I THRIFTED 10 Arula items on POSHMARK! Plus-Size Feminine Haul 

Hi Meredith. You sure do have some crabby people on here today! I hope you ignore them because we all sure do. My favorite today is that fringe jacket, the green romper and the black and white dress. Others were cute but washed you out. You have taught this 72 year old to wear what makes you feel good and now I do! My grands have told me I look as good as I feel. Never, ever wore dresses before but because of you I wear them everyday now❤❤❤

That floral romper isn't as short as you feel it is. It's really very cute on you. Of course it's always your decision what you wear but I just had to say how cute that is on you.

Another thought I had with the short dresses is wearing them with leggings - like a cute tunic-styled look. Could the little black dress would be worn with black dress pants for the office? I really liked that dress on you! And when I saw the green playsuit at 15:30, I thought why couldn't it be worn with a flare skirt under the top beautiful blousy layer - or even jeans or slacks for that matter, but on second thought it would be a pain in Ladies restroom. Maybe alter the shorts with snap/hooks or just cut the shorts out for a beautiful top. Just me thinking outside the box...🎁👱‍♀I liked the video and encourage to make another. It got my creativity flowing which is always fun.

When you wear clothes that make you happy in your day to day life, you feel good AND you give others permission to wear what makes them happy. I hope you keep the blue dress and wear it to the next time you go shopping.

I don't tell everyone this story but I feel I must share it with you. We can file it away with your story about the UPS man and your wrap around top.😂My sophomore year of High School, many years ago, 1970-something. After Christmas I wore my new navy brushed denim hip huggers and platform shoes to school. Strutting down the hall the toe of my platform shoe caught in my bell bottoms and I slid down the hallway on my belly right into one of the football jocks. Kind of like a bowling alley. I prayed for the floor to open up and swallow me at that moment. The point of this story is to warn you of the dangers of large bell bottom pants. 😂.

I love the thought of second hand. I make goodwill stops every once in a while. Sometimes they have a few really great items.

I find the older I get, the more feminine I dress. I'm 46 and have been gravitating towards longer, more flowy dresses and skirts with more feminine tops or basic t-shirts with a pretty cardigan or denim jacket. Arula is amazing IF you can find things on clearance or on sale. I have two skirts, a top and one dress that I found on clearance over the past year. I always feel like I should be running around on Ree Drummond's ranch for brunch when I wear my skirts 😆 I am so envious of your cords! I love the bells and the floral embroidery. The top is super cute, too. I like it with the pants, but I would probably wear it with a pair of wide leg denim jeans. The baby blue formal is absolutely so fun and so pretty!!! It's very garden party, ladies lunch, Mad Hatter's Tea Party, wedding...I'd wear it with a cream or silver low heeled summer sling back. The coral floral dress with the v-neck dress....oh I'd so move the buttons! LOL It's very fall...I'd pair it with a chocolate brown cami and chocolate brown knee high boots. That mossy green playsuit...Holy cuteness! It's short but it's so pretty on you!!! The cream flowy chiffon dress is precious. The pink maxi is just beautiful!!! The black tiered dress is so pretty on you, too! I love the last satiny dress. I have a lace edged slip that is meant to peek out from under dresses, in a cream color that would add 2 or 3 inches, that I would add underneath to give it a bit of length. I'd also change out the satin fabric belt with a dark brown skinny belt and add matching flats, sling backs or boots. I would absolutely LOVE to play in your closet!!! I am so glad I wandered my way to your channel. You're such a joy to watch. I love the twirls, the honest opinions, the different styles you show and again...the HONEST opinions 🙂 I hope you have a blessed day!

I loved watching Arula hauls but we don’t have them in New England. I was in TN a few weeks ago and happened to stumble upon an Arula when I was at the mall. I was so excited but man, what sticker shock! Their sweatshirts are adorable but they’re like $80! The clerk at the store was so cute because she kept saying “well right now they’re buy one get one half off”. Girl, that just means each sweatshirt is $60 instead of $80 which is still nuts! I was lucky enough to find a cute pair of jeans in clearance for under $15 and also a pale pink duster sweater for around $25 so I still consider it a successful trip.

I would love to see more brands from Poshmark!

For me if I found a dress that is too short but I like it and it fits, I wear it as a blouse with jeans, legging, skirt or shorts. Sometimes try a belt puff it alittle and seriously no one knows the difference.

I don’t Posh much, but I love to find pieces that sold out in my size that live rent free in my brain. Also, if your daughter has the time, I love it when there is a link to the original brand to find the size chart, and I like to know the material composition. Since these are probably mostly synthetic, maybe your softness chart you use in the videos. Hope you sell and maybe in 6 months or a year, you can give us an update on how Poshmark is working out for you (tips and tricks).

Love the concept! I’ve had mixed results with Poshmark. It would be interesting to compare Poshmark with eBay, ThredUp, and other secondhand retailers too. Appreciate you showing used clothing - I’m sure I’m not the only one who strives to buy secondhand first.

I buy pretty much everything secondhand. I’m mostly not a dress person so I wouldn’t buy many feminine dresses. As I’m in chilly Scotland, I buy pure wool and cashmere for the cold weather.

Adventurous haul! When you love something it really comes through! I actually like the blue tulle dress...its funky. I think the off center buttons might possibly be a factory mistake? If you feel comfortable in short things, you should wear them! I love the romper...just not with the boots.

I enjoyed this video and congrats on looking so fit and fabulous!! My only feedback is that many of them have pastel tones and I think bolder or more saturated colors are more striking on you. Loved the easy style of the long dress…but, the green patterned romper was a very fun design.

We have Poshmark in 🇨🇦 too but you can only buy from inside your own country…😩 Must have something to do with shipping…🤷‍♀️ We don’t have Arula here so it was nice to see your purchases, my favourite was the green romper and I think you’ll get a lot of wear from it! I enjoy your videos so much! Just fun to listen to your descriptions and see the fun you have trying everything on. One thing, though - while on a certain level I think it is okay to wear a wide variety of clothing even though someone else might not like it, there are aspects of living in a society that should come into play. For instance, wearing a dress that is so short you reveal your privates when you bend over or sit down. Wearing underwear that shows through your dress or cut outs that show too much skin or threaten to slip. (EDIT: None of these examples refer to anything you were wearing...just random examples.) Basically, a kind person would wear clothing that doesn't cause temptation out of respect for others. So the short dresses could be wearable with jeans underneath, for instance. Thanks for putting this video together for us!

Blue off the shoulder called “tea length”. The pink with buttons are off kilter the dress may have been a second. It’s NOT meant to be do go ahead and move them. I’m sorry I’m older and all those prairie dress remind me of Holly Hobby and Little House on the Prairie. Love Poshmark.i can get Vera Bradley purses sometimes with tags on for such good prices, i usually always buy under $25. Im scared to buy clothes because ive juse lately lost a whole lot of weight and i find i wear different sizes in different brands. When i stableize in size i will maybe dip a toe into buying clothes on poshmark.

Any of these short dresses could be worn as tops. That silky one might look great with jeans. Leggings are another option.

I love Poshmark! I think it is a great video concept, and it is so much fun to find a good seller that is mostly selling their own clothes, I agree. I think Arula has more of a juniors cut, so it was so helpful to see the pieces on you to get an idea for fit and sizing!

I usually love the clothes that you try on but today's were a miss on all counts, sorry. I am sure the next lot will be great.
