey, penguin, poodle, etc.) instead of dancing with the one that only really danced with you for like, a song.

It'll certainly stop being a must-buy in literally all circumstances. However, the question is this: Is NL more addicted to the Swan's ability, or to its stats? My money's on the ability - which means he's never gonna stop buying it. Even if it makes him lose.

@@Drekromancer nah it's a solid unit at 3/3, some buffs and garlic would make it a pretty good unit early on. I think NL would be happy to take it less too, he only does strats that are way too broken to ignore. Swan was the best tier at the time.

It's classic NL though. It's the same way he plays games. The easier, more efficient, less complicated option is staring him in the face but he sticks with what he knows.
