Haha glad you liked it, I'll make sure to send a handwritten note next time 😉 Paint was custom for LTT which was the best we could do as a rework -- the normal Minisabers you can buy are a solid powder coated finish that doesnt scratch off 😅
@@bp4354 On one hand melting plastic/glass near your face is very dangerous like get a glove caught in a grinder, on the other hand it won't INSTANTLY blind and destroy your eyes. They can just be ripped off after you drop/throw the lighter away from you in panic.
we used to sell those exact same ones in my smoke shop for $14.99. $49.99 is outrageous when i know what they cost wholesale. and this lightsaber torch can also be found at wholesalers intended for retail at $19.99. just saying. theirs is custom, but only the color changing tips. also on walmarts site theres an identical one for $7.
@@TheGevShow Influencer tax and deceptive market? wow, really didnt expect that from the guy thats modding a blowtorch and selling it as a "lightsaber" for the last half-decade

Their version has a better QC though. I bought one off them and 2 off AliExpress and both from Ali have visible damage on the nozzle (chips etc.). They still work fine, but you can clearly see why they are so cheap. I think Hacksmith probably had to pay a bit more to the manufacturer with the amount of lighters they rejected (of course still nowhere near what they charge for it).
@@NdetonadosI give them a pass because it’s not like they’re trying to get rich off it. They were transparent about struggling. They need to make some money somehow.
You probably won't get copyright strikes from any ice cream truck. A few years ago, the RZA of the Wu-Tang Clan worked with an ice cream company to replace the problematic "Turkey In The Straw" to an new song he made free to the public. Most trucks, even the independent ones, have since switched.
@@dragonbowlsupper Really. Every fact I learn about that dude makes him more legendary. A recent video I saw about ice cream trucks dropped that one on me after teaching me about how racist the 100 year old public domain songs were. So RZA partnered with Good Humor to change it.
@@Magiwarriorx yea I checked weather I am correct or not , according to some articles breathing excessive of dioxide and monoxide of some metals can be pretty bad effect including the first and second group metal used to give characteristics flames
Hacksmith has gone pretty hard downhill since they did the powerloader. All their projects now are just making stupid stuff for whoever sponsored them, or upscaling a basic plasma torch and calling it a lightsaber lol.
FYI mechanically separated chicken is the meat scraps that get literally pressure washed off the bones after all the good chicken is cut off. I've never seen it in a hotdog. I've only seen it in slim jims.
The heat from the torches was too focused to properly heat the jiffy pop. It’ll just melt the aluminum pan at the focal point. A low/medium heat over the whole area is what cooks them.
@8:30 : Nothing like donning a highly flammable Halloween costume and lighting off a torch during an episode where a running theme has been "Health and Safety"
Did anyone else's heart skip a few beats in terror when you realized that Linus isn't the safest when hamming it up for the camera? My personal thought was "OH NO! I wonder what he is going to set on fire by accident when trying to intentionally set something on fire."

Is it safe to eat after you roast it with barium colored flame?
@@PixelatedH2O The concentration of barium from burning barium smoke is gonna be orders of magnitude higher than the amount in food, even foods "high" in barium.
For those that don't get the reference when Linus says "... the most July 1st thing..." at around 6:30 - July 1 is Canada Day, aka the nation's birthday.
I unironically use it for creme brulee all the time. It's my favorite dessert and they do a great job at caramelizing the sugar, the long blade and the handle makes is pretty ergonomic to use for that.
There are other colour changing lighters available on Amazon that shoot jets of flame and look like lightsabers, which are roughly $30 CAD. What makes this one so special? The salt crystals that last mere minutes? The Hacksmith branding?
The fact that their product came first and these other ones are mostly made by imitators? You can buy a set of airpods for 30$ too, doesn't mean they're gonna be good
There is also a 'lock' switch on the top portion, which means you don't actually have to hold down the button to keep the flame on! Although if it is stuck on, you probably don't want to drop it...
Pro tip: if the butane is squirting out when you fill it, it means the lighter is full of air. You need to stick a thin metal rod in the fill hole to drain the air. The ifixit screwdriver kit has a bit that fits perfectly.
Watching Linus fill the Mini-Saber reminded me when I had 2 fairly high end, which cost more than the Mini-Saber refillable butane lighters. I bought the way to expensive refills the manufacturer recommended, but once the initial fill they came with was gone neither, one work correctly again. Getting them to light too several tries, they wouldn't stay lit for more a couple seconds and would spit still liquid butane. I hope for customers these don't do the same thing.
So the salt changes the flame color is it okay to eat some type of food after cooking with it from my understanding when the fire changes colors burning debris that debris landing on the food whatever the salts made of
